Beach chairs, beach towels, cooler, boogie boards, linens, towels, hair dryer, shampoo, soap, copy of “Maui Revealed” for guest use.
Solar heated pool on 2nd floor/2 BBQs .
Next to South Maui Gardens: 13 food trucks - Luaus, Hula Shows, Farmers Market, the Blue Door Bakery (sourdough bread and pizza), and Kracken Coffee truck.
“The Triangle”; shopping, live entertainment, bars, restaurants, food trucks.
Foodland, movie theater, Maui bus stop.
On the 1st floor: Grab and Go (convenience store) 7am-10pm, Saltwater Cafe, Maui Dreams Dive Shop, The Man Cave. You can rent bicycles, get massage, manicure or even a tattoo.
Two elevators. Free WiFi Solar heated pool, 2 bbq gas grills. Handicapped and wheelchair accessible (may have limitations). No Smoking.
Many guests do not feel need to rent car because they can walk to Charley Young beach - food trucks - restaurants- shopping - entertainment- rent bicycles- The Triangle - South Maui Gardens.

Awesome property walking distance from everything you need in town. Host is super sweet and responsive. Definitely recommend staying here!

This property is definitely the best price/location combo I found, and because of that I'm giving it 4 stars. You can tell the owners care about the place because they decorated it very nicely and provide lots of great amenities that are super useful. They've done great work with such a small space.
Now for the cons:
1) Attention to detail, especially with cleaning. Somehow a shoe that was partially hidden by the draping of the comforter by the side of the bed such wasn't found by the cleaner. Not sure how, I immediately tripped over it. The tub/shower could also have been cleaner.
2) Bugs. I didn't count this against the star rating because I realize it's Hawaii, and Kihei, and an old building, and you can't control the cleanliness of your neighbors, but there were definitely bugs.
3) There was no shampoo or conditioner provided, just a bar of soap.
4) There's no dead bolt. This felt unsafe.
5) The shower curtain liner was gross. Recommend replacing more regularly, or getting one that is patterned, not white.
6) The shower head is crazy low. If you're over 5' tall you're going to hate the shower. A new head that goes higher (like the kind that is also a handheld) is like $30 and easy to install and would make this sooooo much nicer for tall guys like me.
7) A curved shower curtain rod is cheap, easy to install, and would make the shower so much nicer.
8) The lights outside are always on and the curtain isn't very dark. A blackout curtain would be really nice.

Absolutely loved this location! The host is so kind, accommodating and communicative. The details in room such as beach towels, coffee, and boogie boards were such a great touch. Made it so hard to leave!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay in this property. The location was perfect for walking to shops, restaurants, the gardens with the food trucks, and the lovely park across the street. Ligia’s suggestions for activities and instructions to get to and access the room were perfect. We appreciated the nice thoughtful touches and amenities provided.

Loved the location, spent alot of time at S Maui Gardens!, Pool was great. Walked to most places easily. Ocean across the street. Sweet and comfortable space.

If you dont have a car, this is a great location. Close to food, bars and beaches. Plenty of activities close by. It is a studio without a kitchen, but we planned on eating out most days anyways. They had boogie boards and beach gear at the studio. The owner communicated extremely well. I would highly recommend staying here.
