August 10, 2023: ABOUT THE LAHAINA FIRES:
Maui is not devastated. Lahaina is. Kihei is untouched. We live here. We have had guests in our condo for the past 5 days. Yesterday they went on a tour to Hana. The rest of the island is normal. By September, 2023, visitors will be welcomed again. Right now we need a few weeks for the Hawaii Visitor's Bureau to take care of all visitors who had to evacuate their hotel rooms on the west side of Maui. Visitors are being fed, sheltered and helped with attaining flights back home. Many visitors are now being sheltered in Kihei as well as other spots on Maui and Oahu. Luckily, the people of Hawaii take great care of each other. The response to those in need has been unbelievable. That's a major reason we live here.

We had a lovely time. The condo was cute and cozy. It had everything we needed to prepare simple meals. The bed was very comfortable. My only complaints are that it was a little warm at night even with the air on, and also too many night lights all over the condo. If you like it dark, bring a sleep mask😊

Sandy and Frank have created an oasis of comfort and serenity in Kihei. Every detail was attended to with many extra touches one would not expect. We loved our stay here and the location can’t be beat. It is near everywhere you would want to go. We hope to return!

We couldn’t have found a better location! We island hopped on 3 day trips but returned each night. This location was perfect for all we wanted to do in Maui! The condo views were awesome. From the lawn we could whale watch and enjoyed beautiful sunsets. (Certainly didn’t matter to us but there are no lights on balcony). If we return to Maui this will be our first choice of homes away from home.
