Kai Lani is a quiet gated community located in Ko Olina, a 640 acre oceanfront resort on West Oahu, the dry leeward side of the island. Ko Olina means 'Place of Joy,’ where the aloha spirit welcomes you to big blue skies punctuated by white clouds and palm trees kissed by the sun. Disney’s Aulani, the Four Seasons, and Marriott Ko Olina Beach Club anchor this premier resort.

All the luxuries of an upscale oceanfront property await our guests. Our 1320 square foot open-concept plan with its nine-foot ceilings offers three lovely bedrooms. Prepare for the day in the master bath with walk-in shower or a guest bathroom with a tub-shower combination. Ceiling fans cool each bedroom as well as the living area, and air conditioning provides comfort on balmy days. Smart TVs in the living room and in each bedroom provide family entertainment.

Furnished in a tropical coastal style, this comfortable first floor unit boasts a full kitchen to prepare home meals and gas grills just a two-minute walk away. Or venture further to dine at one of the many restaurants in Ko Olina’s pristine 5-star resort. Take a refreshing dip in Kai Lani’s heated pool, followed by a soak in the adjacent hot tub. Swim with the turtles at the Paradise Cove "Turtle" Beach, just two blocks away. Walk the 3-mile path along the four man-made lagoons of Ko Olina or spend the day there basking on one of the white sandy beaches. After dinner, walk down for a spectacular sunset at Milo Cove, the little beach minutes from our lanai. Spot an occasional Hawaiian monk seal or gentle sea turtle sunning itself on the rocks. Life doesn't get any better than this!

Interested in a day trip? Drive to the North Shore to watch the surfers ride the waves and grab a lunch of fresh garlic shrimp at a local shrimp truck. Our convenient location provides easy access to Waikiki, the Waianae coast, or the airport. Enjoy the best Oahu has to offer and return to your home away from home surrounded by lush tropical landscape -- our Place of Joy in Ko Olina.

We have stayed in the Ko Olina area 8 times in a dozen years at 4 different developments (Kai Lani, Ko Olina Kai, Fairways and Plantation). This was our favorite property to date. The unit and its available bedding were the perfect size for our family of 5, including 2 teenagers. More than adequately stocked family room, bathrooms and kitchen made for an easier Costco run upon arrival. Pool and grill area made for a great alternative on days when the lagoons were a little crowded. Nearby Kapolei has pretty much everything else you could need while on vacation. Special shout-out to Romy, the late afternoon-evening manager on duty. Hustled and bent over backwards to make sure everyone enjoyed themselves while on the property. Thank you, Vicki, for a great property.

If staying in Oahu 30 days or longer, Ko Olina area is excellent. Just far enough away from short term vacationers to have some quiet, but still close enough to all the tourism activities, when wanted.

Pros: Ko Olina is a fantastic destination and Kai Lani is a lush, beautiful complex within it. We’ve stayed in Kai Lani on three separate locations. This unit has a nice partial view of the ocean and is in a great spot within the complex. The owner was quick to respond to communications, check in/check out directions were very clear, and the garage is packed with things that you might otherwise end up buying (chairs, wagon, beach toys etc). Cons: The unit is in need of some R&M and a deep clean. Unit has not been maintained to the same standard as the complex itself, which is quite upscale. We ended up purchasing many household items that others might expect to find in a unit that requires a 30 day minimum stay (though that was offset by the items included in the garage). Overall, a pleasant stay in a beautiful corner of the world.

We really loved this place. My husband actually said its his favourite vacation rental ever, which is saying a lot. The condo has a wonderful layout and the kitchen is very well stocked with all the appliences and utencils etc you need for cooking. Paradise cove is just a short walk away where we would snorkle with turtles in the morning and play on the beach. The lagoons are also a short walk away. The kids loved the pool area. The big pool is heated, so our 2 year old could go in the water without shivering. There is also a wonderful hot tub there. Its was so nice hanging out by the pool and we made a lot of friends. Vicky is very nice and responsive. It was such a joy staying here. Highly recommended.

Property exactly as advertised. Vicky was great to communicate with. Couple of small issues were dealt with and resolved very quickly. We will be back!

This was our second visit to Our Place of Joy. We had the best time. The condo and grounds were perfect for us. Our group consisted of grandparents and adult children who worked remotely. We also vacationed! (Zipline, golf, pool, beach, snorkeling, lagoons....). We enjoyed visiting with our Honolulu family and tried to time our drives in and back to the off hours to avoid some of the traffic. Vicki was immediately available for any issues. It was a great visit in a perfect place.

We loved this property. It truly was "a home away from home." My family and I had grown up in the islands and had known Ko Olina in the times of sugar cane fields/kiawe wood. It was known as Sand Tracks in those days of Dad going fishing and us kids swimming all day. This vacation rental meant a lot as we got to reminisce in such a peaceful setting: clean, organized, love the Hawaiian fixtures, and oh so quiet!
