The room was great. It did run a bit warm- we ended up buying a fan at Walmart to make it comfortable to sleep. The property really only has one pool, the second pool is only 4 inches deep. But there’s a lagoon very close to the hotel that was refreshing. Nice location

We really enjoyed our stay! The view is perfect and we enjoyed several mornings drinking our coffee on the lanai, as well as several evenings during our down time. There’s a small kitchen with a coffee maker, microwave and roomy fridge. The living room is small but comfy. There are two beds that were comfortable, just right for my sister and I. The seating for the fireworks show is great, right from the roomy balcony/lanai. The bathroom was small, but roomy to get ready in. The bathtub is very deep and I’m 5 foot. I was able to get in and out ok. It’s perfect for soaking sore muscles if you have the time. We didn’t rent a car and used the hop on hop off bus system to get around, or walked. The location was perfect for all the excursions we took; we were picked up right there at the valet spot or nearby. There were two beach chairs in the closet, but for our beach day we chose to walk to the other side of the lagoon and rent chairs and an umbrella. The host, Darden, was very kind in responding to my many questions, even when it was inconvenient to her. I didn’t realize the time difference between us. There are sensors on the sliding glass doors. If you don’t make sure the door is tightly closed, the sensors don’t match up and the air conditioner won’t come on. Make sure you close the door and look to see if the light is on, on the air conditioner unit above the tv. That was our only problem of my own making. I highly recommend this unit for your vacation.

We stayed 5 days and did not have a car. We walked the length of the beach 2.5 miles. (our beach was at W end and not actually Waikiki) We had great access to the beach, restaurants and boating activities- within a block. Best thing was huge ABC store across street for food, beach items, souvenirs. The condo was small with a tiny kitchen but who cares when your days outside or sitting on their comfy patio chairs watching surfers, beach activity and whales spouting 3 mornings in a row while drinking coffee? Take binoculars for whale watching. They had 2 (heavy) beach chairs. Get up early to check same floor tables for things people leave behind: ie body boards, leis, beach toys and food staples. We will be back. Restaurant at the top was wonderful $$$ and great view. Take the glass elevator to top. Just needed better/big coffee cups!

Pros - the Ilikai is walking distance to many of the restaurants and shops downtown as well as the lagoon. We didn’t get down to the pools but they look clean and lots of space. The store near the lobby has a little of everything and convenient if you forget toiletries or need a quick sandwich after getting in late from a tour. The valet was VERY nice and quick. Television does have quite a few channels to choose from if you have some down time. The view is beautiful. We did have small maintenance issue while we were there and it took a bit to get an answer (remember most owners of these units are in different times zone) but she did send someone to address the issue. Fireworks on the beach visible from the balcony on Friday night. Cons - that bathtub. I read the reviews about it but we typically don’t get concerned about little details like that. This bathtub is difficult to get in/out even if you’re a little taller. The beds could have been more comfortable but they weren’t bad, just ok. Storage, there is a little closet with hangers but I wish the unit with baskets for clothes was a dresser instead. Privacy, we kept the drapes closed most of the time because there are a lot of units that can see directly into this unit. All and all I’d stay again!

This was an awesome property. The view was as described and beautiful. The property was well maintained and had everything we needed. Maybe a couple of larger coffee cups would be good. Yarden was super and replied to all my numerous questions very promptly and we appreciated her kind caring for our check in and check out. The only item that was not provided was a phone so we could not call local nor could we call home. It did state local and long distance included. However, we loved our stay here and will definitely use this property again. The only sad thing is we had to come home. Thank you for an enjoyable stay.

This property is in the Ilikai Hotel with a lovely view, pools, steps from the lagoon and convenience store in the building. You do not have access to the fitness center but there are plenty of activities. You can walk to Waikiki or take a bus to Ala Moana Center or the International Market Place for fun restaurants, shops and people watching. Communication was good and beds were comfortable. I would recommend more or better coffee cups and glasses, a few wine glasses and a bath mat. It was very comfortable for my sister and my getaway. Clean and nicely furnished and decorated. Lanai chairs are better than most. Bathtub was not a problem and A/C worked fine, just keep the lanai door closed. Thanks!
