Sandpiper 120A, as seen on HGTV's "Hawaii Life": Enjoy a quiet retreat in this attractively decorated, ground floor condo in Sandpiper Village Princeville. This Kauai vacation rental has a fully equipped kitchen for home cooked meals, a large tiled lanai to enjoy a cool drink amidst tropical breezes, a large king size bed with expanded bathroom and vanity area, and more. Free wifi. Your own reserved parking place.

You are close (but not too close!) to the complex swimming pool with Jacuzzi and BBQ area. Condo includes a reserved parking spot just steps from the condo entrance. The Sandpiper Village is centrally located within the Princeville resort community, and close to all of the north shore sights. Beaches, shopping, and dining are all close by. You can follow the walking path across the street to the Princeville shopping center, park, library, or head the other direction to Hideaways beach, golfing, and several additional dining options. You'll truly stay like a local here. This older apartment complex is home to many permanent residents, mainly young, and these Princeville condos provide some great amenities like pool, jacuzzi, and barbecue grills. Unit amenities include free wifi, Smart TV, full bathroom, full kitchen.

As with most homes on Kauai, this vacation rental is NOT air conditioned.

Although this home has internet, the speed and reliability cannot be guaranteed due to the remote location and the service being provided by a third-party.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Check in and check out was super easy. This apartment had all the basic necessities and was spotless clean. The bed mattress has a prominent sink hole and higher quality shampoo and conditioner would have been appreciated. Overall, my stay was comfortable, met my needs, and was a good value.

The property grounds are amazingly beautiful and well kept. The condo itself had everything you might need on a vacation. It felt like a home away from home after long days of sight seeing, hiking, swimming... It is far from all the main island attractions. If you stay here, be prepared to make at least a 45 minute drive to any attractions beyond Hanalei Bay.

It looked just like the pictures..had just the basics, which was fine for me.The pool and hot tub were great ! We were there to hike, so at the end of the day, the hot tub was great for my legs and feet !! Swimming pool was very nice. Located close to store's in Princeville, which was convenient.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed here for a little less that 3 months.It was one of the cheaper places we found! It did suite our purpose, but there are some things that could have been better- needs new carpet/flooring- whats there now is badly stained.Yes, there is a nice new mattress, but the box springs are ancient and causing the mattress to collapse in the middle already. The kitchen is usable, but the pots/pans are a bit on flimsy side- we ended up buying a few things to make cooking there easier.Needs a paint job, and the couch either needs legs- or replacing.The grounds were awesome though- nice pool.The upstairs nieghbor was a bit heavy footed, but we got used to it after a bit. The housekeeping staff was awesome, as was the management staff- communication was spot on.The roku tv was useless to us, but the internet worked great.Despite the drawbacks, we’d probably stay here again.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: it was a lovely place but in need of refreshing. the internet did not work. the blinds in the master were broken but quickly replaced by the management team. the mattress was also in need of replacing. the management team ordered a new one but it did not arrive prior to our departure. (it should be great for you now.) the internet was a continuing challenge (roku is awful) and the neighbor next door was also having similar problems. spectrum came and went but still no internet. the kitchen was great and the washer dryer a dream. the management team was great but the unit could use a fresh coat of paint, new curtains where the curtain rod does not fall as you close the curtains. the location was perfect for us but the condition of the property itself was very very disappointing.

When first arriving the check-in instructions were wrong. They indicated that there was a lockbox with a key, so we spent forever trying to get into the lockbox and by chance found the electric keypad lock behind the screen door. Besides that, the condo was very nice. If you are accustomed to air-conditioning, the "island breeze cooling" is very different, and works the best in the bedroom where the main shutters are. The kitchen is sparsely stocked, so be prepared for simple cooking or purchasing your own spices. The condos are also very densely packed which means you can almost always hear your neighbors and there is a porch right outside the bathroom window. Overall, comfortable condo in a nice area, and great location overall in-between Kilauea and Hanalei.

Be aware of total costs as they increase greatly with fees.The wifi never worked so we gave up and went to the beach.Pleasant people in the complex.
