This beautiful, private Honua Kai "Penthouse Level" (Konea #814) one bedroom resort view condominium is located at the newest luxury oceanfront resort in Maui. Enjoy all the best amenities in this spectacular resort that has been named one of the best on Maui
This top floor luxury condominium boasts great views and ultimate privacy. No one can see into your suite from outside or from other condos.
You have all new furniture and Bosch applicances. Extensive mirror work throughout the living room, dining room and bedroom adds to sense of openness throughout. There are two flatscreen TVs, one in the living room and one in the bedroom.
This is a great choice for couples or a family of four as we have a king bed and a queen sofa sleeper. The bedding for the sofa sleeper is stored in the coffee table in front of the sofa.
Unlike some of the units, there is no direct view into it from other units, so it is very private.
You have your choice of multiple pools, with 'Baja Shelf', water slides. Other amenities include gazebos, cabanas, poolside food and beverage service and more.
Barbeques are conveniently located near the beach side of the resort so you can enjoy your favorite steak cooked to perfection.
The resort charges a $20 per day parking/resort fee which is included in the quote from VRBO on bookings made after January 30, 2019.
There are mulitple restaurants nearby including Duke's Beachhouse Restaurant and Aina Gourmet Market, which are on the property.
Pool towels are left in the room. Please return them. The towels in the pool kiosks are only for those who book through the front desk at a much higher nightly rate.
Fully equipped gymnasiums are available so you don't miss the opportunity to work out if that is in your vacation plan.
If our housekeeping team determines there are excessive cleaning requirements after your check-out, there will be an additional charge deducted from your Security Deposit to cover this extra cost. My family of four enjoyed our stay. My kids (8/10) really enjoyed the pools and proximity to the beach. The condo was comfortable and convenient. Swimming towels were always available. We enjoyed eating on the lanai. Check in was super easy as was parking, once we figured out which elevators went up to the 8th floor. There were some minor issues with the dryer/dishwasher but not a big deal. John was responsive.

Honua Kai is our favorite spot to vacation especially with family. Full kitchen and Mountain View’s add to the experience. The grounds are well maintained and lush with foliage.

There was a miscommunication regarding checking in after normal hours. Our plane was delayed so got in at 1:00am. It was pretty stressful but got it worked out. On site people were great with their assistance.

Firstly we travel to Hawaii often and we have been to all the Islands repeatedly and we usually stay in these kinds of resorts. Needless to say we were disappointed this time around. This condo needs urgent TLC. It failed to meet our expectation as home away from home. The carpet need to be ripped out completely. It had numerous dark and black stains and spots. The carpet in my opinion is beyond housekeeping, and as you enter the condo, you will see the carpet almost tearing apart.
The kitchen is not stocked with modern appliances.
We had no access to the white pool towels in the towel booths. When we approached the lobby about this the lady said, "the landlord did not pay for the towels".
The bed covers were too thin.
So if you are looking for a luxury stay like we are used to in Hawaii, this is not the right condo.

We loved this property. It had all basic needs to make the stay comfortable and was just as expected, and the Honua Kai resort is amazing. The view is peaceful and serene, and our family will miss the wall/door (nano wall) that you could open up to get complete access to the balcony and Maui breeze. Thank you!

My partner and 2 young kids really enjoyed our stay at this property. The bathroom is very large, the bedroom comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed for a short stay. It was a great location near the beach and close to other Maui snorkeling spots.
