Kiahuna Plantation Beach House #179 – Our Hawaiian Heaven

We welcome you to our Kiahuna Plantation Beach House. Unit #179 is our home away from home, and we look forward to sharing it with you. Our unit was completely remodeled with an open concept kitchen with quartz counters, new cabinets and appliances. There is also a new quartz vanity and walk in shower. We also added all new living room and dining room furniture, as well as new flooring and paint. In January of 2024, we installed Air Conditioning in the living room and bedroom. (most Kiahuna Condos with A/C have it only in the living room). We also have 1 gig internet via fiberoptic cable. Our condo is located in a quiet and coveted portion of the Kiahuna Plantation property, just off the ‘Great Lawn’ and near the beach, but set back a bit for more privacy. There is a pleasant lanai with a great ocean view to watch the surf, enjoy meals, relax with a book, or sip an evening cocktail. Our unit’s second story location provides vaulted ceilings, a better view and takes advantage of the cooling trade winds. Parking is close by and there’s only one flight of stairs. It’s about a 1 minute walk to the sand so there’s no need to pack the car for a day at the beach. The Poipu Village Shopping Center is about a 6 minute walk across the street for dining, shopping or a quick Starbucks run. Also a 6 minute walk is the Poipu Beach Athletic Club which is available to our guests. At the Athletic Club you’ll find a pool, spa, tennis courts and work out facilities as well as a poolside restaurant.

We really liked our stay in this unit. As noted in the listing it looks recently remodeled. It was clean. The furniture looked like it was in good shape. The bed was comfortable. The kitchen appliances were clean. There were a few times we wished that the unit had AC, but if you open the windows in front and back there will be a nearly constant breeze. It was comfortable at night with the ceiling fan on and the windows open. The view over the lawn and the beach in the distance was nice. During the day there were several times when there was a lot of noise from the lawn area. One time it was the gardeners. Another time it sounded like someone was running a compressor. The best thing about this unit is that it's very private. To get to the unit you go up a flight of stairs. At the top there are just two doors, one to the right and one to the left. This means that no one has to walk by the unit to get to another one. We left the windows open in the bedroom almost all of the time.

Location of Kiahuna Plantation in Poipu is ideal! Love the green, green lawn, location to the water and unit was so nicely upgraded! I could see vacationing there every year! Thank you for sharing your slice of paradise!

Amenities are deceiving. The listing says pool, hot tub and fitness center so I assumed they were on the property. You actually have to use the Poipu Athletic Club, which is just ok. The locks where changed while we were out one day with no notice. It was pretty scary since we got back to our room late. Luckily the office was still open to give us a code. The room itself is cute and well appointment. It was so hot though we hated spending time inside. Instead we tried to find a hotel with air con but everywhere was booked. No wifi in the room, we were told by maintenance it was off and we weren’t allowed to reset it ourselves. Had to wait for the internet service provider. Never did get it. The beach is lovely and the location is wonderful

The room and property were gorgeous. We had a relaxing vacation and everything we needed in the condo. Perfect for a family of 4. We would definitely stay again!
