Such a clean, well maintained property. Great respect towards quiet time at night and very hardworking gracious staff. Across the road from the ocean and close to all amenities.
Good, clean place for the money. We ended up using the hideabed as it was more comfortable than the bed in the bedroom.
The property owner had not cleared out the cabinets so we could store our things in the kitchen or master closet. We had to figure out where to put their stuff so we could make the kitchen useable for a month long stay. So it took us 4-5 days to get settled in. Property manager generously sent cleaners to dust, vacuum the place. Dresser drawers were all full so we had to move the owner things out to make way for our things. Once we settled in the place was very enjoyable and the location was great. The old tv was not set up for streaming but I brought cables to hook up our computer.
The location was wonderful, nice view of pool and grounds, 10 minute walk to beach (for us 15!) FIVE STARS TO THAT!! We were initially disappointed as the 2nd bathroom shower was torn apart and not usable and we are used to using two bathrooms. The listing said “completely updated” unit which it is not. From the very first impression, the entry door and down the hall the unit felt beat up. Several cabinets in the kitchen did not close correctly, the whole condo needs a good deep cleaning (inside all cabinets and drawers) and a new overall paint job. Furnishings were comfortable, but too much stuff stored in br closet and dresser described as large (is not). After we rearranged closet and drawers, we had some space to put our stuff. Then after we resolved the issue of one fully working bathroom vs. two as we had found thru VRBO, leased thru AA Oceanfront via owners, we settled down to enjoy our balcony, the very well maintained pool area and the beach. This was a huge vacation for us of 12 days, first time in Maui, for the money we had a lot of intial surprises and disappointments. Even the toaster only did one side of the bread!! This unit needs some work.

Beautiful resort. Landscaping is stunning. The condo is well appointed with all the kitchen amenities you need for at home meals. Beach chairs, towels, boogie boards, some snorkel gear are available for use. Excellent location to walk to beach and many restaurants. Excellent view of the pool, and grounds from private lanai. Reserved parking for your rental car. The property has a beautiful, warm pool. Two hot tubs, one for adults, along with a small child pool. Was wonderful to see children running on the spacious grass areas, playing games, frisbee, soccer etc. I used the bbq area frequently. Excellent Weber Genesis units available in 3 separate areas. Huge money saver for lunches and dinner in Maui. The unit is clean and comfortable and we would definitely consider staying hear again if we had opportunity in the future. Thumbs up to AA Ocean Front rentals for their management. Top notch communication and instructions from start to finish. Mahalo “

The mattress in the bed room may be the worst mattress I have ever slept on. So incredibly old and broken down that it sags yet pokes. It made sleep almost impossible. It was so bad we slept in the living room on the Murphy Bed the rest of the trip which was not ideal, having to remake the living room every morning.
The only other thing that was missing were plastic dishes to use at the bbq’s and on the pool deck.
I’d hesitate to stay in this unit again unless they updated the mattress in the bedroom.

This was our first time on Maui and everyone were so helpful in getting us settled and the condo was great to stay in. The people who take care of the property were helpful and very friendly!
Perfect location to several of the best beaches on Maui. My opinion is that the Kamaole Sands is the best condo complex, very well maintained and nice pool and facilities. Many great restaurants within a two mile radius. This particular unit and management comoany were excellent — well appointed unit.
Every time we stay at Kamaole Sands we have a relaxing time and meet good people
