Menehune Shores is uniquely situated adjacent to the historically important 16th century Alii (Royal) Fish Pond of Kalepolepo. Protected by offshore reefs, the Pond provides safe swimming for children and those wishing to avoid heavy surf. The Hawaiians still fish in the Pond, on occasion, using the old "throw net" method and occasionally use torches at night to attract the "aweoweo"!

Overall it was a good stay with a few concerns. The first one is a cleanness of the bath towels and some kitchen utensils, we had to clean those before using.
Missing BBQ tongs.
Windows are not sound proof, this apartment is the closest to the road so it was quite noisy in the mornings and late evenings.
The second bedroom had squeaky mattresses.
On the positive side the apartment overall is in good shape, everything is working, partial ocean view is an awesome addition to the morning coffee. There were some beach chairs in decent condition as well as a portable fridge that was helpful. We really appreciate that the appointment was ready for checking in earlier than expected.
The overall service at menehune shores is very good, the staff cleaned the pool, grilling areas and parking lot quite often.

This resort was AMAZING. Perfect location in Kihei close to everything you could need. Not to mention the amazing ancient fishing pond right outside on the beach. We saw multiple turtles eating greens off the cement wall and just swimming underfoot! I was worried about being hot in July but the AC was good and the ocean breeze through the unit was good too. I will comment that the traffic noise coming through the front of the unit is loud but did not detract from our enjoyment of the stay. Resort Amenities! Super warm pool, beachside BBQs and a rooftop oasis complete with more BBQs and stunning views. The BBQ propane ran out on the roof one night of our stay but that is not the unit’s fault. When we stayed, the unit had 2 small coolers, 4 lawn chairs and snorkel gear for 5. Unfortunately the ocean swallowed 3 of the masks we borrowed so I bought new sets and left them behind. Fun fact, I saw a TikTok that said tourists should visit the thrift stores for snorkel and beach gear… I wish I thought of that! The unit has in suite washer and dryer and a full kitchen. Decor was simple, inviting, and relaxing. Plenty of room for our party of 6 with my husband and I in the Oceanside queen room, my friend and her two boys in the street side double twin/king room, and my son in the livingroom on the sofa bed. Do not pack your own towels, there were plenty of beach towels to use. The bathrooms were also stocked with towels for 6 so we had everything we needed.

This was a great family stay. 2 bedrooms, laundry, kitchen, all working great. The only 2 minor items would be if you notice road noise (we do not, so not an issue) and if you are a tech person whom will want to log in to your apps, the TV would not accept an update, but I just used my Roku with no problems. Some minor issues (ice maker didn't work, we used ice trays. The door to the balcony from the primary bedroom did not work, we didn't need it). A/C in all rooms worked great!!!!! We will return

We always have the most magical times at Menehune Shores! Grounds are kept immaculate. The staff is friendly and helpful. And the accommodation and views can’t be beat. We’ll be back for a 4th time without a doubt! Aloha

Place was great! Great location. Nice and clean. Bright and spacious. Loved having a code instead of keys. Parking was always available. Building itself was great. Pool and amenities were well kept. Beach was amazing. The only negative thing was the ice machine in the fridge didn’t work. We had to go buy a bag of ice but otherwise everything was wonderful. Would come back and recommend!

Great location for shopping, food trucks and beaches. Very comfortable for our family of 5! We loved the rooftop for bbq'ing and watching the beautiful sunsets! Great having the swimming pool and short walkway to the beach. Would definitely stay again. Mahalo!

We had an excellent stay at this condo. It has just about everything we needed. The AC worked great . We did have to contact the people about one of the tv’s and got a very fast response to get it working again. Would love to come back someday!

This is a spacious condo, a plus it is on the end of the building so it has extra windows in the bedrooms and bathrooms giving more light. It is near the road though so a bit noisy during rush hours. We had a comfortable stay.

Bed was squeaking, need to be changed, screen Door can't close and
Lanie door from bed room doesn't Lock. 2nd bathroom shower head was corraded. So inexpensive to fix but looks like no one payed any attention 😞.

Property was as listed. Very helpful and friendly office and landscaping staff. Very attentive property management team! Quick to answer any questions and help out anyway needed.
Condo very nice and clean. Kitchen has just about everything you need. Could use some more storage containers.
The couch is very comfy!
Nicely decorated. Very functional.
They supply Beach chairs, coolers and other beach items.
Nice lanai to sit on and watch sunset or eat meals. Nice and breezy.
Rooms nice. Both with their own closely detached bathrooms. The One with Queen bed has nice views of ocean. The other bedroom with the two twins has no views and next to main Kihei Rd with some street noise but with fans on it drowns it out. Showers great. Good water pressure. Good height even for my 6’3” husband. Nice and lots of towels. Nice beach towels too.
Extra perk is rooftop views! For watching sunrise or sunset.
Ocean for swimming is walled off with rock wall so very safe and shallow. Even had a group of turtles nesting there!
The grass is like a golf course! We did our exercises outside on the lawn out back by the ocean under the swaying coconut trees! So nice.
Location is in north kihei so not too busy, but very central to everything and other parts of Maui.
Overall a great stay for us as we came mainly to volunteer and to help support the Maui community! Keep Maui Strong!
