Great Views, could use a few upgrades. Maybe A/CBut for the price, it was worth it! We would stay there again!
The view is beautiful. The place was very uncleaned. I went and bought and Clorox wipe and wiped thing down. The microwave was gross. Looks like eggs was exploded in it. No bathroom amenity except towels. Silverware, pot pans, dishes…you name it, it was food, residue on it and dirty! We have to watch everything before we use it. It is very different than our rentals in the past! I feel like this is a timeshare condo and when people come over, they didn’t take good care of it. They just left it.We didn’t take any photos. We did take a video when you check out.
Location was absolutely PERFECT! Loved having the view from the balcony and that Queens Bath was only a short 5 minute drive away. What I didn’t love was that the space was quite dirty. Sheets and towels were clean but the floors were messy, dishes in the cabinets were put away dirty, windows haven’t been cleaned in quite some time, and the primary shower had quite a bit of mold and hair. Secondly, there was some random miscommunication with VRBO and the host so she thought we hadn’t showed up due to the “tsunami.” She came in without any notice while we were not there. A heads up message on VRBO would have been nice. It made us feel a tad violated only because we had left things like cash, laptops, and passports laying out. Lastly, I fully knew that there was no AC….. what I didn’t realize is how hot and muggy it was going to be our entire stay. We had to have 6 fans running on high speed (super gunked up with dust) and both exterior doors open. A portable window unit would have made all the difference and hopefully (if the owner decides not to sell) they would consider having one installed for future guests.
My husband & I had an amazing stay at Sherry's condo, as always.We've stayed here several times in the past years, as we love Princeville & Ali I Kai condos. Sherry is very responsive, sweet, and very accommodating. We locked ourselves out and when I contacted Sherry, she responded and immediately got us back into the condo. Mahalo, Sherry!The breathtaking ocean views from the lanai, and both bedrooms, were so nice to wake up to. We’d sit on the lanai every evening, after spending the whole day at the gorgeous beaches in Kauai. I love that there’s a washer and dryer also in the condo. We love coming back to Kauai, nearly once or twice a year. We’d rotate visiting other islands, but our favorite is Kauai.Tunnels beach, my all-time favorite beach, is 1/2 an hour from Sherry’s condo, and we’d go there nearly every day. Parking is extremely hard to find at Tunnels Beach, but it’s so worth it, to be there. We’d try to get there around 8am, to find a parking spot.Foodland is 5 minutes away and they have the best poke there. And there are also other stores in that Princeville Center, like shave ice, Lappert’s Ice cream, etc. Hanalei is approximately 15 minutes away. The view is great, the place meet all of our needs. The place is dated, specifically the kitchen. It’s nothing fancy but for the price it was fine. The place could be cleaner but it was terrible.
We loved staying in this unit. We woke up every morning and watched the whales. We would definitely stay here again.
We really enjoyed our stay at this condo. It was so quiet and peaceful. A great location with very well maintained grounds. The views from every window are amazing. We will definitely stay here again.

This older condo was offered at a reasonable rate. It does have some updates and some older aspects, but overall a clean and reasonably nice place. Sitting on the deck and watching the wave roll in; or looking for whales was the BEST! We did see afew whales one morning!

A million dollar view of the ocean. The rental unit could use a deep cleaning (ex: ceiling fans, windows). The stove and refrigerator was in poor conditions.
The worse experience of my Vrbo rentals thus far.The communication with oroperty manager was horrible. I sent messages daily and she responded one time. The rental was dirty, there is a need for maintenance repairs and it is very dated. I can deal with something outdated but not dirty. I need an email to use to send myvarotecup and pictures of things to address. Sherry Brewer has not responded to my messages. I will be requestiing a artisl tebate forall the vleaning we did and staying in acplace with leaking shower and crackex tpiket seat.Thank youCarol

