Walls of glass in the living room and dining room provide amazing views of the ocean and shoreline. The ocean becomes part of the condo! We are not exaggerating when we say that the location and view are incomparable, and our many returning guests will agree. The sunsets are incredible!
During the winter, you can even watch the whales from inside your condo. And year-round, the resident turtles swim along the shoreline. Relax and watch the surfers and ocean activities from your large lanai. Or swim from the shore (ocean conditions permitting).
SunsetShoresMaui is on the second floor of a 2-acre tropical low-rise resort and is ideally-located for privacy and relaxation. The resort recently underwent a year long renovation with new windows and doors, new exterior siding, and improved common areas. We have a newly-renovated oceanfront heated pool area with a popular spa/hot tub, new gas bbqs and a social area with great views of Molokai and Lana'i.

We stayed here with 3 adult couples. The condo had everything you could possibly need. It was clean and ready when we arrived with fans on. The minute you walk in, you see the ocean and have views from everywhere. The property was very neat and constantly being looked after. We had 6 adults and never felt cramped.
I would highly recommend this place to anyone staying in Maui!

We had a wonderful stay in Marilyn and Jim’s Maui home—5+ stars! It’s in a small condo association that is quiet and folks are very friendly. The grounds are beautiful, pool is great, poolside grills are cleaned every day.
The condo is a well-cared for home and had absolutely everything we needed for the beach and cooking. We whale watched every day from the lanai and sunsets were beautiful. Although we didn’t snorkel ourselves, we watched other guests enjoy swimming amongst the turtles just off the shoreline.
We took their recommendation and booked a whale watching tour with Triliogy. It did not disappoint.
Condo street location affords sidewalks for morning walks or runs and is within walking distance to coffee shop and fish market. The fish market is excellent. We bought fresh caught fish a couple times and grilled that up for dinner. Kapalua Beach is just a short drive, as is Whalers Village.
We would definitely stay here again when we return to the island. Thank you Marilyn and Jim for sharing your home with us.

We had the pleasure of staying at this stunning VRBO property in Maui for our Christmas vacation and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by breathtaking sunsets, enchanting rainbows, and the magnificent sight of whales in the distance. The views alone made this stay exceptional.
The grounds were meticulously cared for, and every detail was thoughtfully considered. The property was well-organized and equipped with all the amenities we could have ever wished for. Snorkel gear, beach chairs, and towels were readily available, making our beach adventures a breeze. The well-stocked kitchen allowed us to prepare delicious meals, and the cleanliness and elegance of the entire space added a touch of luxury to our vacation.
One of the highlights of this VRBO was the beautiful balcony that offered sweeping views of the surrounding beauty. We spent many memorable moments taking in the scenery.
The pool and jacuzzi were the perfect way to relax after a day of exploring, and they added an extra layer of comfort to our stay.
Marilyn, our host, was incredibly responsive and helpful, ensuring that our communication with her was seamless.
In summary, this VRBO in Maui is undoubtedly the best we've ever had the pleasure of staying in. Mahalo

The lanai provides a lovely view and sunsets are amazing! The property itself was close to Laihaina and it was easy to find. There is no AC at this rental. It is fine in the morning and the evenings. However, in August during the day it can get a bit warm inside. Other than that we had a wonderful stay! So thankful to have wonderful memories to cherish.

We had three adult couples traveling together - and we all could not have been more happy with Marilyn's place. We had plenty of room, and the location could NOT have been better. The entire property is in an amazing spot, but we'd argue that Marilyn's condo is the best of the entire group. We ate on the balcony many nights and sat there every morning. We didn't want for anything in the kitchen.
Easy travel to close public beaches, but we also "sat on the beach" right there at the condo a couple of days (not much sand, but sheltered and cool, and it was beautiful and we could run back up to the condo for lunch, bathroom breaks, etc. We used the pool and hot tub every day.
We were nervous about no A/C - and while there were a couple of nights (remember that we were there last week in June) that were a bit warm (with all windows open/fan on) it was never too much, and by the time we were sleeping it was totally fine. We echo what others have said about the unbelievable sounds of the ocean crashing just below us that were oh, so soothing.
Lots of things that were walkable (farmers' market, coffee shop, etc.) and only an average of 50 minutes from the airport. We plan to be sure to book this exact same place when we come back!! Thanks Marilyn!

Wonderful views. We felt with the view and ocean sounds that we were as close as we could possibly be to the ocean. The very well-kept grounds, quality condo renovations, excellent pool and hot tub, closeness of shopping / restaurants, and stocked kitchen accessories was extremely comfortable and we spent quite a bit of time at the condo. When we took excursions it was nice to come “home”. We positioned the fans and pulled down the shades in the late afternoon to keep the cool in but in the evening put up the shades and enjoyed evening sunsets as the tiki torches got lit and the conch calls signaled the sunset. We took a bit of an adventurous snorkel off the beach behind the condos. Once we got past the rocks we swam with turtles and collected some shells. I will miss falling asleep and waking to the ocean and bird sounds. We will be back.

We so enjoyed the condo view and accomodations! Marilyn has everything you need labeled, a welcome basket, a lovely book with local information and pamphlets. The sound of the waves is so comforting, condo was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the fresh air and had no difficulty sleeping without ac. The fans and open windows kept us cool. There are beach chairs and snorkel supplies, with plenty of beach towels with a tote. Best VRBO rental ever! Thank you Marilyn for sharing your slice of paradise!

The place was spacious for 3 couples. Nice to each have our own bathroom. They have everything you could need for your stay: beach chairs, snorkel gear, beach bags, ice packs. Wonderful stay for all of us!

We came here for a small but long overdue family reunion and had an absolutely wonderful time. As soon as we walked in, we were in awe of the view of the ocean and sunset/horizon, as well as the beauty of the condo. Everything was tastefully decorated, beds were so comfortable, and the kitchen supplies wonderfully stocked. We had brought a sound machine for our baby, but found we didn't need it as we had the real deal with the ocean right at our doorstep!
As an aside, Marilyn was also very helpful to work with directly prior to our visit. I had a few mishaps in booking (i.e. using the wrong credit card, as an example), and she was patient and accommodating.

We spent six days in paradise at this beautiful condo which had all the amenities of a luxury hotel with more privacy. The condo which is an end unit had an unobstructed view of the water and we enjoyed seeing turtles and whales migrating from the porch. This condo was comfortable and in excellent condition…a big thank to the owners for their wonderful hospitality!

This condo was perfect for our family. We felt it was the best one at Polynesian shores, being an end unit. It was closest to the ocean and part of the balcony was private. The unit was clean, up to date, and very well equipped and was 'as advertised' on vrbo. The owners were super responsive, the check-in process was flawless, and abundant guidance was provided for enjoying the local surroundings and Maui in general.
