Wonderful!
This was the best of 3 places we stayed on the island. It has a view along the coast that is breathtaking.We loved the sounds of the waves hitting the rocky coast and seeing the Sea turtles right from the balcony..

Really worn down for the price, kitchen was extremely small and not well organized, while the waves were amazing during the day they were too loud at night to sleep well. Bedrooms were clean and nice with comfortable beds but the lanai and living room furniture were dirty and uncomfortable.
Property on cliff overlooking water. Beautiful views. Can't be beat. Have to walk a few blocks to access the water. Then it's a very crowded public beach. Every night the turtles come up to sleep, in front of the beach goers. There is no air conditioner. There are some fans in the rooms. I would imagine summer time would be quite hot. We were pretty hot even in janurary. Although, by the end of the week we got used to it. We had a great stay. The fitness club is a great perk!!

What can be more amazing that sitting on your deck watching sea turtles below? Looking out from the dining room looked like we were on a boat! The bad news, not sure we will ever find a place that is better than this. I also don’t think I’ve ever stayed anywhere in Hawaii without seeing at least one roach, but not even one at this place. Lots of room on the deck with plenty of chairs for the 5 people in our group. I enjoyed the walk to the ocean path to view the sunrise. In early May the temperature was perfect 24/7. We did go to the athletic club to enjoy drinks by the pool, a game of shuffleboard and a morning workout. Beds were comfortable. The walk to Poipu beach was an easy less than 15 minute walk. I highly recommend staying at this condo!
The unit is just as listed with two very nice rooms and one smaller room, and an enormous balcony. With the cool breezes and the roaring waves, it was really easy to sleep. We didn't spend a ton of time in the unit and only used the pool once, but if we did it again, we'd plan more downtime to just hang out and enjoy the view.
There are only two drawbacks to the unit. The first is that it's on the second floor with no elevator, so it can be challenging to get your luggage and groceries up and down. The second is the parking. All of the cars are parked really tightly and there really aren't a lot of spaces. By the end, we were just parking at the top of the hill and walking down to our unit rather than struggle not to damage our car.
As others have mentioned, the location/view is amazing, and this is why you stay here.
It is not a luxury unit, don't expect high end linens, appliances, or furniture. The unit overall is tired, but standard and functional. No frills, the view is the star.
Up to 5 people would be comfortable. The pictures of the unit and seating available is accurate, so make sure it will work for your group. If you need a lot of personal/private space, this unit isn't for you. There is a lot of seating on the lanai.
Walkable to boogie boarding, snorkeling, surfing and swimming beaches. Some restaurants within walking distance, and numerous within 5-10 min drive. Close to grocery stores. Kitchen had basic needs covered. Saw turtles, dolphins and whales (in season) daily from the lanai. Lanai never saw direct sun all day, so the unit was always cool. Ceiling fans worked well.
Pool comfortable. Parking tight. Some units don't have elevators. If stairs are an accessibility issue, this may not be the right unit.
Beds are very firm. Washer/Dryer worked well.
Cleanliness issues: Sand, dirt, grease, food stuck to plates, grime on glassware, dirty mirrors/glass. Coffee grinds left in maker.
Maintenance issues; fire alarms had bad batteries and beeped the first night there, bath hardware loose and/or corroded, paint chipping off in places, lanai doors hard to open/close/lock.
Had a great time, just know what to expect!

We had a lovely time at Poipu Shores 301B. We visited the National Tropical Botanic Gardens, the coffee plantation, Waimai Canyon, Princeville and Hanalai beach, and Koloa Town. The island has such variety. Very beautiful!!! This condois very conveniently located and we would stay here again. Mahalo!
We loved the ocean front experience! Watching the surf and turtles…listening to the waves throughout the day and night. We would stay here again but for fewer days. Our family of 6 (all adult size) found the kitchen and living area to be too small to be comfortable. Fortunately, the beautiful weather allowed us to spend a lot of time out on the wonderful balcony.
Pros: amazing ocean front view! frequent sea turtle sightings, ample balcony seating, spacious bedrooms, walking distance to the beaches (take the “short-cut”), nice pool, some recent updates (kitchen, flooring, showers), athletic club access.
Cons: tight/small kitchen, small living area, no AC, challenging parking (steep and tight), damaged beach equipment (especially the snorkeling equip - plan to rent or bring your own), needs some maintainence (but much of the damage is salt water corrosion which is difficult to avoid given the location)
Amazing view - that's what you're paying for so enjoy it. Turtles, Dolphins and Whale sightings daily from the balcony. Overall condo and property is very nice and clean but not luxury or extremely large. We had 5 in our party which was about max. Bed and mattresses very firm....european style. Living room is small for 4 people but comfortable. Pool was not heated which made swimming in January not much of an option. Location is short walk from downtown and beaches. Would recommend and stay again....especially if the pool heater was working.
The scenery is so perfect you don’t want to leave. I could watch the turtles all day.

This condo is in one of the best locations with amazing views of the ocean, turtles and crashing waves. The layout of the unit is great, but it is in sad need of a lot of TLC.I was informed that it will be renovated in the spring. However, the unit was not very clean and all furniture and fixed structures need replacing and or cleaned. We had to call to get some general maintenance while there to the dishwasher and electrical socket. We did have a great time despite this with amazing weather and enjoyed the pool and access to the beaches. I checked no to recommending to a friend in its current state but hope in the future I can.
