My husband and I have stayed at Papakea a few times and absolutely love every experience.This condo was immaculate. Clean, well taken care of and well stocked. They had a pack n play, a booster seat, swim towels, extra sunscreen, pool/beach items. We had a slight hiccup with the A/C, but the hosts were incredibly responsive and kept us updated every step of the way. I would absolutely rent from them again!
Papakea never fails to be perfect and this
unit is the perfect place to stay. Just as advertised and the owners communicate quickly. Easy walk to the markets so many awesome places to eat.
For those looking to stay in Kaanapali but looking for a budget friendly condo, this is the place. Conveniently located on Lower Rd, across the street from the Times grocery story and a couple buildings away from Honua Kai, Papakea H401 has everything you need. Comfortable beds, AC, an updated and well appointed kitchen. The loft area has three beds, so plenty of room for the kids. There are even beach chairs, umbrella, cooler, and boogie boards for the beach. The owners are magnificent to work with. Jill and Terry are easy to reach if anything needs their attention. We highly recommend.
What an absolute delight! The place was beautiful and was perfect for all 6 of us (grandparents, parents and children ages 9, 11). The resort was quiet and beautiful, and the unit comfortable and well-stocked. Communication was great throughout and the check-in/check-out process was seamless. There were plenty of extras like beach equipment and cooking supplies. The air conditioning was a plus and definitely needed after a long day at the beach. We would highly recommend this unit and hope to be back!
The water is even closer than the pictures show! A nice resort with nice amenities that did not feel crowded. Two pools and plenty of loungers on the grass. Shuffle board right by the pool. There are six BBQs by each pool so never a wait if needed. If you are all about the beach, there is one that you can access next door at the Kaanapali Shore via a little bridge.
The description of the unit was great. It was perfect for our family of 5. It was in a great location and the resort itself was nice.
Would have been better for us to stay where the surf was not so rough next time will stay where there is a beach
The condo was as advertised. Updated and nice being on the top floor. The owners communicated very well and even offered to let us check out late.
Amazing stay while on island! This property was close to all the great offerings of NW Maui. 10 mins from nightlife and shopping and 5-10 mins from all the best snorkeling you can handle! Property was exactly how it was described and the owners were great to work with! Thank you for a great vacation! Mahalo!
My wife and two daughters recently stayed in this unit for a week in January. Communication with Jill and Terry were excellent, the unit was clean and well stocked, and the view from the lanai was nice. We love the top floor units with the loft bedrooms, and we enjoyed how this unit had 3 beds up there.
With the orientation of the building and this unit being a corner unit, it didn't seem to get very hot in the afternoon sun. We enjoyed many meals on the lanai, and would not hesitate to book again in the future.

This is a great place to stay in Maui. The condo is clean and has all the essentials. Plus we really enjoyed the ocean view sunsets from the lanai. Walking distance to a few good dining options and a grocery store, the development is well maintained and has nice facilities like pool, tennis, and putting greens that we didnât even have time to enjoy. Close drive to some of my favorite beaches and lots of great shopping in Kaanapali and Lahaina.
