This is a beautiful house in a fantastic location with access to a beach just across the street. The views of the beach and ocean from the front and side decks are fantastic. We spent hours on the deck watching and listening to the waves on the beach below. There is also a good place to the right of the beach to snorkel. Just wished we could have extended our stay. The house is well stocked with linens, towels, dishes, beach gear, barbecue grill, etc. You name it, it was there. A couple of nearby grocery stores have evrrything you need. The listing is 100% accurate, but there is no way to describe the peacefulness of this location. And the owner was easy to contact and always helpful. This was the perfect VRBO experience. Mahalo to the owner/host for making this house available.

This house was perfect in every way! Private and secluded with comfortable beds, AC in rooms, outdoor showers, views for days (perfect for sunset) and the kitchen had everything we needed and seconds away from Pebble Beach. This was the perfect property for me, my wife, and 11 year-old son. Everything was provided for in the home and made our brief stay immensely relaxing and enjoyable. Gregg--the owner--was incredibly thoughtful and generously provided personalized information and guidance to make our stay completely stress-free.We were saddened to have to leave after our short, 3-day stay. We had a wonderful time exploring the coast with this as our home base! Home was beautiful inside and out with many thoughtful touches throughout. View was incredible and great snorkeling right in pebble beach. Excellent communication! Definitely recommend staying here!
We loved our stay and the location of this beach home. Friendly owner has built a beautiful place to spend your time in Hawaii. Very Clean, modern and well equipped kitchen including spices and other incidentals needed for cooking. The lanai is the most ideal spot to relax and enjoy the view. One of our favorites of the many places we have ever stayed. We will be back!!!
This was our second stay at this wonderful place. Gregg is a fabulous host and has thought of everything. The house has everything you need to be comfortable. We especially loved watching the sunset from the deck.

Our family really enjoyed our stay at this fabulous home. Check in was easy. House was spotless. Kitchen was well stocked. Loved spending evenings on the lanai. We watched whales from the beach directly across from the house. Enjoyed the cool tropical breezes at night. We would gladly stay here again.

The home was gorgeous. We loved everything about it -- the decor was inspiring, the beds excellent, the kitchen color and layout we plan to steal, and all those screened doors made even warm days awesomely comfortable. I honestly wish we'd planned a less jam-packet itinerary so we could have spent afternoons napping on the patio, listening to the surf and the birds. I'm getting nostalgic just thinking about it. If we're ever to return to the Big Island, availability here will be the first thing we check. We adored staying here!

Gorgeous ocean-view house with perfect layout for two couples or a family with kids. Even more stunning in person than in the photos. Located in a peaceful, out of the way neighborhood right across from the ocean. We loved sitting on the lanai every morning with a cup of coffee and watching the waves, listening to the birds, and spotting seals popping their heads out of the water. The waves crashing at night were the perfect white noise to fall asleep to. The house was spotless and stocked with everything you could possibly need - especially appreciated the travel cooler, kitchen tools and towels. Mini Split AC units in the bedrooms if you need them. Great communication from the host, Gregg. The house is located at the bottom of a steep, winding road. We had no trouble navigating it in our rented SUV, but you'll want to consolidate sightseeing and shopping trips to avoid driving up and down multiple times per day. Once you get to the house, you won't want to leave anyway. Located about 45 min south of Kailua-Kona and 25 min south of Captain Cook (nearest neighborhood with grocery and restaurants). Do stock up on groceries on your way to the house. The Choice Mart in Captain Cook was well-stocked, but plenty of options in Kona too. Stop at the South Kona Fruit stand for fresh fruit and baked goods. Nearby restaurants close early, so plan ahead. Recommended activities: Volcano Nat'l Park, Mauna Kea summit & star tour, sea turtles at Punaluʻu Beach, and coffee tours.
We were just at this property 9 months ago and my teenage boys picked it to come back to over any other vacation choice. They just wanted to hang out near the water and enjoy the house and neighborhood.
a true gem of a place. A little off the beaten path as it’s 45 minutes from Coney Airport, but well worth it. Your own private beach access, quiet neighborhood, great house with all the amenities you need. Greg is very knowledgeable about the island and super responsive. We will certainly be back.
Perfect stay at the lovely home near Pebble Beach. The house is lovely and the furnishings, dishes and linens are so much nicer than other rentals I have stayed in through the years. It was a beautiful trip. We enjoyed having our bedroom in a detached space which gave our college aged kids privacy in the main house. Perfect for traveling with adult children.
Gregg’s house is truly lovely. If one is looking for quiet, peace and want to get away from it all, this is the place to be. We appreciated all the amenities we found there…paper products, soaps, an abundance of beach towels, beach chairs and so many other items too numerous to mention. Kitchen is great, everything so clean. And Gregg so quick to respond to any questions. Hope to be back.

Such a beautiful, well-maintained home! We all fell in love right away. Very close to the black pebble beach and a trail which we walked or jogged every day. Super quiet. Beautiful stars. Amazing decks. Comfy and cute house. Well-stocked kitchen.
Road to the house is STEEP! Nothing to worry about but def know how to downshift your car before you go. Location is a little more remote but we didn't find that to be a problem and actually felt we could find restaurants and other amenities easier than we expected.

This was one of the best rentals we have stayed in on Hawaii (or anywhere for that matter). You can tell it is a well loved home, it has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Gregg has a ton of insight and suggestions of things to do/see in the area. We loved the view from the lanai, exploring all of the local snokel spots and the delicious smoothies and baked goods from the South Kona fruit stand (about 15 minutes north). We hope to return! Thanks for a great visit.
This home was so nice and very comfortable. It had so many extras like beach towels, snorkeling gear, spices, and so many comforts. It's such a beautiful home in a beautiful setting. Host made himself very accessible and provided great information in the area.

Very clean and great location for watching the sunset. The deck is lovely and outdoor shower was a nice choice to have. Main area can get a bit warm if you're unable to leave windows open while you're out as there is no a/c in this area. Bedrooms do have a/c. If we ever get back to Hawaii we would definitely stay here again!

Loved this property. Had a great view. Very comfortable beds and lanai furniture. Lovely outdoor shower outside the master bedroom. And a nice kitchen and grill for cooking in.

Superb in every possible way. The master bedroom is heaven.
Location is perfect to access the west coast as well as offering an amazing scenic drive to Volcano NP.
One day, we drove around the entire island.
The house is well equipped with everything you need to cook on the kitchen as well as chairs, umbrellas, and snorkeling gear to use on the beach that is an easy walk from the driveway.
We will be back and def rent this house again.
