The unit was clean and the view was incredible. The convenience of shops/restaurants/bar/beaches was perfect. The price was great also. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

We spent one week in Maui and stayed at Royal Kahana. The apartment was well equipped and had a nice view towards the ocean. Unfortunatley it was not clean enough for our standards- dishes were still dirty in the kitchen cabinets and carpet was awfully dirty (not vacumed at all). For this we find the condo is overpriced.

Everything was clean and acceptable. This property was a great Value! Nothing special the condo was pretty outdated and the A/C did not work a single day out of the 6 nights my wife and I were there. But this was not the fault of the property managers. The A/C was out for the entire building.
The communication was great with Chase N Rainbows. I have nothing but good things to say about them.
Only constructive criticism i would give is; It would have been nice have been informed of the broken A/C, this was the primary reason I booked this condo, since it had Air Conditioning in the title.

First and foremost...This is not a review on the Royal Kahana as they are great and really treat you well. Pool and area are super..Now where we paid for #319...You save up for a once in a lifetime vacation. You do your research. I found this place thinking it was privately owned being a air bnb. Reviews were good until after I paid for it. Then I starting seeing worrying reviews.Hoping for the best we did not get it. As you walk in there is a really bad musty smell. Had to put car air freshners to take that away. Coffee machine was filthy. Shower looked like someone had taken a shower then left(just a rinse cleaned it). Now my wife and I were wondering what was cleaned. Turned down the bed and found dirt(not washed dirt but the kind you had to brush off). We had to do laundry...the washer had dirt all on the bottom and the dryer had sand and grit all in it. Notified Chasing Rainbows and they said they would contact the cleaners. Never heard back after that. If I hadn't paid 190 bucks to have cleaned I wouldn't be writing this review. If you don't mind wasting 190 then the good is the location is great, the water pressure is awesome and the view is great.
Property wasn't in the best condition (issues with tub and washing machine), but value for stay was great. Location was perfect.

My stay at the Royal Kahana #319 was horrible. I have to stay the hotel itself was good, but my room was awful. The toilet was leaking which had the bathroom floor wet when I arrived. After a long flight, I go to take a shower which was very uncomfortable because there was a ton of water underneath the surface. I felt like I was taking a shower on a water bed. The water must have been sitting for a while because a foil odor aroused during my shower. There were malfunctions with the washer in which I was not able to wash the bath towels. Since it was a weekend and the management office was closed I had to purchase towels just to bathe. Also, the wifi was horrible. My daughter couldn't even submit her homework due to us not having wifi. Lastly, the management company that assist me was very unprofessional. The owner needs to fire them quickly, like yesterday. I mean they were very unpleasant. I literally had a verbal altercation with one of the staff members due to my complaints.

To take a shower you had to balance yourself because of the bubble of water between to tub and liner!!!! We called maintenance and apparently the owner is in no hurry to fix it! Very dangerous and it is a health and safety issue!

The location was perfect. The island isn’t huge so you can travel anywhere you want for day trips, but staying on the west side is in my opinion the best side. The room was clean and the staff were very helpful. Our sheets shrunk when we washed them and they brought us new ones that day. It was beautiful and quiet.

Best value for the price we found. Located in Kahana about 7 miles away from Front street. Great location for nearby snorkeling. Only issue we had was the AC worked 3/4 of the time. There was about 2-3 nights out of our 8 that the AC would turn on and run but it never got cool where it was cooler outside. Also AC never got below 74...
