Our 2 bedroom 2 bath condo received a complete renovation so we can offer all the amenities the discriminating traveler desires. From the stainless steel kitchen complete with all small appliances, glassware and cookware to the Select Comfort Sleep Number adjustable mattresses on the king and twin beds, from the custom bath and shower areas with hair dryers to the flat screen TVs with DVD players in the bedrooms and living room, to the full-size front loading washer and dryer in the unit (with free laundry detergent!)- - we strive to fulfill your needs. We provide a small library of books and games if you want to spend an evening inside just relaxing. And of course - FREE WI-FI.
Why the Owner Chose Kihei: : Of all the places we looked at to purchase, Kihei Akahi offered a superb sunny location within walking distance to great restaurants and shopping. We discovered that many times when it rains in Lahaina and Kaanapali, Kihei is usually sunny and warm. Located across from Kaamaole Beach II (voted the best beach on Maui several times) and offering 2 pools with BBQ facilities and tennis courts on site added to Kihei Aklahi's qualities. Boat trips, whether for scuba diving, snorkeling or rentals can be found within walking distance at Kihei Boat ramp.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:: Year Purchased: 1995 - The outstanding view from our lanai is next to Heaven itself. We have over 180 degree view from the west Maui mountains to Molikini Crater. From December to April whales frolic in the waters off Kaamaole Beach as if there to be your private performers. And if sunsets aren't breathtaking enough, looking out the front door up Haleakala Volcano at sunrise surely will do the job.
Owner Description/Comments:: We, Sue and Bill, have been condo owners in Kihei Maui since 1991. We have traveled to all of the Hawaiian islands since 1983 and truly believe Maui No Kai Oi - Maui is the Best. Our sons were raised with many trips to Hawaii learning to appreciate the Hawaiian sea life, culture and natural beauty. Each time we arrive at this condo we feel like we are “home”. It is always clean, well equipped, and the new blinds are a plus. We never need the air conditioning as the breeze cools the entire condo. The view from the top floor is spectacular and the tropical gardens and bird life keep it interesting. We will be back!

We LOVED our stay at Kihei akahi! This is the best condo on the property. We’ve stayed in buildings B and C on previous trips. This unit has the best possible view of the ocean. It was very clean and had everything we needed. It was perfect! Thank you Susan for sharing your condo with us.

Condominium was in the perfect location walking distance to restaurants, live music and the beach. AC was perfect, beds were comfortable and the unit was stocked with almost anything you may need. I’d definitely come back!

We stayed in this very spacious unit for a week with another couple. The layout is great for 4 people as we had lots of space. One of the best parts of this condo is the lanai with a spectacular view of the ocean (you can see the sunset from it), West Maui and Mount Haleakala! The lanai is spacious enough for 4 people to comfortably enjoy it.
Although the second bathroom is not ensuite, it's as if it is since it shares an entryway with the 2nd bedroom, which has a great view of Mount Haleakala.
The A/C worked very well to keep the bedrooms cool overnight - the only time we used it.
The one negative was the beach chairs which were quite old. I contacted the owner who was very responsive and gave me permission to buy new ones (we were going to Costco anyway!) for which she very promptly reimbursed me. We were very happy to have the new chairs. There are also two beach umbrellas, a boogie board, some snorkeling equipment and a cooler - everthing needed for a great day at the beach!
The resort is in a great location, across from KAM II with many shops and restaurants within a 15 min. walk.
Would definitely rent this unit again.

We picked the right place in Kihei!
It starts with the view from the 6th floor corner balcony out to the ocean. Great place to enjoy coffee in the morning and a beverage at sunset.
The grounds of the Kihei Akahi property are so lovely.
The condo truly had everything - fully stocked kitchen, beach towels, beach chairs and umbrellas, snorkel gear and kids beach toys, laundry detergent, sunscreen, games and books, even a vase for our purchase of locally grown flowers!
The entire condo property is very quiet. This unit is in building D, at the back of the property. Only 4 bldgs, so it's easy to navigate. We didn't use either of the 2 pools, but one was directly behind our building. The building has an elevator.
You exit the property and cross the street to a lovely sand beach: Kamaole II. So convenient, since we really wanted to relax on the beach for a couple of days before sightseeing.
It's a fairly commercial section of Kihei, but that makes it easy to pick up snacks, get gas, etc. It was a short drive to see the beautiful Wailea resort area.
Sue (the owner) was so responsive throughout the process.
The communications from the management company (arrival, door code, departure) were timely and helpful.
The property's on-site office staff were delightful and friendly!
I would definitely recommend this condo!
