The Waikiki Banyan is a favorite of repeat visitors with its host of amenities including a pool, hot tubs, BBQ area, and more. All this and just a short 2-block walk to beautiful Waikiki Beach, plus shops, restaurants, the Honolulu Zoo, Waikiki Aquarium, and Kapiolani Park! Public transportation is readily available, with stops located right outside the building on Kuhio Avenue.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Owner needs a new mattress and support frame installed. Should have been done months ago! Garbage disposal was not working and the severe mildew smell under kitchen sink was atrocious. Front cover of AC held on by ducktape and there was no AC remote. Controls are on bottom corner of AC unit, 2" above floor level. Shower pan drains slightly away from drain, leaving a puddle at that end to evaporate. How about providing a second beach chair for our use?The CCRE Manager was helpful only in that he showed up with more ducktape for the AC, to clarify the foul under-sink odor and determine the disposal was indeed non-functional. Does CCRE have maintenance standards?On the positive side, the unit was fairly well cleaned and has one of the best mountain views in Waikiki. Plenty of bathroom and closet storage. Laundry facilities were conveniently located down the hall and parking was a breeze (and included!).

We would use Captain Cook Resorts and rent this budget friendly unit again.

For our family visit to Oahu Hawaii, we immediately started our search on Airbnb but quickly realize there are any Airbnb listing are hosted by local condo managers. We found a top rated condo manager in Oahu Hawaii called Captain Cook, and booked our stay. As we got a promotion deal, we stayed with Hilton Grand Islander first few days and moved to our booking with Capital Cook at Waikiki Shore. We were totally amazed when we got into our condo. Ocean view to the entire side balcony. The kitchen was newly renovated. The property is RIGHT NEXT to the beach, with a back door literally open to the beach. The check-in experience was wonderful. We checked out of Grand Islander Hilton and our property manager Paul told us the condo is ready to check-in at 10AM. When we arrived, he provided us with code to enter the building and elevator. As we opened our condo, we simply was amazed! Our stay was wonderful. We rested well and truly enjoyed the memorable Waikiki sunset from the balcony every day!

We used to live just down the street from this property before we moved back to the mainland. We knew the neighborhood well so elected to stay here. We were very pleased with the property it was as described online. Captain Cook Resort personal were so helpful to work with. I would gladly book another property with them. One item to be aware of but not to deter from staying here is to know as all high rise buildings elevator usage is high so it was necessary to wait for an elevator. Overall we had a wonderful time and so enjoyed our views overlooking the Ala Wai and seeing the sunrise each morning. Mahalo and Aloha. We’ll be back.
