had all the things we needed - stocked kitchen, beach equipment was very helpful, getting to beach and Whaler's village was tricky if walking. Parking on site was extremely expensive-- ridiculous to not have a pass for visitors to use. shampoo/conditioner/soap was teeny tiny
A large condo with a spacious lanai. Clean. Everything you need including chairs, umbrella and boogie boards. Quiet. Comfortable beds. Great location. Easy walk to whalers village and Kaanapali beach.
Property very nice. Close to pool and jacuzzi. Played pickleball. View is beautiful. Lanai is great for evening sunset and anytime 15 minute walk to whalers village and the beach. There were 6 of us. Spacious and had everything you need. Pull out couch for 2 guests not comfortable(most are not). Felt bad they chose to sleep on the regular couch for 8 nights. Overall I highly recommend and would stay again.
Very spacious! There was plenty of room and even areas we did not use such as the front patio and a side room off the second bedroom. The master was large with a separate dressing area. The living room was very spacious as well. The location was a win for our teens with a ten minute walk to the beaches, snorkeling with turtles, black rock jumping, and Whaler’s Village shopping and dining. We were very pleased!

This property was conveniently located a few minutes walk to Whalers Village and beaches while the complex has a variety of amenities (inc pool & BBQ) that we were able to easily access and use. This made it all very easy for our family (parents & three teenagers, 15 18 & 19) to come and go as we wanted. The property manager was very responsive and the check-in process very easy. The unit is as it appears in the photos and had all that we needed inc. beach accessories and towels. It was a great base for the handful of days we spent on the island.
Loved the quiet location in proximity to the beach very nearby, within a 10 minute walk around golf course. Pool also very close.
This was our second stay at the Kaanapali Royal. The location is ideal for visiting the various beaches, black rock, Whaler's village, Lahaina, etc. We loved the layout of the condo, and having a large living room, kitchen, multiple bedrooms/bathrooms make staying here a no-brainer vs. staying at a hotel. We loved how we could access the pool by exiting from the porch.
Great overall location for a family holiday gathering. Some hiccoughs with the check-in: information that was transmitted regarding gate code was incorrect; since we arrived late in the evening when property management office was closed, we called the "emergency #" as directed--no answer. Snuck in through the gate behind a car going in and clarified the gate code through the condominium association office the next morning. Property management company was surprised to learn it had changed. Next hiccough was a nonworking gas grill and then dishwasher. Property management replaced the grill quickly, but no functional dishwasher for our stay was disappointing, especially since we asked for and were denied a reasonable compensation. I recognize that we were traveling during the "high season" and that the taxes and fees included in the nightly rate were not received by the owner, but it would have been an act of good will to refund us a small amount for the inconvenience. (Maui is expensive and our budget including cooking in as much as possible, but we had planned on having a functional dishwasher).
The positives (and there are many): this is a spacious condominium, comfortable for a family to have privacy and "together" time. The outdoor lanai overlooks a golf course, is a 15 minute walk to a beautiful beach with snorkeling and cliff jumping, and is just 50 yards from a meticulously maintained pool and hot tub. Everyone was able to do what they wanted when they wanted to. The condominium was comfortable , safe, and generally quiet. Would recommend for a family stay.
We had a wonderful visit in Hawaii. The location for this home is great. It was spacious for our family of 4. The bathrooms and appliances could be updated but overall it was a perfect place for our family vacation
