Perfect for a family. The grounds were beautiful, everything you need within walking distance - pool, beaches, shops and many sights. Unit has been updated and felt clean and comfortable. View of the pool and peak a boo of the ocean was a treat. Definitely will come back!
The condo is spacious with a lovely view of the pool and the ocean. The property has beautiful gardens and is just across the street from a park and then the beach. It was also walking distance to shops and restaurants. Generally the condo was well supplied, wth soap, shampoo and body wash. The kitchen could have had a few more glasses and a corkscrew but otherwise had everything we needed. We had a small issue when a screen in a window in the bedroom fell out. We told maintenance but it was never fixed, therefore we weren’t able to open the window at night (making it a bit warm). Overall, we loved this place and would be happy to stay again.
The unit was nice and clean, other than the shag run in the living room, which seemed to suck in dirt and made sox/feet dirty when walking on it.
A/C is only in the main room, which is far from the sleeping area, however with the ceiling fan and windows it was still comfortable after the first night (unit was still "cooling down" from the day when we arrived).
Good selection of plates and utensils, but if you're looking to cook the unit lacks the bare necessities and you will have to purchase everything (sugar, spices (they were old), cooking oil etc).
At the end of the day it was a good value for the amount paid and Kamaole Sands is a beautiful property right across from the beach and has a nice pool area. Would definitely recommend this until to family and friends.
Good selection of beach chairs, bookie board, and sand toys. There is also a folding cart to make it easier to bring items down to the beach/car.
Front desk was both cordial and professional. Had a few issues and they were resolved quickly. Location was great for great beaches. Would definitely stay there again.

We weren't able to stay due to Covid-19. We cancelled 3 weeks prior to our stay and there were no issues or charges. Communication was very easy though the app. Only thing confusing about using VRBO were payments; we were to contact the property manager to pay. I would have preferred to pay online using a secure method such as through VRBO rather than calling them to pay.
Property was just as described and perfect for our family of 4. Been to Maui multiple times and the location of this condo was ideal for visiting our favorite beaches. Would definitely stay here again.
This condo was aesthetically appeasing, however we found it lacked some necessities. For one there were no hooks anywhere in the condo to hang towels, wet suits or laundry, there is plenty of wall space for this addition. There was no cooler for the beach and the beach chairs have seen better days. The view of the pool was nice as was the decor in the condo. Just fixing those couple of things would make it 5 star for sure.
Kamaole Sands is a great property and the units are clean. The unit 6-308 did not match the high standards of previous units we stayed in. The unit needs some real maintenance: bedroom fan on high setting is badly unbalanced, the 2nd bathroom vent fan is extremely noisy, entry door has no door screen and deadbolt is not installed correctly, lanai door does not lock, 2 kitchen cabinets under kitchen sink does not close properly (hinges loose), 1 radio in bedroom does not work, 2 broken designs on bedroom lamps, peeling paint on bedroom bath door and electrical box many floor tiles are scratched, not enough kitchen plates, bowls.
We like Kamaole Sands but we paid premium rates for the unit motel 6 condition.
