    The accommodations were very comfortable with pretty much everything we needed almost like being home. Everything was good other than owners of another unit that were very rude, confrontational and abusive with foul language to my daughter & her husband in the parking structure over where they parked which wasn’t even their space. According to staff we talked with this couple is well known for this kind of behavior and I believe the condo board they said are forcing them out. Perfect stay other than them.

    The property is good, and the views are great. Our low rating is due to the Remote Property Manager (RPM) Katie, located in the Midwest. The listing says locally managed, but the on-site person only deals with housekeeping. RPM Katie seems inexperienced or incompetent. Our trip was almost ruined by how often RPM Katie did not give us 24 hours’ notice before people entered the condo, even though they were not emergencies. First, the owner walked in unannounced and seemed surprised we were there. The next day, RPM Katie requested access to the condo for the owner, who came later that day. Days later, at 9 am, a Lahaina contractor arrived to install blinds in a bedroom with no prior notice at all. After the contractor was already here, RPM Katie called requesting access for them, which we were completely unprepared for. Unsecured personal items, money, clothing were all laying out. We declined and RPM Katie still gave the installer approval to continue. When we didn’t let him in the room, she charged us a $250 contractor rescheduling fee. We disputed the charge with VRBO and won. Our recommendation after having to change plans and spend hours dealing with the poor communication, inexperience or incompetence of the RPM Katie, is to look for rental properties that are truly locally managed. BTW, VRBO limits reviews to 1500 characters. You can find our complete detailed review with an internet search.

    Maui is our favorite place. 2113 was a great home for our family this trip. It had a beautiful view and came with everything we needed during our stay. The trips always go by so fast but we can’t wait to be back. Thanks again for opening up your lovely home!

    This was our fifth stay at the Alii and first in this unit. We absolutely loved it and would hope to stay here again! Beautiful views, friendly staff, and spacious unit for our family. Only feedback which are easy fixes would be more coffee cups and forks and spoons! Still a 5 star rating! 😀
