"Twin Hearts", a Kauai North Shore vacation rental homestay cottage, is a wonderful private one bedroom, one bath handcrafted rental accommodation located at the ocean end of our 7.6 acre Kauai North Shore estate and farm parcel. The handcrafted cottage features tons of privacy and a sweet hot tub, as well as close beach proximity, a scenic walk away. Kaihili-Quarry Beach is secluded and world-class.

Because many guests have found difficulty arranging a rental car (the BEST way to explore Kauai) at reasonable rates, we have 2 fun cars (one sedan, one SUV) which we make available to our guests. If this possibility sounds of interest please inquire, after you make your booking.

The travel accommodation industry has been dramatically changed. The COVID-19 pandemic, while abetting, has placed a greater importance on safety. At Twin Hearts, we understand this change. Vacation rentals are now the safest and most secure way to enjoy a Kauai vacation. We understand the importance or providing an alternative to crowded hotels or the risks of dining in jam packed restaurants. What better way to travel safely than renting your very own cottage on acreage!

Our guests, many of them repeat visitors, adore the cottage and leave us stellar reviews.

Our organic ethic precludes us from spraying any toxic pesticides, and while we deal topically and organically with any of the many pests that enjoy living in the sub-tropics, you must be prepared to possible encounter the occasional ants, or geckos, or even a cockroach or two. If that is bothersome, you may be better off renting at a different property that utilized toxic pesticides.

This private cottage, which is fully screened, is an exquisite, architecturally interesting, sustainable redwood home with lots of special features and privacy, about 250 feet (and lots of hedges and trees) from our home.

The cottage is accessed via a completely private 250 foot long rolled gravel driveway from the paved cul-de-sac road.

The cottage is comfortably and tastefully furnished, island style, with a hand-carved king sized poster bed with soft cotton sheets in the bedroom, a lovely living room with comfortable new queen sofa bed, a tiled bathroom, and a full-on entertainment center with cable TV, DVD, and CD stereo. Furniture and furnishings are oriental and island-style, with some antiques and original art.

We really enjoyed our stay at Bruce’s farm! Photos don’t do it justice. We loved being situated in Kilauea for all of our activities. Bruce was a helpful and communicative host. Would definitely return!

Bruce has done an amazing job of creating an oasis on the farm. Twin Hearts is tucked away and feels surprisingly private. The setting, the location, the whole vibe makes for a wonderful stay!

Amazing little place that gives the feeling of being secluded in tropical garden yet is close to many activities. Short walk to local beach for those days you want to take it easy and stay close to home. Easy access to Princeville and beaches on the north shore. Host is very welcoming and has a wealth of knowledge about the island.

Thank you Bruce and Cyndee for allowing us to stay for a week at your rental cottage. We felt right at home once we arrived on your beautiful property. Our stay in the Kilauea area was ideal and convenient as we visited with many family members and friends throughout Kauai. Much appreciation for your wonderful hospitality! With Warmest Mahalo, Val and Dennis

My husband, infant son and myself booked a last minute trip to the island and were lucky enough to swoop up an opening on Bruce and Cyndee’s calendar. Communication was great, and Bruce offered us a rental which was perfect for our stay (and a hot commodity given rates and availability on Kauai). He also personally shuttled us to and from Lihue for a fee which was both informative and convenient. The property is gorgeous as many have stated. Thoughtfully done, and matches the overall vibe of the island with proper amenities to boot. In the home, we enjoyed the gecko visitors and were definitely loved by the bugs (but that was all expected for the climate). We do appreciate the low-toxic grounds! It is a short distance to markets and restaurants, and a little drive to more touristy spots. The beach/lagoon down the street was perfect for us. Bruce had a ton of other great recommendations too. The space was overall excellent and worked well for our small family. Anyone lucky enough to stay at the cottage will love the local feel and aesthetic. Highly recommend.

The geckos were amazing. Also, very relaxing. Enjoyed the stay, and I would stay there again. Trees and yard is gorgeous.

This is a wonderful property for a couple or small family. We were surrounded by natural beauty - trees, flowers, wildlife… there is an amazing beach with a neat little lagoon just a 15 minute walk or 3 minute drive away. It’s super close to a lot of cool things on the North side of the island (hiking, beaches, dining, shopping, even a national wildlife refuge). I’m glad we finally got to visit, and when we do visit again I will be checking this property first. Mahalo!
