The location in Kailua-Kona couldn’t be any more central, it was great! The accommodation itself was incredibly reasonable priced, clean, comfortable, spacious, quiet, included parking, and included bonuses such as beach chairs and boogie boards.

We had a a good 5-day stay here in Kailua. Location was perfect for us--near a grocery store, book store, walks along the bay, etc. Nice lanai, just note the view is not of the water. As noted by previous travelers, you'll receive some official emails in all CAPS from the mgmt company, but if you send a question to them a nice human responds.

This is an older property but is fairly well maintained. Very limited amenities, including no shade whatsoever by the pool, but the unit is very nice. It also could use some updates, but it’s well furnished, and the lanai is large and comfortable. The unexpected find was the lovely BBQ deck, perfect for sunsets and cocktails with ocean breezes. Really my only major gripe is the near constant and intimidating communication from the property manager, beginning well before our stay. We were barraged with threats of fees and fines, to the point that I was scared to unlock the door five minutes early and sat in my hot car waiting for the strike of 4:00. And super stingy too, letting us know we only get “starter” toilet paper, paper towels and trash bags. If every guest buys a box of their own trash bags, where do they all go?
Clean but a little worn out looking. The work being done in the basement parking area was concerning - is the structure safe? An explanation would have alleviated some worrying. The noise level from repair work during the day often prevented us from enjoying the lanai. When we could, we did enjoy sitting on the lanai and on the 4th floor deck. The main pluses are being able to have parking (very limited otherwise) and walking to restaurants.

Problem free would be the best way to describe our stay. All of the access codes worked, and everything in the unit worked with no issue. The balcony doesn't have a water view, but it is roomy with a nice breeze. It was the default location for morning coffee. Communication from the mgmt company was also prompt, friendly, and efficient.

We had a nice time in Kona and the condo was everything we were expecting. The photos and description were perfect other than the sofa has been updated. We were there for appr. 4 weeks and everything was great. We really enjoyed relaxing out on the deck late in the day and the view across to the church. We used the bbq's on the upper deck a few times and that was nice. This isn't a 5 star condo (and your not paying for one) so if you set your expectations realistically you'll be happy with your stay here. Having parking was an added bonus and touring around the island was the highlight of our stay. On the days we stayed in Kona it was very nice to be able to walk everywhere.

We missed our 50th anniversary due to COVID so we’re making up for it. We were here 10 years ago; and now we have circumnavigate the Island 🏝️. This place is a very short walk to the Kona Inn Plaza.
Our VRBO was a beautiful place to stay, the bed was comfy, great kitchen, bath and beautiful lanai. The air conditioning in each room was great too.
Chairs, towels and snorkeling equipment was provided for guest, and you could walk 5 minutes to town or the beach.
The parking in the garage was safe and secure with a special key provided.
We had a marvelous time and will return soon!

The location right off Ali’i drive can’t be beat. When sitting on the lanai at night, we could listen to live music playing from a restaurant on the other side of the church. I spent hours out on the lanai each night - it was wonderful.
The unit is on the second floor, right by the stairs/elevator. Unfortunately, this meant people were often walking directly by the bedroom window and the walls were so thin it was easy to hear conversions or just footsteps. This meant there is absolutely no privacy to be had in the bedroom.
There was also very minimum hot water to be had. The hot water in the shower lasted less than 10 minutes, and I ran out of hot water washing dishes. Also, water would begin to pool and stand in the tub during showers. It drained, but slowly. And anytime we had to wash off mineral sunscreen (the only sunscreen allowed anymore, very thick and hard to wash off) the draining problem was even worse.
If there are stairs to the parking garage, I never found them and the elevator requires a security key to access the garage. A key is provided, but it’s attached to a bright orange spatula. It’s not exactly something you can walk around with, so we often found ourselves having to return to the condo just to pick up the security key to access the garage if we wanted to drive anywhere. The garage itself is also strangely laid out and fairly tight to maneuver within.
Otherwise, no complaints. We really enjoyed our stay.

We had a fantastic stay at this property. The location is unbeatable, very easy to find & the checking in was relatively easy. All the amenities were perfect, we enjoyed sitting on the porch at night & listening to the live music that was happening downtown. It was perfect for what we needed - a place to crash during a beach vacation! All the amenities were as described & it was nice to have a full kitchen during our stay.The rental has chairs & an umbrella which were very helpful as well! The rental was also very clean & well maintained. I would recommend this to any couple staying somewhere, it's probably a little small for any other type of relationship. Big shoutout to TK Noodle down the street, you can walk here & the food is incredible! The guy made everything fresh for us. Our only complaint was that the furniture is just not very comfortable. The bed is very, very soft (we are not picky mattress people). The couch is stiff, it wasn't ideal for sitting and watching a movie or anything. Just not that comfy.

Not only was the location the best cause you could literally walk a few min to downtown kona but the place we stayed was clean and had everything we needed for snorkeling, hanging at the beach and what was also great was the washer/dryer was in the unit and to be able to do laundry before we headed home really was nice. Would definitely return in the future.The only thing is I wish the bed was a little newer and more comfortable felt like we kind of rolled to the middle when sleeping

As an old RN/Adult NP, I came for a short visit to assist my sister with her husband in late stages of head & neck cancer. Surprisingly she agreed to spend 2days/nights with me and this place provided a wonderful respite for her. Sitting on the Beautiful lanai drinking coffee, together was the best with a view of a church, plumeria hedges and birds singing. Close to beaches, shops & restaurants. Parking underground was convenient. Wasn't posh but perfect for me. Very hard to initially find in the dark. Residents were kind and helpful. Fully equipped kitchen, terrific bathroom and super shower. Nice amenities, as beach chairs, snorkeling gear, plenty of towels, wash cloths, beach towels and washing machine and dryer. Questions answered by phone. A most enjoyable stay. TV service hard to obtain. Recommend a clock. Didn't use swimming pool.. ,

Beach towels, umbrella & three beach chairs with three or four biggie boards. No cooler or children’s beach toys, though. We will definitely be seeing if this place is available next time we come. Beach chairs? Boogie boards? Extra blow up mattress (not used, but IF it was needed), blankets and towels for days. LITERALLY every thing you need for a trip to Hawaii including things as us from the mainland might not even think of. The management was great as well and easy to get a hold of through VRBO. Do not call their office up the street if you do need anything, they don't answer the phone. Other than that, the property is fantastic and a short walk to downtown. If I come back to Kona, this is where I'll be.

Kona Plaza was well situated, steps away from everything in town, yet it was easy to drive into. The property management is very detailed, their instructions are simple to follow, and they are communicative and responsive.
The condo was well equipped with everything we could need and was kept organized and uncluttered. If you’re looking for a luxury accommodation, I would suggest this may not be the unit for you. However, if you are looking for practicality and location with good amenities at a reasonable price, this is it.
