This accommodation is a delight, our favorite accommodation in Hawaii of the 10+ accommodations where we have stayed.
The accommodation's characteristics that we particularly appreciated include:
a) The location. There is a glorious beach a hundred or so yards away by foot.
b) The owners are very helpful in meeting the needs of us renters. We had a couple of requests of the owners while we were there, and they were met speedily.
c) The accommodation has three bedrooms, one of which is on its own floor, offering additional privacy.
d) The kitchen is well stocked, including plastic containers for leftovers, ample paper products (paper towels, etc), a set of knives with a knife sharpener, and a rice cooker.
e) The two beach chairs, beach umbrella, several boogie boards and surfboards, and a beach wagon to carry items to the beach were all in good working order.
We loved our stay, and were sorry to leave. We hope to be back.
Rob and Martha's beach house is wonderful, quiet, clean, private, and tastefully decorated. The house is located just steps from the breathtaking Kailua beach and close to town. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and cannot thank Rob and Martha enough for sharing their beautiful home with us. We highly recommend this beach house to anyone who wants to spend a very quiet and relaxing time enjoying the beach.
We, a family of 4 adults, stayed there for ten days. Location is absolutely fantastic! walking distance to the beach and to town, 30 minutes drive to Waikiki or to North shore. The house amenities are fabulous! It has everything you need for a relax and enjoyable family getaway. Fully equipped kitchen with a relax open concept of kitchen, dining and family area; lots of bath and beach towels; jumbo TV, AC in every room, wifi, bikes, beach chairs, beach umbrellas, snorkeling mask etc..and washer and dryer are huge added bonus. And Rob was a great host. He responded to our questions promptly. We would definitely stay here again next time we are in Oahu.
Martha and Rob have done an excellent job updating this rental and supplied all that was needed for a relaxing enjoyable holiday. We appreciated the separate bedroom and ensuite, perfect when sharing with family and grandchildren. We often spend part of the winter in Kailua and with It's proximity to the beach and great sunsets off the balcony this is our favorite place yet. We loved every minute of our stay.
The apartment was perfect for all our needs—family of 6. Impeccably clean and tastefully decorated. All the necessities, and nothing you don’t need. Right by the beach and Kailua town about 1 mile and a half away. Bikes and kayak for use. The owners are available for anything you might need but otherwise the place feels like your own home. Gorgoues view of the mountains from the living room. Perfect for reading books or spending time with fam. Two of us live on Oahu and have a high bar for rentals. We all loved it and would want to stay here again when friends or family are visiting. Definitely recommend.
