We had a great big family trip and had lots of fun. We rented 3 different units. The quality really varied from each place. The upstairs bathroom for the main bedroom of our place has a really bad layout; the toilet sits in front of the sink and only one person can be in there at a time. Most things in the unit need to be updated, many things need to be replaced or cleaned out - too much stuff in every drawer, cupboard, closet. Loved the property & location but I wouldn't rent that condo again. The property manager wasn't very friendly but he diligently did his chores everyday.

We have rented at the Cove several times over the years and always come back. It gives us the low-key, oceanfront experience we love. Access to the cove for snorkeling is one of the main attractions for us, as well as the magnificent views of the surf crashing beyond the cove and the whales enjoying their winter retreat. This time, we had Unit 213. It has a fabulous view. Downstairs bedroom has twin beds (a bit small for adults) and the upstairs has a queen. A comfy couch gives nice seating for four or five. The dressers could use replacing, but overall, the unit is in good shape. The bathrooms with large walk-in showers appear to be a recent addition—much appreciated.

This cove is a beautiful for swimming for even the novice and other water activities. My issue is each condominium is owned by a different person and the overall cost is based on the size of the unit. Our unit was one bedroom with a loft. We didn't need the loft but it was the only option available. The owner of our unit didn't upgrade the unit or put any investment into making it more comfortable. The towels were old and very used. We were there 10 nights and no cleaning of the unit or extra sheets or towels for a long stay. In other units they had this small amenity. We were paying $400.00 a night and it would have been nice if there was a cleaning mid stay. Other condos have cleaning and towels cleaned and sheets in 4 days. If you get a unit (no way to know) with the guidance of Campo, the manager, who helps the "regulars" get the renovated units it would be nice or they should lower the fee for the old units that are not cleaned unless you stay 2 weeks. The location is good for restaurants and there are 3 barbecues but the kitchen is electric and not very functional. The workers cleaned the grass every morning and that was good. You are expected to take out your garbage. I am not a snob but for $400.00 a night - I expect more attention and a better unit. The kitchen chairs rolled and were a poor choice in my opinion.

We had a wonderful time at Honokeana Cove! It was our first time staying there. We had a wonderful view of the cove and ocean, and loved snorkeling and seeing the fish and huge turtles! Our condo was well stocked with everything we needed, including a cooler bag in which we packed a lunch for our drive to Hana. We enjoyed walking to the Gazebo Restaurant, as well as a beautiful beach to the North. I would highly recommend this property to friends! It was such a relaxing and enjoyable trip. We hope to return someday.

If you’re looking for a place to unwind and reconnect with family and friends look no further. The Honokeana is what the doctor ordered. It is well maintained, has private ocean access with some of the best snorkeling on Maui. There are turtles, fish and if you’re lucky you may see a small octopus in the cove. You can’t go wrong staying at the Honokeana Cove!

Beautiful location / view off the balcony. Best snorkeling we found is right out in Honokeana Cove (and we spent $400 on snorkeling boat trips). Specific unit we were in was a little "over-furnitured", but that was a minor annoyance. Unit had everything we needed, was clean and well maintained.

This was our 7th time to the Cove. Like always Su, Ray, and Betty were great. The grounds were immaculate, so many turtles to swim with every day plus a bonus this year, we actually were visited by a couple seals, so awesome. This place by far is the best in Maui. As far as condo #213, would not stay at this condo again, I guess the best way to describe it is “Tired”, loft bed mattress needs an upgrade, not very comfortable, and the pillows were just as bad. Carpets were a little dingy especially the one downstairs, and the rest of carpet seemed dirty. Kitchen supplies not as nice as other units, we like to cook most of our meals there, they had no containers with any lids to store leftovers or put fruit in etc...they had two Tommy Bahama beach chairs but one was broken, plus the closets were cluttered with stuff, “just need to clean them out” furniture downstairs just seemed old and run down, I get this a rental property but if your getting top dollar, you need to spend a little to keep it nice, especially the loft bed! Trip was great, like I said Su, Ray and Betty were outstanding. We will definitely return just not to #213! Bring back Pupu Wednesdays, we can social distance out there.

40 years ago I visited with my mother and learned to snorkel. After traveling the world snorkeling The state of the coral here and other beaches in Maui was disappointing, although I enjoyed the turtles. The condo was very nice although the carpets were dirty. The difficulty in turning on the tv and the wifi was frustrating. The wifi didn't work for 4 days and the front desk said I was on holiday so shouldn't get on line or watch tv. That was not helpful. There was no list in the condo of local restaurants, or recommended snorkeling sites and boats, nor any list of other things to do, such as the butterfly farm and bee area. That is always helpful. Given the extra charge for cleaning I think the cleaners should have emptied the garbage.

The condo was cozy, clean and artistically decorated. The kitchen was well stocked with items we needed. Enjoyed having AC in bedrooms. Info on operating AC unit would have been helpful. My only complaint the bed pillows were hard as rocks and extremely uncomfortable. The pillows were so uncomfortable I did not get a good night sleep our entire stay. I woke up every morning with a sore neck and shoulders. Despite uncomfortable pillows I will return again and again!!!

We rented 3 units. 2 of them thru management. Everything went very smoothly from check in to check out. There was a hot water issue that was addressed very quickly. My daughter and family stayed in unit 213. They were very comfortable there. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and pans and supplies. They liked having the air conditioning at nite. Can’t think of any negatives.
