Good location by the beach. A bit of updating could bring this up to five star!
We enjoyed our stay at Kamaole Sands. The condo had everything we needed and the balcony was spacious and had a great view of the ocean. The grounds were beautiful and the complex was convenient to activities, restaurants and several beaches. The condo also had AC which is a must in July! Larry was awesome to work with. Highly recommend!
loved the proximity to the beach and easy to find eateries, coffee. etc....the beds were comfortable. Thank you for providing beach chairs and towels.. that was an extra that was appreciated . we would stay again

Our family had a great time in Maui. The condo had everything we needed for our family of five. The lanai easily accommodated all of us at the table and there was also a lounger. All lanais are not same size in this complex so do your research. Our host was great with all communications. This unit is closest to the courts if you like tennis and pickleball.
We had a fantastic stay here in April, 2025 for 11nights. My favourite part of the unit was the view from the lana'i. You're not right on the water, but you can see the ocean in the distance, and the wonderful gardens of Kamaole Sands. The lana'i is large (many units have smaller ones), and has great seating for a family.We found the unit well suited for our family of 5 with one child using the pull-out bed (our children are ages 10-12yrs old). Many places only have seating for 4 at their dining tables, but this place has seating for 6. Some aspects of the unit are dated (like the kitchen sink), but it has many other features (like air conditioning!), and everything was clean. There was a good selection of kitchen dishes, pots, etc. and some spices for us to use. There are also lots of fans if you don't want to use the air conditioning.The unit is in building one, which is close to the front desk building and tennis courts. The pool is a short walk away, but not visible from the unit. We also couldn't hear much noise from the pool either. Fountains run in the day and evening, which also provides some white noise. There is an elevator to get to the 4th floor.We had an issue with the front door lock, but the host was very prompt at responding, & has since had it replaced. Our kids loved the pool, & we loved that it had some shade for the deck chairs. Overall, a great stay!
Our family with two little kids stayed had a great time. We really loved the close access to the beach (quick walk down path and across street), walkability to coffee shops and restaurants/shops, beautiful views of ocean and sunset from the lanai, pool and grill amenities, and beautiful grounds. We also really appreciated the beach chairs, umbrella, and toys! It made for a very nice stay. Minor critique is that the upstairs mattress could use upgrading. Overall, we would like to return!
Kihei is a great spot in Maui and this is the perfect spot in Kihei. You can see the beach and walk to the beach with the wagon, chairs, umbrella, cooler and towels provided. The building you stay in is by the pickle and tennis courts and also where you sign up for them making it perfect for the activity. I am so looking forward to coming back.
Can’t say enough about how much we loved our stay! The condo was perfect for us. The beds were so comfortable even the pull out! The proximity to the beach and resort amenities made it an unforgettable trip! Will be back!

Our stay started off on a rough note. To the surprise of the owner, manager and us the unit was getting a new roof installed the day we checked in. Manager was great and offered to help us any way possible including moving to a different building. We may it work with the noise and just stayed away from the unit most of the days. We came back in the late afternoon and construction crews were gone. As far as the actual unit itself, it was perfect for us. Updated bathrooms, huge patio, air conditioning, and plenty of room for the family. We will definitely reach out again when we return to Maui.
Kamaole Sands is a favorite for all! This condo was clean and fully stocked with what we needed. Larry was an amazing property manager with great communication for any of our needs. Highly recommend! We will be back again!!!

We had some difficulty with the room code but it was resolved. Only suggestion would be to make it clear who else has the code on late arrival. We are new to vrbo so partly our fault. Overall this is an amazing place with all things needed. Beautiful view. Great place. Comfy beds. Lots to do.
The place was perfect for our 1-kid family with the grandparents along. Super location - kid-friendly beach right across the road with good snorkeling as well. Easy walking distance to many shops/eats. The condo complex had a nice pool with 2 hot tubs (one for adults only which was relaxing). A little thing, but a great bonus, was the folding wagon for taking the supplied beach toys across the street :)
Great customer service. Clean and well maintained residence.
AC was controlled by a timer. The timer is a mechanical type like what you find on a SPA. AC stayed on (running) until timer expired.
We liked the location-it was close to the beach and had easy access for parking. It was clean and neat.
