    Aloha,

For many visitors to Maui the idea of staying in a private tropical beachfront estate appears impossible or just an idyllic scene of yesteryear. But a stay at the Kahana Nui Villa will make this dream come true.

As you enter through your own automatic wood gate, you'll find yourself immediately greeted in the courtyard with a towering Monkeypod tree surrounded with lush tropical gardens. Many people  immediately wander around the house first and are astonished to discover Kahana Nui is carefully nestled steps away from Maui's incredible marine sanctuary. It is not unusual to spot spinner or bottlenose dolphins playing, or humpback whales breaching just off shore. Sometimes you'll find giant green sea turtles (honu) or even endangered monk seals sunning themselves on the sand. Early risers, may wake to enjoy a stunning sunrise and discover local fisherman casting their traditional nets or spear diving for octopus (tako) in the shore break.

Looking toward the ocean the views from the front of Kahana Nui stretch from the south shore of the island of Lana'i to Mokuniki just off shore of the north east edge of Moloka'i. These views are not just from the tranquil yard, but even from two stories of glass lined lanais not to mention from the comfort of the king size beds in four of the oceanfront master suites facing west inside the home.

The house itself is centered in the middle of the estate on large poles rising up towards the clouds. As you ascend the stairs and enter you are surrounded with unique architecture adorned in grand details commissioned by Indonesian artisans. Referred to by the locals as "The Bali House", Kahana Nui is a six bedroom, four and a half bath luxury oceanfront home on the beach in Kahana conveniently positioned between historical Lahaina Town and the exclusive resort area of Kapalua on the west shore of Maui.  The open-air and open-floor house was specifically designed to take advantage of the gentle trade wind breezes. The front of the house features a massive retractable floor-to-ceiling glass wall that easily slides away to create a refined indoor/outdoor oceanfront living and dining experience. On the rare occasions when the tradewinds ebb, each bedroom is equipped with their own individual ...

I cannot thank Suzy enough for such an amazing place! We had a blast all things considered with the fires in Maui in early August 2023. Even without internet, power and cell phone service, we had a great time enjoying the pool, beach access and seeing turtles from the lanai. We would not hesitate to return to this fantastic place when we return to Maui! Mahalo Suzy!

Celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary at the Kahana Nui Villa with our sons, their spouses and our grandchildren. With over a year worth of trip planning, everyone was wowed with this extraordinary South Pacific oceanfront home that has spectacular views of the ocean and Molokai and served as our base to explore and enjoy the Island of Maui. We could not be more pleased with our stay, as we had everything we needed to prepare meals, enjoy the great pool and use of its other facilities that helped keep the grandchildren engaged. If you have a large group, this is a place we would highly recommend.

Can’t imagine a better place to stay! We had 14 family members with ages ranging from grandparents to 7 months old. Everyone enjoyed their own rooms/suites and also loved the common areas to spend time together, both inside and outside the house. The pool was a blast and the beach access was great! We’re already planning a return trip!

Over all the house and location was amazing. Everything you needed grill, hot tub, pool, beach the views are amazing. Of course the one down fall is the bridge construction, I know owner has no control but it was the only thing that was inconvenient on the trip. Suzy was a pleasure to work with and hopefully will return in the future

The house was amazing, the location was stunning, surpassed only by Suzy’s graciousness. The only minor issue was the roadwork outside the home, something out of Suzy’s control. We leave with family memories that we will cherish forever.

Spectacular! A true paradise. Older property with Polynesian character. Wonderful whale watching from the large deck. Some maintenance needed but didn’t impact our enjoyment. Biggest issue is major road construction by the county at front of property. Quite ugly and cumbersome but not the owner’s fault.

The house was comfortable, clean, and homey! We wanted for nothing. The house was everything and more we wanted and expected. There was 11 of us and at no time did we feel like we were on top of each other. Suzy every made sure we had a Christmas tree to enjoy. We will definitely be back!

The house was great. The Kahana Stream and bridge became a big issue. They are replacing the bridge. They opened the stream to the ocean and the crystal clear ocean turned brown for three days. We went away for a whole day tour to Hana and returned to our vehicles barricaded in the driveway. Thank God we’re gone next week they are removing the bridge. The bridge work was annoying to say the least.
