    Property needs repairs and updates. Lacks some amenities like a decent knife set, cushions for patio chairs, the carpet should be replaced with flooring more appropriate for a beach location. The wands for drapes are missing and or rusted, windows cranks are missing and or rusted in place. The interior needs painting. Granite surfaces in kitchen and bathroom are nicely done.

    This was our 2nd stay at Hale Kai O Kihei but first time in 301. To get this location for this price is 5 star … right on beachfront, great beach for a walk or a swim, whale watching from lanai, parking. The trade off for the price is that 301 is dated.. While countertops are newish, appliances are old but functional. Furniture and carpet could use a refresh. In particular the lanai furniture is overdue for replacement. External property well maintained, did not use pool. Again … the location is everything you want from Maui if you want to be on the water. Will we book again … probably.

    The location was ideal but there were homeless men that camped out on the beach right next to the property. I didn't feel comfortable letting my kids go to the ocean without me being right there. It was a huge downside to this place and I know the owners can't control that. The master bedroom does not have a dividing wall with a door from the rest of the condo, we didn't like that. The exhaust fan in the bathroom was loud and didn't do a good job. The lights in the bathroom kept strobing really bad. The unit was clean when we arrived and the kitchen was stocked with the basic essentials. The view from the balcony was amazing. I don't think we'll stay here again.

    We loved it here, the view was spectacular .the third floor was great, only thing better would be an elevator as we are both 86. It was so quiet here not much partying going on, nice. The sunsets breathtaking.

    Communication with AAOceanfront before and during our stay was great. Condo was the perfect size for the two of us. Location was great, being walking distance to a grocery store, several restaurants and a shave ice hut, within a 30-minute drive to a lot of great things (e.g. two harbors, lots and lots of beaches, Lahaina, etc.), and a great view of the sunset every night. Nice, walkable beach and a refreshing pool make staying in for a day not a bad option. Our unit (301) had a nice, updated bathroom but some other aspects could use some attention - mainly cosmetic. Would definitely stay here again.
