About South Maui

The Kealia Resort is convenient! Only a 15 minute drive from the airport, easy access to Lahaina and Wailea. The resorts of North Kihei (Kealia, Sugar Beach, etc) are quieter and less traffic congested than the hustle and bustle of South Kihei or Ka'anapail. Stay out of the tourist traps!

David made it easy! Thorough instructions before I arrived, he offered restaurant suggestions and a few things to do while we visited Maui. The condo itself was clean and the view from the lanai was perfect! Direct access to the beach from the property was also great.

You cannot beat the location of this property! Every morning watching the sunrise while walking down the beach or doing some yoga in the sand was absolutely breathtaking. The break one needs from reality and work is at this property. Since we are vegan, finding food can be hit or miss, but having the ability to make all our meals and eat them on the lanai or on the beach front was perfect. Our only downfall, and this is even silly to say, was the crashing of the waves was so loud, it sounded like cars racing by on the 101 and woke us up quite a bit. But honestly, worth the wake up, because every time we woke up we saw the moon glimmering off the ocean waves and so many stars! David, the host, was so responsive and the on-site manager, sherry, was so kind and helpful. We’ll definitely be back and want to stay here again!

Everything was absolutely perfect for the 9 days we stayed in Kihei! David’s property was exactly what we were looking for when we done our search of somewhere special to stay for our honeymoon! The view from the balcony was the sweetest! It’s perfect for early morning coffee and to catch a perfect sunset every evening! You are right on the beach! Literally just a few steps! We loved that feature! David’s condo is exactly what the site states! We had everything we needed for the trip! After exploring the entire island for our stay, we recommend to anyone to stay in Kihei! It’s a really good middle location for many things! The condo was very clean upon arrival. The bed was as comfy as other reviews stated. There are 2 air conditioners. One in the living area and one in the bed room. For me I thought having an air conditioner was a deal breaker if a unit did not have one. We ended up turning the air conditioner on one time the day we arrived in the living area. Being from Mississippi we have to have our air because it’s miserably hot at times. But the wind breeze is so nice and keeps everything at a comfortable temp that you really don’t need the air conditioner as much as you think! We did use the air conditioner in our room at night. (You certainly could make it without it). David is very kind and accommodating to all needs. He is very very prompt to respond if you reach out to him for anything! We were able to snorkel right on our beach and saw several BIG sea turtles right at our condo!! That could of been one of the happiest memories for us! We didn’t expect to see any! One probably weighed 300-400 pounds! It was incredible! We thought for sure we would have to pay for an excursion to see exactly what we saw at our place! So I recommend trying snorkeling there before you pay for anything! I highly recommend to stay with David! You will not be disappointed!

Good location . Close to all shops and restaurants .Nice and clean . Full Kitchen and amenities. Good for single family . Bring the eyes mask if you’re not an early morning person. The slide door and screen door need to fix it or make it easy to close because it is off the rail when you try to close it all the time. We will stay with David condo again.
