The view was breathtaking and the home was more than we expected. The beach is just a walk away. The only thing I can say is if heights may be an issue the road into the neighborhood will terrify you.

The house accommodated us very well for our family of seven. The views were breathtaking from the lanai and from each room! If you enjoy a quiet, remote location and having a studio suite in a lower level (with a small bathroom) that is segregated from the rest of the living area, (which was a surprise for our family), this place is for you. The beauty of the surroundings is accentuated by the steep hills surrounding the property. A true respite!

This was a lovely stay for our family. We loved ending our day of exploring with a lounge at the beach down the road.

This house is in an amazing location and has a great layout. You will enjoy the birds, trees and iconic Hawaiin sunsets from the lanai, or down at the beach at the end of the street. The property owner is terrific as well.

The listing fails to adequately describe this beautiful, custom home. It’s perfect for a long stay.

Pros The house was pretty comfortable and the location was lovely. the beach was great Hosts were really responsive and helpful the beach equipment was great Cons Most important was critical missing information. The description of the house did not mention that there is no garbage collection or that the water in the taps is not for drinking . It meant having to drive for a while to the community spigit and manage your own garbage. Just felt it would have been great to know that when we booked the house rather than know a few days before, so we could have decided if that was something we wanted to deal with. Poorly stocked kitchen The house need some repair Curtains and/or blinds would be a plus including screen on the doors hard to keep the mosquitoes out. The studio bathroom is so small that only a small person can use it

We stayed here in August as a family of 3 couples plus 2 singles. The size was perfect and spacious. There are 2 pull out sofas. The property manager was very communicative and helpful, the washer broke right as we were to arrive so he arranged for a neighbors that helps with property management to provide laundry service for us. Which was very kind. A good breeze when you open all windows and doors, the ceiling fans were a bit tricky to figure out. Mosquitos will get ya so buy protection, we burned a citronella candle and another repellant incense to help. The property has the most beautiful view of the ocean and sunsets were out of this world. There’s a black rock beach right down the hill, when it’s calm you can go for a dip just be cautious and wear water shoes. It’s about 1 hour south of kona so you have peace and quiet to hear all the beautiful nature sounds. So it’s a bit of a drive to get to shops and stuff. There’s 1 grocery store 12 miles away and a delish cafe called the coffee shack that has great food and homemade desserts (passion fruit cheesecake to die for ) There are a few resident geckos you can get to eat banana off your finger if your stealthy. And a few giant roaches that come out in the evenings that scared us, hadn’t realized Hawaii had those but of course it does! Everything was clean, plenty of linens. Shampoo and body wash , washer and dryer. Nice big fridge. Two dining tables , one inside one out. Simple kitchen necessities to make dinners including a bbq. 1 good cast iron pan, oven pans to make a pizza. We had an amazing time, didn’t want to leave.