Listening to waves all night was amazing
Location of house was in a beautiful well kept community. My reason for the low rating was because you are being charged so much money for cleaning fee and the house was very DIRTY! I can go on and list everything that has I’m not one to be picky where I stay but I really felt uncomfortable and had to make the best of it.
The is view worth the price of admission! Whether sitting on the lanai or lounging in the bedrooms, you’ll have an incredible view. There is a grocery store around the corner so you can stock up for the stay. We used the condo as a jumping off point for the whole island. I highly recommend!
The Banyan building unit was very spacious. Overlooked the really nicely appointed pool. Could hear the ocean waves breaking against the sea wall across the street.
The only complaint is that there is not any air conditioning. The room is very warm if it is warm outside. But, the ceiling fans help and with more upright fans the temp was tolerable.
I should’ve read the reviews more carefully when booking this place. Trying to sleep with no air conditioning after baking in the sun all day wasn’t pleasant. The property does have several fans, all of which my wife and I positioned around the bed we slept in. Bed was comfortable. The kitchen has about everything you need bust my wife and I mostly ate out. Having beach chairs and boogie boards available was nice. Ample parking near the property but very limited parking at Queens Bath and the other nearby beach and this property location was too far of a walk. Reasonable price if you don’t mind the heat.
We arrived late at night and went straight to bed. We awoke to a SPECTACULAR VIEW from our second floor bedroom that seemed more like a painting than reality. It was a beautiful, unobstructed view of the ocean and lush landscape. We spent hours on the lanai reading, drinking coffee, and relaxing because the area around the condo was very peaceful. The condo is in Princeville, a safe and quiet community with a shopping center that has a grocery store, shops, restaurants, gas station, etc. It is a short drive to Hanalei, one of our favorite places on the island. One of the best parts of our experience was the responsiveness and kindness of the host, Sherry. She promptly returned all messages and answered questions. After we left, we realized we left a few things, including a set of car keys, in the condo. She quickly went to the condo, retrieved the keys, and placed them in the mail. She did not let us pay for the postage. That was very kind. Thank you, Sherry.
Positives: View of the ocean from condo was spectacular. Location close to pool was great. Living area was adequate. Had ceiling and stand alone fans throughout. Negatives: No air conditioning. Bottom of bath tub had rust area. Rust around faucet handles in master bathroom. Door to condo would slam if not held to close.
Rented unit 7202, it was my first and last time renting thru VRBO.
First of all, I live on a neighboring island, and I have I do condo cleaning part time. With that said, I know when a unit is clean just by the smell.
When I opened the door my heart sank. Everywhere I looked was dirty. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Checked the beds, and the linens had hair on them, drool on pillow cases, and smelled dirty. Anyone can tell when sheets are washed and when they smell like someone has slept in them. That was just the beginning of the grossness we had to deal with.
The bathrooms were disgusting. Toilet seats were gross, and the master bathroom one had poop smeared on the bottom. The sink had hair stuck on the faucet and the sink from shaving. The shower had hair all over and moldy looking spots all over. Everything was sticky, and I went into cleaning mode because the owner wasn't answering the phone. I wanted to start cleaning, except their really weren't many cleaning supplies in the unit. We had to go to Foodland in princeville to buy cleaning supplies. My friend and I both cleaned for almost 3 hours that night. It was after 10 p.m., and we were still cleaning. The owner finally called me back and said she personally cleaned the unit for 2 days straight. I told her it was obviously not true. She lied and lied and even screamed at me. We had to wash everything because we felt so grossed out. The next day, the owner called me again when we were out on a drive, tryin

The following were all dirty and/or moldy:
- Pillow cases and pillows had black mold on them (bed and couch pillows)
- Towels in each bathroom were dirty, not even close to clean
- Toilets were disgusting
- Overall bathrooms were dirty
- SHeets and towels covering furniture in the living room
- Entire unit smelt of mold right when we walked in
Ended taking pictures and videos, leaving the unit immediately, contacted the owner, filed a claim/complaint with VRBO and fought to get our money back. We lost two days of our trip dealing with this situation and spent money on hotels until we could find another Condo to rent in Kapaa.
We rent via VRBO all the time and glad they were able to refund our money after such a terrible experience.
DO NOT RENT this unit, the owner was just as awful to deal with as the inconveniences of the entire situation.
Beautiful oceanfront view(saw tons of whales) great location, roomy, perfect for 3 people. Kitchen is very tight for more than one person at a time.. we had to wash all dishes before use(very dirty) and there were crumbs in all the drawers, other than that, things were pretty clean. The pool is freezing cold(unheated) and there's no hot tub. Close to a food store and small village- tons of beautiful beaches really close by.
