    Enjoy a cup of freshly ground Kona coffee on the lanai while you plan your day. Grab the beach towels and head out for a day of exploring or snorkeling at a local beach. You can also relax by the ocean with a book from the complex's lending library, although during the winter months you may be distracted by whales. Return to the condo for sunset cocktails enjoyed at the oceanfront beach area while you grill your dinner; maybe that fresh caught mahi mahi! Our complex includes a private beach area with lounge chairs, community BBQ grills, and picnic area.

    Our one-bedroom condo is a top/third floor corner unit (no elevator) in an ocean front complex. Because it is a corner unit, it has great airflow and provides both a partial ocean view and a magnificent view of Hualalai from the lanai. The living area includes a sofa sleeper that has a comfortable 8” mattress. The bedroom has a king size bed. The kitchen is well-stocked and includes a dishwasher and washer/dryer. The bathroom has a walk-in shower. Ceiling fans in every room keep the condo comfortable.

    In mid-2023, we installed a ductless mini split AC system in the living room and bedroom; we also replaced the lanai door and side window with a full wall lanai door (pictures do not reflect updates).

    The complex's solar heated swimming pool is ideally situated near the ocean edge, along with a sandy man-made beach, picnic area, and gas barbecues. A unique saltwater pool is next to the ocean. The saltwater pool is adjacent to, but not on, the Kona Isle property, and it is owned by the State of Hawaii. Use at your own risk.

    The town of Kailua (shopping and restaurants) is a short walk, as are beaches, snorkeling, and the Ali'i Gardens Marketplace. If you don't feel like walking or driving, the Kona Trolley conveniently stops along Ali'i Drive.

    This property is great and I loved that it was stocked with nice kitchen wares and some detergent and dishwasher soap and other helpful items. Means a lot. Nice condo and the beach/ grill area is the best. Makes for a really enjoyable evening We would stay again for sure

    This is our third trip to Hawaii and we have always stayed at Kona Isle. Great location and very nice complex. This particular unit the best of all three: updated nicely and clean. Would recommend it to friends for sure.
