    2024 Construction Alert: The Whaler Tower 1 is scheduled for undergoing exterior spalling and painting from August 19, 2024 to March 3, 2025. The exterior work is to be done on a stack by stack basis across the building, The work for our studio section is scheduled for December 9, 2024 to February 3, 2025, with a holiday blackout period for the weeks of Christmas and New Year. There will be scaffolds around the sections/stacks undergoing repair/painting and you will have limited access to the lanai from 8am - 5pm during construction.     Had a great time in Maui. Celebrated our 50 th anniversary with our kids and grandkids. Condo was clean and located close to restaurants and the beach. About 30 minutes from the airport. Easy checkin in service was excellent. Would stay again if we went back to Maui.

    If had a beautiful view and the location is great. The unit was nice but a little rundown and the bed needs a new mattress. It sinks down in the middle and very uncomfortable.

    The property grounds and room was beautiful. The property owners was great to work with. The only down fall which I brought to the owners attention which is no fault of their own is the property management do not uphold their rules & policies of the property which was disappointing. However, I would definitely stay there again & highly recommend.

    Needs some renovation in the bathroom Carpet needs cleaning Flooring should be replaced The building was nice but I think other units would have a nicer view

    Condo was exactly as advertised. It is in a great location with nice amenities. Only issue was no middle of stay maid service. I would go back again.

    The condo has a great lanai with views of Kaanapali beach, black rock and whales swimming nearby. It is centrally located and very easy to get to restaurants and shops at Whaler’s Village. We were extremely pleased with these aspects. The condo needs major updating though. In particular, the carpet has unacceptable stains, and the shower/toilet room has ceiling tiles that are coming off. The bed was comfortable, but the other furniture needed refreshing. We spent most of our time out of the condo, and didn’t utilize the living space other than the lanai in part due to uncertainties about cleanliness since a large carpet stain was next to the couch. The Whaler is not as high end as other properties along Kaanapali beach, but we knew this, and opted for location and simplicity as well as view. Nonetheless, some units are nicer than others, and this one would have rated higher with needed improvements. My rating takes into account the limitations of this condo relative to others along Kaanapali.

    Whaler is definitely the place to stay. 1018 is a very nice studio with a great view. You can enjoy the lanai all day as Tower 1 is situated to receive no direct sun. However, that also means you must go to the beach or pool if you are wanting to tan.
