The sunsets were amazing from this property. I truly enjoyed watching them every night. There were 13 family members staying at the house and there was plenty of room. Being my 60th birthday, my husband and I had the master bedroom. I thought it was fantastic, especially the lanai. Nancy was quick to respond with any questions. I would definitely recommend staying here.
My family had a wonderful stay here. The view was amazing, the pool was huge and the space was perfect for our needs. The main space is not air conditioned and it did get pretty warm during the day but it didn't really didn't have a big impact on my family. The bedrooms have ac. The boathouse was an awesome apartment for my grandson. The kitchen was well equipped and the grill was adequate.
This is our second time staying here. Love the property, the view and the master suite upstairs!The TV went out but they quickly replaced it. Problem with one AC unit in one room and had to stay in the room with the bunk beds, but the others worked fine! Owner is very quick to respond and very kind.
This property was perfect for our family vacation. 10 people stayed 9 nights at the house. The house, pool, hot tub, yard, and waterfront views was amazing, even better than we expected. We ate majority of our meals at the house as the views were better that any restaurant or any luaus. The house, pool, and yards are very well maintained. Everything was clean, well-organized, and easy to use. The house is in a great location. Several beaches & shopping nearby, but the location maintains privacy. The house can easily accommodate 14 people. It was perfect property for us and we would recommend this for a large group who wants to be water front with fantastic water views.
A little private slice of Hawaiian heaven! This home is perfect for a family looking to enjoy the island. Beautifully manicured property with a perfect pool to enjoy while enjoying the Hawaiian coast scenery. The house was stocked with all the essentials you need to enjoy your stay plus all beach supplies to venture out. There were even thoughtful children’s items for play, sleep, and pool safety & fun. It was a perfect stay and for our whole family to come together and we’re already discussing our next visit. Thank you!
First impression upon arrival - wow! What a beautiful home with the most beautiful view! We are every meal except for a few times we were adventuring on the patio overlooking the ocean. We slept every night with the windows open, enjoying the sound of the crashing waves. The pool was very enjoyable as well for kids and adults alike. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of room for our group of 11. The folks who stayed in the cottage area also said the fold out bed was comfortable and they loved having some privacy (and peace) from the chaos of the kids. The kitchen was well equipped and we enjoyed using the grill. We found the location of the home to be quite convenient for our many adventures. Nancy was a wonderful host and answered our many questions before we had even booked the property. Her communication never wavered and she was quick to respond to messages or texts. We cannot say enough wonderful things about this property! I hope we’re able to return in the future!
We had 13 people stay at this ocation ranging from a 3 year old to a 66 year ol. The house and cottage worked excellent for our group. The place was clean and tody and all amenities were in good shape. Obviously the pool got the most use from the kids. Location is great unless you want to be near the busy part of town, nice and quiet for us and there was easy access to the main roads when we wanted. Overall an outstanding stay in a great location. This home is exactly what the pictures show plus more. There was enough room for 9 of us to stay together for our parents 50th wedding anniversary. Nancy was very easy to work with. The sunsets are amazing every night.
We were a group of 13 ranging in age from 2-63. It accommodated every age. There were children’s dishes, toys and many pool toys. We had a member who was celiac so the extra guest house was perfect. She was able to keep that space gluten free and thus remain healthy. The location was perfect. We saw whales and beautiful sunsets. The deck and pool made a great place to wind down and touch base with the rest of the group. Definitely would stay here again if the opportunity presented. Nancy was very approachable and quick to respond when she was asked anything. Thank you for a 10/10 holiday.

