Our family of 6 absolutely loved our stay here! The home is spacious and clean. The view is spectacular. This home has everything needed for a relaxing time on the big island! We’ll definitely book again.
This home was perfect for our family’s most special vacation in Hawaii. The proximity to the Mauna Kea was our original goal. But we ended up loving the home so much that we didn’t go down to the resort as often as expected. The pool was always the right temperature and just the right size. Everything was in fantastic condition - bathrooms and kitchen seemed newly refinished. And there were bathrooms for every single bedroom. The AC was exactly what we needed – each person could control their own bedroom. There was so much space to relax, and the views from the lanais were truly magical. We are counting down the days till we can go again. Thank you to the hosts for sharing your beautiful home!
We stayed for a week to celebrate a big birthday. This house far exceeded our expectations. It is absolutely stunning! The layout is perfect with a bath for each room (listing said 3 baths but there are 4). The 4th bedroom is actually a separate building which was perfect for the family with small kids - made nap time easy and quiet. We spent most of our time on the lanai gazing out to sea. The pool is beautiful although there is no shade around it and it is too windy for umbrellas. Kitchen is very well outfitted. Beach/pools towels are provided. The entire house is updated and very well maintained (I fell in love with the beautiful wood floors). We loved our time here and did not want to leave. Management is responsive and the mid week cleaning crew left it spotless.

Our family of 8 had a terrific time - cooled by air conditioning when we needed it on the hot august days and not when we didn’t. Great to be able to open all the doors and have the cool night air breeze through. Comfty beds and great to have each room with its own bathroom. Easy and super communication with Lorena who went above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed for two 80-year old parents. Really well stocked in terms of pots and pans and spices. All around just a great stay. Wonderful! Thank you!

Major positive improvements made to the house in the last twenty years...more areas need attention. Half of back garden lights did not work....still not working after two visits from repairman, air conditioning unit in front bedroom non functioning ....after having repairman there twice. Pool tile is a very dark blue which made it difficult to supervise small children. Hot tub was not clean. Propane ran out in BBQ which hampered our last night's dinner...having only used it twice before. Garden needs attention...dead and/or sick plants. Kitchen needs editing and organization...very chaotic.
Teflon pans very scratched, etc. "Maid service included"...was actually only once during 9 day stay! Tried to use "shopping service" but was told not available when I requested...may need greater lead time? Needed additional dining chairs...some folding chairs would be nice due to limited seating for outdoor dining.
Positives: Bathroom renovations are fabulous, new washer /dryer, booking agent very responsive to requests, fresh new linens, pool towels, pool toys in outside storage unit very nice. Very quiet street.

This home is simply stunning. Take photos of the sunsets - you’ll want to remember them forever. The sliding doors disappear into the walls making it truly indoor/outdoor living. The bathrooms are renovated and impeccable. The kitchen is well appointed! We had everything we needed. Property management is communicative and warm. We’ve been coming to the Mauna Kea for years and loved this home the most.

In one word…PARADISE! We had such a memorable stay in this incredible Mauna Kea home. Pictures do not do the house or view justice! It is just perfect from sunrise to sunset. All the amenities you could want & more. Our family (two adults & 3 teens) spent a week here celebrating the end of school and our 25th anniversary in June and can’t say enough good things about this property and the management. The pool and lanais were so relaxing and we loved the close access to grabbing snacks & beverages from the kitchen. We watched movies each night in the comfy living room. The bedrooms & bathrooms were luxurious yet cozy. We opted to pay for access to to the Mauna Kea Beach Club & Westin Hapuna and really enjoyed the reserved parking and being able to use charging privileges and the concierge service. We hope to come back again soon!

Aloha! We had booked originally for June of 2020 and with Covid we were no able to travel to the islands. the owners and concierge agent were so accommodating and let us rebook for March of 2021. We had many emails between Lorena and myself for prior arrangements, she made EVERYTHING just perfect for our stay. When we arrived we had a few groceries ready and waiting on us and we also had our arrival leis there ready to wear! She made the trip so enjoyable. We loved the location and it was great to be able to use both resorts and we did! Although I think our days just relaxing by the pool at the house were the best. The house was equipped with any and everything you might need. We also hired a private chef to prepare our dinner on our last there and it was MAGNIFICENT!
