I truly recommend Kihei Akahi to anyone looking for a condo to stay in south Maui. I've been traveling to Maui for nearly 20 years, and I generally stay in 2 locations in Maui. When I'm on the south side I stay at Kihei Akahi. Its so convenient to everything near by restaurants, activities, grocery store....(Foodland), etc. It centrally located to upcountry and Paia. Makena, and Waila just a few miles down S. Kihei Rd. So yes...I highly recommend Kihei Akahi property.

This was our first time in Maui. The room was a bit outdated but clean and had everything we needed. You could see the ocean from the lanai and it was on the 6th floor. Fully stocked kitchen and beach chairs in the closet. We would definitely stay here again.

My vacation rental was lovely. A beautiful, clean, quiet and cozy spot. Perfect for my holiday. The only thing I would mention, and it did become a bit of an issue, is that the door handle often did not open after I entered the correct code. The light would flash green after I entered the right code, I would push the handle down and it would still be locked/the door would not open. I had to get a security guard to help me with it one day after trying 3 times to open it. You did order a locksmith to come and fix it but that did not solve the problem as I was still having issues after they completed the work. I had to try 5 different times to get in one day and bruised my hip pretty badly trying to push the door open. I called your after hours line one day and someone gave me a tip to lift the handle up before pushing down, which worked mostly for my last couple of days. Other than this issue, which did cause a bit of anxiety as I was worried if I could get into my unit after getting home from being out and about all day, everything was wonderful. And I bring this up because I really think you should get this properly fixed so it's not an issue for your next guests. I only gave 4-stars in two of the questions below as a reflection of this.

I rented five different units for 14 members of my family, kids and grandkids to stay in this complex. Everything worked out wonderfully. The company we rented from was fabulous from start to finish. Maui condo and home rentals in kihei. The location is fabulous, it's right across from the beach and within walking distance of several venues. We would definitely stayed here again!

The unit made us feel very close to home. The place is quiet, peaceful and had a beautiful view of the ocean.There were a few things that I would like to mention though. There were kitchen cabinets that were missing and broken. The kitchen utensils specially the spoon and forks were very old. It made me feel they have been used and abused, would be nice to have sparkling new spoons and forks to use. There were no cooking knives to use, they were all steak knives which you cannot use properly to cut. I was looking for extra bedsheets to use for the pull out bed in the living room but they were located under the bed in the room which I did not see until it was time for us to leave. It would have been nice to see all the beddings in the closet since most of them were inside, I ended up using the thick winter blankets instead. Overall, the unit needs TLC- it needs to be updated pronto. It looks old and worn down. Thank you.

Unit has recently upgraded stove and a beautiful sunset view of the ocean from the six floor. Pictures do not do it justice it is amazing. Tons of shops and restaurants are within walking distance along with kameole sands 2. Only concern is that bedroom window opens up by the elevator but for our stay everyone walking by was very quiet and respectful and the complex has signs reminding people to be quiet by the elevators
