Stayed in a beautiful remodeled condominium overlooking a swimming pool with a view of the ocean.
Spent two weeks hiking, visiting friends and eating delicious Hawaiian food. Our visit was truly like living in paradise.
Second time to the property, will likely return.

We LOVED our stay in this unit. The unit was very clean and modern, you can tell the owner took a lot of time to decorate it. It had everything you need in the kitchen. The Tommy Bahama chairs, umbrella and Igloo cooler were perfect, we even had people at the beach ask us where we got the chairs. We loved the location of this unit, we really enjoyed our mornings and evenings on the lanai watching the people at the pool, but it was never noisy from the pool, so no need to worry about that. It is also a very nice size pool, with lots of chairs. You could see the ocean and the sunset from the lanai as well, although we spent most nights watching it from the beach. When I had to make changes to my stay the owner was amazing to deal with, she was kind and responded very quickly. Nice parking close to the unit, we appreciated the elevator. We never had trouble getting a grill at supper time, though we tend to eat on the earlier side. The location is great for walking the 3 beaches and we always felt safe. The grounds were very quiet and well kept. We appreciated the air conditioning in the living room and the fans and air conditioner in the bedroom. We would absolutely stay in this unit again and highly recommend it!
This property is very homey and has more than everything you need...from the kitchen to the beach items. Looks recently remodeled...very modern and open living space. Would stay here again.

Like many of the previous reviews, we were pleasantly surprised by this unit. It had everything we needed, including rice cooker! We ate breakfast on the lanai and enjoyed great views of the pool and loved listening to live music on Wednesday. We borrowed the boogie boards, beach chairs, and beach towels. We liked being able to do laundry every day. The 2 bathrooms a huge plus for a family of 4 but the smaller one had a very noticeable urine smell. We couldn't figure out where it was coming from. Dining chairs should be replaced; the backs were torn before we got there. Otherwise, we enjoyed our visit and will look for this exact unit when we return.
We very much enjoy Kamaole Sands resort. Our family stayed in several condos there and we all enjoyed our stay.
We loved staying at Kamaole Sands! The facilities were everything we hoped they would be. It provided a great homebase to adventure all over the island. The unit was clean, well decorated and provided everything we needed and more. Would definitely recommend!
We stayed in this unit with our 12 month old and 2.5 year old, and had a wonderful trip.
-the positives of this unit:
-kamaole sands is a beautiful complex with an awesome pool, kiddie pool, warm hot tub and adults hot tub, and beautiful walkways. It’s safe and very well maintained, with wonderful, helpful staff. Several top notch bbqs and picnic areas on the grounds that made for memorable dinners
-amazing location: right across the street from a perfect kid friendly beach (sandy, lifeguards, baby swings in a park above, washrooms, etc)
-fully stocked unit (tones of snorkels, masks, flippers, boogie boards, blenders, Tupperware, kitchenware etc)
-mini crib available if you reserve with the front desk
-quiet, clean, well kept unit that was beautifully updated
-has a bathtub which is essential for kids
-very comfy pull out bed
-dishwasher and washing machine came with small amounts of detergent
-beautiful view of grounds and pool from the balcony- we spent a lot of time eating meals out there!
-the negatives of this unit:
-poor wifi (we couldn’t connect at all while in the bedroom, which meant we couldn’t use our baby monitor which normally connects to wifi)
-not a king sized bed- we didn’t mind this, as it provided more room in the bedroom, but it wasn’t as advertised
-noisy air conditioning in the bedroom
Overall the positives of this unit made this an easy and wonderful vacation (even with two little kids!) and we would happily come back to stay again in the future!
