Welcome to the Honua Kai Resort and Spa, Maui's newest luxury beach-front resort. Located in West Maui, North Ka'anapali Beach has been voted one of the top 10 of beaches in the world. This complex is simply amazing and comprises 43 acres of manicured tropical landscaping. The Honua Kai has open air lobbies with ocean views, a fitness center with state of the art equipment, the infinity pool with cabanas, aqua loungers and hot tubs, lazy river, a kids area pool with sand bottom, a grotto, and a water slide, all overlooking the backdrop of the Ocean.

Many travelers have commented that the inner courtyard suites, while beautiful, have lanais that face each other, are close together, and generally they feel that privacy is somewhat lacking. Our suite is in the newer Konea tower on the quiet side overlooking the Ocean and tranquil Honoapi'ilani Park which provides privacy while still maintaining the partial Ocean Views! The view picture from our lanai is accurate, we did not use a zoom lens.
Ho'ola Spa is now open in our Konea tower. From Massage & many treatments to the Himalayan Salt Spa room it has it all. The state-of-the-art gym is also located in the Konea Tower.
The suite is the extra-large 780 sq. ft. unit with a tub, separate shower, and double sinks in the bathroom. It features Partial Ocean Views from the 140 sq. ft. lanai. This is "turn-key" with a gourmet kitchen with every utensil supplied and featuring Bosch stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. The large master bedroom has a king-size bed plus an HD TV, a huge ensuite bath with a separate shower and tub and his and hers sinks. The living room has a queen-size pull-out couch, Large 4K flat-screen HD TV, and a dining room area.
Looking for the ultimate in scenery and relaxation? The Honua Kai has it all. Walk or jog the boardwalk to Whaler's Village or snorkel at Black Rock. Relax by the pool or pop into Duke's Beach House for happy hour or dinner. Shopping is nearby & there is the Aina Gourmet Market located in the Hokulani lobby. There is also the Whalers Store in the Konea lobby for convenience.

The resort was great. Easy check in. The Owner happened to be on site & super responsive. The location couldn't have been better for our stay. Duke's is a favorite of ours & onsite. The view was beautiful. Super easy - free parking. Very easy access to the pools. The unit was very peaceful and quiet. They had beach chairs, umbrellas and toys too use.
The only thing Id say is the couch was hard (sofa bed.)
Maui was wonderful to us. @MauiStrong!

Walked into a very dirty grimy kitchen! ALL kitchen cupboards and handles were dirty and sticky! Hadn’t been properly cleaned in a long time! Fridge dirty, stove dirty, floors had big dirt spots on them so you could clearly see the unit hasn’t been cleaned properly AT ALL! We complained to owners and they had another cleaner come in and we asked specifically to concentrate on cleaning the kitchen. To our disappointment the cupboards, handles, fridge etc hadn’t been touched so we spent a whole day on vacation cleaning. Their other units were booked so we asked them to move us to a clean unit but got no response. They only suggested another cleaner come in and try again or do our laundry? We received no money back and still paid for cleaning fee ( they never offered to take money off for disappointment and inconvenience of their condo) We love Honua Kai, have stayed here before and units have always been clean, great owners/management company to deal with etc. These owners own a few condos and have lost the personal touches that matter to people when it comes to having a great vacation.

This is a great 1-bedroom condo. Very quiet location with a partial view of the ocean. The owners are outstanding communicators throughout the booking/stay process. We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation.

Honua Kai was a great property for our family (mom, dad, 5yr old, and 7yr old). The pools, beach, bbq's, Dukes, and nearby shave ice were all we needed. The condo had everything we needed and more (life jacket and floatie for the kids). The bed was super comfortable and the pullout couch was perfect for the kids. We will definitely be back!

Honua Kai was a great property for our family (mom, dad, 5yr old, and 7yr old). The pools, beach, bbq's, Dukes, and nearby shave ice were all we needed. The condo had everything we needed and more (life jacket and floatie for the kids). The bed was super comfortable and the pullout couch was perfect for the kids. We will definitely be back!

We enjoyed the sunsets over the ocean visible from the lanai and the many pools and waterfalls at the resort. The accommodations were modern, clean and comfortable and the pool/beach towels were easy to get from the automatic dispensers (activated by waterproof, electronic wrist band available in different sizes after checkin). This unit is on the quiet side with views of gardens and monkey pod and palm trees in addition to the ocean. Our unit included beach chairs, umbrella and cooler. Communication with owners was great when needed. We would stay here again.

It’s a great condo with a nice corner view of the ocean. We ate all meals on the lanai. The kitchen is well stocked with equipment. I loved the small touches like a drying rack, liquid hand soap in the kitchen & bathroom, bin for shoes & laundry basket. All appliances were working well. Jill and Terry are accessible and easy to contact. Great time in Maui… thanks!!
