Location Location Location! Our Lanikai ocean front location exactly in front of the twin Mokulua Islands provides endless hours of outstanding views from the ocean front yard, the living room, dining room, and side deck.
A perfect place to work remotely, as you have an ocean playground at your doorstep when you need a break. We have fiber optic cable to the house which provides extremely high speed internet (900Mbs download, 300Mbs upload). We provide substantial discounts for stays of 30 nights or more.
Our railed stairway to the ocean gives you easy access for swimming, snorkeling, and kayaking. Kayaks can be rented from several local companies, most of which will drop-off and pick-up for free, and the kayaks can be launched down the stairway. The ocean floor in front of the house is sandy and great for swimming and floating, while further out there's great snorkeling.
As you relax in the yard, on the lanai, or in the house, you'll see all kinds of action floating by: outrigger canoes, kayakers, standup paddle boarders, fishermen, kite boards, sail boats, and more. The natural breeze usually keeps things cool and comfortable.
Your bungalow is a simple and comfortable two bedroom, one-bath ocean front duplex. We can accommodate four guests: 2 in the lanai bedroom (King bed), and 2 in the ocean front bedroom (Queen Bed). There is also a queen sized futon in the living room. In addition to the shower in the bathroom, there is an outdoor hot water shower. The King bedroom has a window air conditioner unit.
The side deck includes relaxation areas, easy access to the kitchen and bathroom, and outdoor shower area. The outer deck has a table with chairs, a canopy, outdoor mood lights, and a propane BBQ.
The two sides of the duplex are private and well-separated. The owners maintain a low profile, but are always available if needed. You may not even see them during your visit unless you run into them in the driveway or the ocean front yard. The yard is divided by a privacy panel and the owners have a small outdoor area on their side of panel.
This property is a legally established dwelling that is rented for periods of 30 consecutive days or more at any one time regardless of actual occupancy. Please contact the owner should you have any questions.

A Great Cottage in a Wonderful Location
We thoroughly enjoyed our entire week+--the house was clean, comfortable, and just earthy enough to feel like home. Although we never met, the owners were totally responsive and attentive, fixing a minor plumbing issue on a weekend, and making sure everything was right for us -- which it was. We are already planning our next trip to Lanikai, and this is our first choice for accommodations.

Well-appointed, extremely clean, and beyond comfortable - our stay was perfect! Four adults had more than enough room with several options for finding a cozy place to relax. Even sharing one bathroom wasn’t an issue with the extra outdoor shower, and there was plenty of hot water for all. Also plenty of cool breezes coming through the entire bungalow, and when we needed the air conditioner in the main bedroom, it cranked out cool. Kitchen was spacious and filled with everything you need for cooking up light or big meals. Loved having access to the water right there, they have all the outdoor floats you’d need, and a Lanikai beach entry is just down the street.
John & Roz were great too! Hardly knew they were there and whenever we did encounter them, they are friendly and easy-going. Thank you for making our stay so warm and welcoming. Aloha!

We had the best time at this perfect Lanikai home on the water. With access to the best beach on Oahu plus paddling, snorkeling or whatever water sport you may enjoy literally in your backyard, there really is no better place to enjoy a Hawaii vacation!
The entire cottage is clean and set up for a worry free retreat. The kitchen has everything anyone could want for home style cooking. The dining and family area is open and extremely comfortable for lounging and taking in a cool breeze from the ocean. The outside, however, takes the show. When you’re not in the ocean, you will probably want to spend most of your time in the backyard enjoying the weather and incredible views of the Mokes and tranquil waters of Lanikai. There’s a small but ample workhorse of a grill for outdoor cooking and one of the best outdoor showers around to rinse off with after a fun day outside.
All in all we loved our stay and would definitely return. Many thanks to our gracious hosts.

This is the best Vrbo we have rented after many. It has the best location and john and roz are incredibly welcoming. We were a family looking to have good old fashioned chill time as a family.
and reconnect. The location is wonderful on the island for touring and for staying local. rental is well stocked with everything a family needs. Loved the water and the view is unbeatable. Really great experience.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this wonderful bungalow that comfortably accommodated me, my husband, our young adult son and his friend. We were also able to entertain our friends from the area using the barbecue and outdoor dining. The house has all of the amenities you need, everything is in good working order and the breezes and access to the ocean are incredible. The owners are close by to say hello but were quiet and discreet which we really appreciated. Highly recommend this wonderful home for the best vacation Lanikai can offer.

Location is everything! This 2 bedroom is right across from the Mokes where you can see the sunrise every morning, and have a view all day. The cottage is wells stocked, clean and has everything you need. There are plenty of water toys and even a hammock in the yard. The owners are on property, but give you total privacy, but are there if you need anything. Thanks to John and Roz for sharing their lovely [lace in Lanikai!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Views were perfect. Location is ideal. Rental was relaxing and comfortable but not fancy. Note that this like a duplex with nice owners on the other side. They’re not there half the time, but renters should expect this. You should plan for a small-medium size rental car at the largest as the parking is tight (mini van would be too long for example). Had rental kayak and paddle brd delivered to back yard for 5 days. Plenty of beach towels & gear but supply your own snorkeling gear. Our 11 yr old loved sleeping in the futon in the living rm as the 3rd sleeping area. One bathrm but also an outdoor shower.
Walked to Pillbox Hike from house. Snorkeled and swam in front of house. Paddled to the Mokes and around. Easy to have dinner in Kailua with all the options there. Plus Kailua’s Whole Foods, and many other stores.
Only downside was that our 11 yr was painfully stung twice by man o’ war. Twice! Days apart. It may have had something to do with a full moon right at the beginning of our 10 day stay. Nobody else was stung. Still, we’d return to this slice of heaven.

This was a great waterfront cottage - spacious & comfortable with terrific views. The ocean breeze was so nice we never turned on the AC. As a cook, I found the kitchen to be extremely well equipped for cooking true meals - which was nice with the COVID restaurant restrictions still in place. John and Roz were friendly and helpful hosts and answered any and all questions promptly. It was a perfect place for my husband and I and our two adult sons to relax and enjoy our time together.
