Hula Moon Villa is a beautiful property located in Waikoloa at Kolea. The deck had a great view and inside the Condo was spectacular. The kitchen was well equipped, the bedrooms were very comfortable. This is our second stay at Hula Moon! Our host was easy to reach and always helpful.Kolea is an incredible property with a beautiful pool.It is a short walk to A Bay and to the Marriot.
Condo is great. Clean and spacious. Had everything we needed. Could use more comfortable seating in living area, but would totally stay there again. Beds were comfy. Ate on the lanai daily. Location amazing.
Beautiful condo in a beautiful property. We had a great time and this condo made it even better with 2 bedrooms and 2 big bathrooms. Easy access to beach, shopping, and restaurants. The pool area was great too. We loved the view of the ocean from lanai too.
We had a fantastic stay at Hula Moon! The unit was super close to the pool and the beach. Shops and restaurants were within walking distance. The unit was spacious, spotless and well maintained. The owner and onsite management group were very responsive. Highly recommend!
We had a wonderful time at this luxurious condo. It has everything you could possibly need (including top-of-the-line kitchen appliances, very comfortable beds, a washer/dryer, paper products/laundry supplies/condiments & spices, and many other conveniences). The condo decor is lovely, with lots of hardwood (mahogany?) and elegant tile throughout. We appreciated the beautiful artwork and other decor elements. We loved the expansive lanai, which gave us a beautiful sunset view as well as a view of A-Bay. The location is perfect (within walking distance of the Queens' Marketplace and Kings Shops, a few minutes' walk to the pool, and a 5-minute walk to A-Bay). The pool area is wonderful with an infinity pool and hot tub. It never felt crowded, and there were plenty of poolside chairs. We had a fantastic time and hope to return!
This property was great and just as advertised. It was very comfortable for my family which included my husband and I and our 11 year old twins. It was beautiful, spacious, clean and had everything you might need for a wonderful stay. They even had beach chairs, umbrella, coolers and boogie boards. We especially loved sliding the doors to the lanai wide open and enjoying the ocean breeze while we grilled our marlin steaks. It was quiet and in a lovely location just steps from the pool and beach. There is also a market very close by for groceries along with restaurants and shops. The owner was so helpful and responsive to anything we needed. We were very sad to leave and will definitely come back. Don’t hesitate to stay here. You will love it!
We had a great stay at the Hula Moon property. The condo was very clean, convenient, and had everything we needed. The Lania was quiet, private, and a wonderful place to eat dinner and enjoy the evenings. The boogie boards, beach chairs, beach towels, Snorkel gear, and cooler made our daily trips to the beach easy and fun. We loved our vacation in Waikoloa, and can’t wait to return!
I wish I could give it more than 5 stars. The property was amazing. The condo was fully furnished with a fully stocked kitchen, including a very nice blender and air fryer. There was so much attention to detail - from the comfortable beds, nice pillows, amazing lanai, down to the plush toilet paper. The pool was very nice with adequate lounge chairs and easy access to the beach. There were coolers, snorkel gear, chairs and umbrellas in the garage storage. I would absolutely stay there again. Not a single complaint or suggestion for improvement.
Excellent. Easy. Great location. Pedestrian friendly. Groceries and restaurants within walking distance. Great waterfront public path.Only issue was someone nearby kept smoking cigars and the odor blew into the unit. This unit is non smoking I don’t know whether the entire development is. The air is so clean here one bad apple really screws it up for everyone.Not the host’s fault obviously..
We loved the condo and all its amenities and the location was perfect for walking to lots of restaurants,shopping and A bay! Spent lots of time off the lanai listening to the birds and enjoying the morning. View of the beach.
Beautiful, spacious 2-bedroom condo steps from the pool and beach was perfect for our little family! They had beach toys, beach chairs, a cooler, boogie boards, snorkel gear, an umbrella-everything we needed :) The kids loved the pools and hot tub and there were sea turtles everyday swimming by the beach. We will definitely be back!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Hula Moon Villa! We have stayed at the Marriott next to Kolea previously, but staying here was so much more relaxing and enjoyable. The Kolea complex is beautiful, quiet and perfectly located. The condo itself was very clean and came with everything that we would need. We particularly liked having beach chairs and umbrellas as we have had to buy those in the past. We loved walking to the shops and to dinner nightly. Communication with the owner was prompt. We loved every minute, and will be back next year!
This is a lovely, clean, modern, comfortable condo that is only 5 minutes to the swimming pool and another 5 minutes to a white sand beach (rare on the Kona side of the island). Even the sprawling Hilton to the north of the condo development does not have a nice beach like this one. You'll have a great time here!P.S. When you look for the hideakey, note that the lockbox is on the 3rd floor where the unit is.
We had an incredible weeklong stay at the Hula Moon Villa. The check-in process was incredibly easy, the condo is immaculately maintained, beds are super comfortable, and the owners have provided all the amenities you could need! The kitchen is well stocked, beach towels are provided, and all kinds of beach equipment is available for use, including chairs, umbrellas, snorkeling equipment, etc.
The location is also fantastic. So much is within walking distance - < 5 min walk to incredible A-bay beach, 5 min walk to the Marriott, 7 min walk down the beach to Lava Lava Beach club. The Hilton, Kings' Shops, and Queens' Marketplace are all between 10 - 15 mins walking. So convenient!
Highly recommend this property and would definitely stay here again.

We had a great time and were lucky to find Hula Moon at Kolea! This is the best place to stay on Big Island if you want a relaxed vacation . The villa has everything you need for longer stay , very spatial and comfortable. The Kolea itself is a gem with very nice landscaping, pool, hot tub and a relaxing vibe. It is only a few steps from the beach and restaurants. We have been many times to Big Island and stayed in Mariott, Hilton, and other villas in the area. Hands down, Kolea is the best deal you can possibly get!
From the moment we drove through the gate, to checking into the amazing condo. We were so in awe with the views, the scenery, the amenities, the 5 minute walk to A Bay. My family and I are and will stay at Hula Moon time and time again.
The property owner was great with communication, and very kind to compile a list of activities and asked the age of my children to be more specific. The location was walking distance to many activities we enjoyed. I will definitely look at this condo when coming back to the Big Island. Very enjoyable vacation!
