We had a wonderful family vacation staying at Na Hale O Keauhou. Ruth is an excellent host; she is responsive and accommodating to any questions or needs. This is our second stay at the Na Hale O Keauhou condos and look forward to many more.
I have been coming to K2 for years now. LOVE it in everyway - from its location in Kona, to how close I am to the pool, to the view I get to enjoy from the lanai. Leaving Alaska in February and snow birding to Kona is the BEST! The condo is well-equipped so I can cook, relax, sleep, chill, and enjoy the warmth of Hawaii. I will continue to book this condo for years to come as it is now an important getaway for me. Thanks for providing a lovely, clean and wonderful place to retreat to!

The property was very clean and up-to-date. Kitchen was stocked with everything that we needed and plenty of items for the pool, beach, and outings. Views from the lanai were amazing and the best part of the day was drinking coffee in the early morning and looking out at the ocean. Because the building is curved, you really get a sense of privacy. The pool is just a short walk away. Also walked up to the local coffee and crepe shop in the morning which I would highly recommend. Far enough away from the business of downtown yet still close enough to get to whatever you need quickly. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!
We loved our stay at this condo! The condo itself is beautifully decorated, immaculately clean, and lacked nothing. Stores and beaches are in walking or short driving distance. Ruth, and her local manager, were very quick to respond to questions. We watched many beautiful sunsets from the lanai. The complex itself is well maintained and very quiet. We are happily recommending this condo to friends and family should they visit the Big Island. It would be our first choice should we be fortunate enough to return. This is our second stay in K-2 and it was just as enjoyable as the first time. The location is great, easy to walk to the grocery store(s). We spent most of our time by the pool and were less than a 20 minute drive to tons of beaches. We'll definitely be back!

We had an excellent stay at Na Hale O Keauhou, Townhome K-2. The townhome was clean and tidy, fully furnished, and beautifully decorated. Excellent location, lots of parking and very quiet at night for a good night sleep. I recommend this unit without any reservation to anyone looking for a luxurious accommodation for a Hawaii vacation.
Thankyou Ruth for allowing us to stay in your Condo. It's not the first time and hopefully won't be the last. We love everything about it and it feels so good coming back. The Condo is in the perfect location for us. We love that is offers a beautiful swimming pool, gym and shops/supermarket within 5 minutes walk. The condo is huge modern and the entire complex is quiet and safe. We just love it.
Very clean and comfortable, nicely decorated and we were able to have extended family over to visit. Would definitely recommend.
Sorry so long... We were lucky enough to stay here for 8 days while I attended a conference at the Fairmont-Orchid in July. We appreciated the proximity to Kahalu'u Beach---which is super good for snorkeling, and there was a lifeguard. (Parking spots open at the beach early morning and around lunch time, drive in before you assume it is full!) The location is just off All'i drive, but around 5-10 minutes to touristy Kona, so there was never any noise, it is a quiet area. A Long's drug store is around the corner with a local grocery chain--but try to buy fruit at a roadside fruit stand. It is 20-30 minutes to the airport depending on traffic.
The condo was very nicely decorated, and had all of the things you need and don't want to buy for only a week: laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent, spices and salad dressing. Drip coffee maker. (I never buy coffee beans on vacation because I am not sure if there is going to be a coffee grinder, but I think there was one in the pantry or one of the cupboards.) It has the local cable provider cable service--which had on-demand programming. I didn't see amazon/netflix, but it was easy to plug my laptop into the tv, and the wifi-internet was great. The ice maker worked good! Brandon was responsive when I emailed him. There was a front loading washer, that did smell a little mildewy--(leave the door open people,) but it is only in a hallway, and it washed clothes great, and there was a dryer. I thought it might be weird to not park in the garage, but it made it a nice place to unpack things, and let our gear dry (avoiding the temptation to hang stuff outside--which is against the HOA rules). We liked the pool too. They have a few pairs of fins, boogie boards, lawn chairs, beach towels... We usually bring our own snorkeling stuff, but it is good to know it is there.
There were lots of things people had bought before under the sink in the master bathroom (I think there was even an aloe/sunburn product as well as sunblock/mouthwash, so check if you forget something.)
We didn't have trouble with bugs when we put food away. As a townhome, it did put the kids away so we could stay up if we wanted to downstairs. The master bedroom was large with a beautifully tiled shower and a soaking tub. (With shampoo and soap!)
There were three large portable air conditioning units with vent tubing to the windows. I think having the central A/C on would be crazy expensive because people wouldn't be mindful to turn the thermostat up when going out and the high electricity costs are some of the highest in the nation--there is no reason to keep it cool when you aren't there. (That's partly why you stay in a condo and not a resort--save $$.) It was a surpise, but as long as the bathroom window was closed during the day and evening, the two units running upstairs, from evening to morning kept the bedrooms comfortable. We ran the downstairs unit less as the main floor stayed cooler--and we turned it off when we were out all day--they do have timers that you can set. (I think they are inverters, so make sure you use the snowflake mode and not heater or fan--that confused me at one point.) We saw the same type of a/c unit at a different condo we stayed in, and it worked fine as well, but that place only gave us one--glad we were there in the spring and not summer!
When we arrived, the cleaner left the bathroom window open, and unfortunately the hot air really came in off the shingled roof. We were kind of panicked at first---that it would be too hot to sleep, but it worked out fine, once we kept that window closed!
This was our third stay at Na Hale K-2. All the amenities you need for a fabulous beach vacation. The condo is very spacious, clean and within walking or driving distance of beaches. The pool and exercise area are nice bonuses! It’s also not a far drive to all the action and restaurants in Kailua but nice and quiet when you return back to the condo. We wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else on the Big Island and will definitely return again soon!

This is a beautiful condo in an excellent location. The unit is very clean and well maintained. KTA grocery store, CVS Drug store and a number of shops and restaurants are within walking distance of the unit. The shopping center also has a Saturday farmers market that should not be missed. We enjoyed the nearby beaches and also enjoyed the pool and hot tub at the complex. The communication with the owner was very good. We would definitely recommend this condo. Hope we will have an opportunity to stay here again in the future. Thank you so much for sharing your lovely condo. Mahalo Ruth!!
This two bedroom condo is located in the 5 Star rates Na Hale O’ Keauhou complex. The unit is very well appointed and clean. The owners have maintained the unit extremely well. We so appreciated the beach equipment and the ability to store and dry items in the garage.

We will be back again soon!
My mom and I stayed here while on the big island. It is a beautiful condo, close to many beaches, and very well kept. We are looking forward to our next trip!
