We enjoyed are stay at Sugar Beach Resort. The owner, Kevin, was great at communicating with us about the Penthouse and provided all the information we needed. Would highly recommend this property.
Easy check in, beautiful view, close to everything and a quiet beach! The condo was clean when we arrived and the host was quick to update us with anything happening at the condo. We will be back!
I think the unit is very nice. Lovely view and layout. Air conditioning was “Hawaiian style”. (We used the fan in the bedroom.) it was so nice for you to provide 4 beach towels, two beach chairs,plenty of shampoo and conditioner, laundry soap, dishwashing soap, fresh towels, toilet paper, paper towels. This is not always the case! Pool was really nice. Cool water. Comfy lounge chairs. Checking in was a small hassle. We got there at 6pm. We went back the next day at 2:00. There was a sign on the door stating that she “would be back soon.” So we tried a third time and we would have had to return a fourth time since we did not know our license plate number. ( we were mad and we decided to risk it) Other than that it was a really nice vacation before our conference.

Had a excellent time in this clean, well equipped and updated condo with breath taking views of the ocean. Pool was nice and never crowded.Kevin was very responsive to any questions we had. We had a great stay here and would recommend this condo.
I come to Maui once or twice a year. This condo is heaven on earth. The beach is walkable! Most of the condos I have rented, that’s not so. The ocean is easy to swim in. This is a non tourist but delightful spot. If you have a car, it’s perfect. The host has been amazing. I’ve already booked my next vacation here. Thank you Kevin for sharing this gem with us visitors! Cheers!

First off, to be able to view Maui from the top floor was a selling point for me, but to be able to do your laundry so easily on vacation was a game changer! I will stay here again if ever given the opportunity! Thank you so much !!!!
Nice sandy beach and lovely water views. Location for exploring the island is perfect. Great sunsets but due to west-facing, the porch gets quite warm in the afternoons. We went to the pool and sat under the nice roofed area near the water that provided great shade and breezes!Communication with Kevin, the host, was very good. He provided for a late checkout to accommodate our late flight to the next island. The bedroom was large enough to provide for two extra large suitcases and the kitchen allowed for any type of cooking needed.
Enjoyed beautiful sunsets, long beach walks, quiet, serene surroundings. Restaurants were a distance away except for a small bar w/sandwiches.
What a location! We booked the penthouse and it was one of the best locations. Cleanly maintained property and the host kept us informed at all times.
Beautiful, quiet property. Loved Dina’s Sandwitch shop and the Sugar Beach Bakery. Location was perfect! Great views with the beach, feet away. The unit was uber clean, watch out for the sliding glass door (too clean/clear you forget it’s there).

We’ve been coming to this resort for the last six years. We’ve stayed in places just as nice. The only downfall for us was that all the other places we stayed in had a pocket door between the toilet/shower area and the sink/bedroom area. It was hard to see this unit did not have that from the pictures, but that could’ve just been what we didn’t see. If that doesn’t bother you then it’s a very nice place to stay.Minor details that I’m sure the host will take care of: there were not any hot pads or baking sheets (glass baking dishes only). There was an abundance of very large pots and pans, which surprise me since only two people can stay in that unit. There were not any grilling utensils, but we managed with what was there.The one set of drawers is put in backwards(?) on the kitchen island, which leaves a very skinny shelf area for you to put any food items. Again, minor details. The host was very easy to communicate with and easy to contact.
The location of the condo was perfect, not quite in Kehei, but close enough to walk into town via the beach. The neighborhood was quiet and private. The views from the Lanai were amazing. The condo was the perfect size for two people and we enjoyed the amenities that came with it. We did find the bathroom/bedroom set up to be a little odd as you had to go through the bath to get to the bedroom, but we made it work.
Everything was fantastic. The location is amazing and right on the beach. The view from the balcony is stunning and we saw one of the most beautiful sunsets of our lives about 45 minutes after I witnessed a whale breach in the distance. The location is very convenient to the airport which is a plus. Kevin is a personable and responsive host. I highly recommend this property for anyone considering the Kihei area.
We were thrilled with our stay at Sugar Beach! The unit has a gorgeous view, and being on the top floor was lovely. The lanai blocks the afternoon wind, allowing you to still enjoy the sunshine when the winds pick up. The host was super communicative and responsive-we so appreciated him! We will be back as soon as we can.
My husband and I enjoyed staying at Sugar Beach very much. Great condo. Clean, well equipped. Great beach and convenient location. Quiet and peaceful away from the hubbub of Kaanapali although we love that too.
My husband and loved our stay! Clean/ beautiful property with an amazing view and extremely accessible to the beach. Kevin was very accommodating and quickly answered any questions we had. We would for sure stay again and recommend to anyone who asks.
This condo was absolutely perfect for the two of us. The views were incredible from the beach front balcony. Loved hearing the ocean sounds. Owner response was immediate. Beautifully remodeled. Easy to find. Clean.

We had a fabulous stay in Maui and highly recommend Kevin’s condo. The view truly cannot be beat. The condo is fully stocked, clean, and comfortable. This was our first time in Maui and we loved how central staying in Sugar Beach was to other parts of the island. The area is low key and less busy than other places we visited on the island. We loved being able to walk to Sugar Beach Bakery and the farmer’s market just down the beach. We also recommend the snorkel rental place and sandwich shop/bar that is one site. Very friendly! It was quite windy in the afternoons when we were there (partially due to nearby tropical storms that luckily didn’t really impact us), but the mornings on the beach were lovely and the pool and grounds were very well kept. Thanks for a wonderful retirement celebration!
Great beachfront locale, and located an easy distance from airport and various sites. The pool and got tub were great. Unit was clean and functional.