Our family of 13, including an infant and 5 year old twins, had a great time over the Thanksgiving holiday. The property had plenty of room for all of us, and we had great time using the pool and watching spectacular sunsets each evening. The whales were just arriving from Alaska, and that was a unique experience.
Amazing Property in an Amazing Location!!! Worth every penny and the pictures on line only give a snap shot of the beauty of this property. From picture perfect sunsets to listening to waves crash on shore while we slept we were constantly in awe. Owners were so kind and provided great communication.
This property was everything that was listed and more! Upon deciding to bring our family to Hawaii in celebration of our 50th wedding anniversary, I started looking for a property that checked all the boxes and this was it! We were not disappointed. Our family ranged in age from 6 to 76 and there was something for everyone to enjoy. The property is very well maintained and the manager thinks of everything to make sure your stay is enjoyable. Nancy was a joy to work with from the time I booked the property, til the time we left the property. IF she was needed, she would respond promptly. Thanks Nancy for the use of your lovely home and for making our 50th a trip to remember.
This property was absolutely perfect for our family of 13. The location is spectacular overlooking the ocean. The house was extremely well equipped and had everything we needed. Our grandchildren especially enjoyed the pool. Nancy was a wonderful host promptly answering any questions we had. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay on our visit to Hawaii.
The views, location, the setting was as wonderful as one could expect and even more. It was a beautiful place for us to renew our vows. The grandchildren and of course the adults enjoyed the pool morning and night.
The bedrooms and the number of bathrooms were ample for all fourteen of us to be together for our ten day stay. The only drawback was that the living area was not air conditioned and while it may be adequate when there is a breeze blowing or perhaps at the time of year when the temperature is cooler, it was not always comfortable. No where in the listing did it mention that the living area was not air conditioned. For this reason we gave a three star rating for accuracy of listing.
Last but certainly not least Nancy, our host, bent over backwards to see to our needs, was very helpful and accessible. She was very kind and generous.

We were a family of 10 and we were not crowded at all. The grounds and pool were wonderful. The best pool we have had over previous rental locations. Nancy was very easy to communicate with quick responses to all questions. The house and ohana were very comfortable and well appointed. Close to beaches and shopping. Quiet neighborhood. Plenty of beach equipment available (SUP, kayak, snorkeling gear). Highly recommend this place.

Our stay was absolutely wonderful. The location of this property (ocean view and proximity to adventures) was incredible. The pool, patio, and ample yard were our favorite things about this house. We would explore in the morning and come hang and relax for the rest of the day. My family of 4 stayed in the cottage. It was like a second home and the hide-a-bed was the most comfortable I've ever slept on. If we return to the big island, we will 100% choose this house again! Thanks so much Nancy!
Three generations of family made the He'eia Bay House and Cottage our home base for a wonderful week on the Big Island. No matter where we all went during the day, we loved coming back to the most beautiful sunsets viewed from the patio (and from inside the pool!). The bedrooms and living spaces fit our needs perfectly and the host was very easy to work with. Highly recommend!
The check in process was very smooth and quick, Nancy was fast at responding to all of my questions. The house is located on a perfect piece of property that gives you the best views for sunsets with privacy. Our family really enjoyed the pool and hot tub at all times of the day. We were a group of 9, and there was still plenty of space available. This truly was the best property that we have stayed at in Kona. We can't wait to plan another vacation back.
The house and grounds were wonderful. Perfect for our family of all ages. We contacted the host for any issues and they were very responsive and helpful. Great quiet neighborhood with a short walk to a fun rocky beach for exploring. The pool and view were the real highlight! We hope to be back again!
Everything about our two week stay was great. The house, ocean view, lots of supplies, pool toys for the kids, close proximity to grocery store and a private setting were all perfect for 3 generations to enjoy. This place is really incredible! Even more beautiful and relaxing than the pictures convey. It was truly a perfect spot — serene, beautiful, well-maintained and spacious. We stayed at the property for a week on a family vacation with 12 people, including 7 children ages 5-12. There was ample space and plenty of comfy beds.
The location is also terrific. It’s on the south side of town, right on Hee’ia Bay with incredible waves right outside the door (experienced surfers only, not for beginners!) and a short walk from the marina. Great view of sunset and the sounds of the ocean is loud and perfect for sleeping.
The host was terrific and communicative.
