We had an amazing stay at Kahele Kai! The house was clean and spacious as advertised. Management was very flexible and responsive in terms of check-in and check out. Location is exemplary – literally steps from a beautiful beach and/or hike. These accommodations were perfect for a stay in Kauai, providing a more intimate, authentic atmosphere suiting the island.
A well maintained house in a great location in Poipu. Short easy walk to Poipu beach with a beach rental shop along the way. We walked about 5 minutes to watch the sunset and then the turtles come in every night at the beach. Just a bit further down in the other direction is Makahu’ena Point where the waves are powerful. The house has everything you need for a family and is well stocked in the kitchen. We appreciated the laundry supplies and spices left in the house. The pictures of the house are accurate on VRBO. We struggled to find a comfortable temperature with the air conditioning units in some of the rooms (downstairs was hot and one of the ceiling fans in the bedroom would only work on the low setting). We did not use it but the rental comes with access to Poipu Beach Athletic Club. Overall a good stay.
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our 9 day stay at Kahele Kai. The location is ideal to stroll to the beach- teen boys loved body surfing Brennecke and the rest of us spent lots of time on Po’ipu. Saw multiple sea turtles and monk seals! For the first time on Kauai, this is now our favorite island- it is beautiful with lots to do, or not do! The home was great. It was very well-stocked with all we could need, the host was responsive with clear communications, and did I mention the fantastic location. We spent nearly every evening on the lanai listening to the waves as the sun set, and the home design really takes advantage focusing on the great views of the beach and ocean. Beds were comfortable, air conditioner helped keep it a bit cooler than outside, and the bathrooms were very good. Highly recommend and will absolutely love to stay here again!
This place is worth staying at for the location alone! The beds were all comfortable and the kitchen was well appointed. The house is within walking distance to a rental place for surfboards, snorkeling equipment and more which was super convenient for my young adult children. It was amazing being within walking distance to amazing body surfing, snorkeling and surfing spots. It fit our needs perfectly and we would love to come back! Thank you!
Great property. Super close to the beach. We got in late night and had a bit of a challenge finding the house, but other than that, it was a fantastic property.
We loved this property. It was perfect for our group of nine (a mix of adults, teens and children). The house is a 3-5 minute walk to Brennecke and Poipu beaches and a short car ride to everything in Poipu/Koloa. We had all that we needed in the kitchen to cook multiple family meals. The outside shower was a giant bonus and the air conditioning units kept the property nice and cool. We would not hesitate to return! Mahalo for a wonderful stay!
It was a short walk to some very nice beaches. We slept 7 people in the house very comfortably and had everything we needed at the house. We appreciated the beach chairs and the kids loved the boogie boards. The view of the water was very limited. Everyone enjoyed our stay very much.
This was one of our first attempts at a family vacation home instead of a hotel. This house really worked well for our family of 8. It was clean, tidy, and just perfect for our needs. It’s a block away from the beach so it was quiet. But with a short walk we were staring at the ocean and some of the best beaches on the island. Thanks for sharing the house so we could create such awesome memories! Highly recommend because we could hang out and share stories at the end of the day in the family room and eat a bowl of cereal whenever I wanted…:)

This home is exactly what we needed. Ocean view from the large patio, and close enough to hear the crashing waves. The house is spacious and clean and had everything we needed. Poipu365 was very responsive to texts. The only caution which is out of the hands of the owner are the middle of the night and early morning crows of the many roosters which are everywhere on the island.

Overall, the house was very clean and in a spectacular location right next to three different beaches. The layout of the house was great with a separate living room downstairs a very lovely spacious main floor with a beautiful outdoor patio overlooking the beach. They were plenty of beach chairs and beach equipment provided. Our only concern was that the property manager said we could go at 9 am and it would be cleaned and the cleaners were still there at 2pm, so I would just stick with your check in time at 4. Also, we did have a power outage, and there was only one flashlight, not sure how often that happens. We would love to return. It is a fantastic home.
Our family stay was outstanding! We have been to Poipu as a couple many times renting condos. This time we brought the whole family and had a party of 10. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This house is in a great location allowing us to walk to the beach and not have to pack up vehicles for our beach days. The house was well stocked with everything a family may need for an extended stay. Thanks for sharing your beautiful home with us!
The house had all the amenities and proximity that you’d have a great poipu vacation. brennekke and Poipu beaches were essentially our back yards and we’re able to easily get out and enjoy the sunset while the kids played at the beach and enjoyed a shave ice. We were three families, one with two kids, one with one child and then the grandparents. The house was big enough that we were all comfortable. Thank you!
The house is spacious and close to the beach (easy walking distance even with toddlers). House comes with all the beach things you need (wagon, chairs, towels, sand toys, umbrellas). Access to Poipu. Each Club was a huge bonus. Communication with management was great. Highly recommend.
We had the best time here. Roomy home, perfect lanai, close to Brenekkes beach. Perfect. Loved it. No complaints at all. I would go back again and again
