My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Honua Kai. The facilities are great and the view from the lanai is awesome. There were a couple of issues with the property. The elevators unfortunately were out of order multiple days. They did fix them but then they would be out of order again the next day. We had two different maintenance people, on different days,walk into the unit unannounced. I did contact the Property Manager after it happened the first time and they ensured it was a one off. Then, it happened the next day again. Otherwise, the unit is comfortable and great for a longer stay in Maui.
We had a fabulous time staying at the Honua Kai. Everything was perfect!!! We highly recommend this place for a family vacation. Condo had everything we needed… views, cleanliness, location, fully stocked kitchen, excellent snorkeling and an amazing beach and pool. We will definitely be returning!
After traveling for 24 hours we finally arrived at the resort only to find that the door code did not work. We were assured at first that we must be entering the passcode wrong. Eventually we were a mastercode that did work. Rest of vacation was great.

Beautiful condo!! Great amenities! I was unhappy with the extra fees that were tacked on at the time of booking. Nothing on the description stated there would be extra fees. Considering how high the cleaning fee is I was disappointed that there was not at least one mid week cleaning & fresh towels.
We have stayed at this property many times. Next time I will consider reserving one that is owned by a different property management company.

Great place, great view, great proximity to beach. The entire reservation process was easy and simple. Very pleasant group to work with - plan on staying with them again.

The Honua Kai itself is great. I was a little disappointed with this room vs others we’ve stayed at. Upon arriving was not very clean and had to get things to clean it myself. Was not stocked with anything besides toilet paper where as all other rooms we’ve rented were fully loaded with spices, sand toys, beach toys of all kinds. Even the side of the cooler left for us barely fit a few drinks. Overall was a fine stay but the cleanliness was hard no for me. I won’t use again unfortunately.

There was painting scheduled every day we were there which prevented us from using the Oceanview patio, we we’re pretty disappointed since we paid more for that view. The painter were very loud!

Nice location and staff but a few things to mention. There were loud fans in the hallway due to a leak repair. People were working until 8:00 p.m. The location needs more options to purchase drinks.

We really enjoyed staying here! The room was exactly as promised. We used the beach chairs and cooler almost every day! Parking was easy and the location is great!!!

My family and I had the most amazing time at honua Kai. We had been in need of a break but were a bit nervous of traveling during covid. Place was very clean and exceeded our expectations! Sitting on the lanai watching the sunset and whales was a huge plus! We will be back.
We were seriously disappointed in the maintenance of the room we were in. It was somewhat run down and definitely in need of some TLC. I found myself having to re-clean everything after we got settled into our room and the lack of cleanliness was definitely upsetting giving these Covid times. The pools and property overall were nice, it was mainly the room that was the disappointment.
