BEACHES & CRITTERS: The beach size in Hawaii varies month to month due to weather, heavy surf, strong currents, and tides. Due to Maui’s rural setting, you may experience the occasional rooster, as well as harmless geckos. Geckos are friendly, eat insects, and are considered good luck in Hawaii. Please don’t kill them. Although the HOA schedules regular professional pest control services, pests such as ants, roaches and rodents simply cannot be completely controlled in the tropics. Maui is in a tropical climate. If our guest spot more than the normal expected pests, we always make our best efforts to contact and work with the HOA to minimize your interactions with these pests. Any contact with such pests within or outside the unit does not constitute a breach of this Agreement or give Guest any right to any refund or rental adjustment.

Perfect beachfront location at Napili Point with a fabulous view. Enjoy convenient access to Honokeana Bay for swimming, snorkeling, and paddling. Although there is no easy sandy beach access, you can enter and exit through a small rocky channel, so bring water shoes. The condo is cozy, making it ideal for a couple or a family of three (parents and one child). Overall, we had a wonderful stay here.

Only one set of sheets. Most of these properties in Hawaii need a regular steam clean of the floor. The a/c worked well.

The Property ID is not where we ended up due to some Plumbing Alterations. We ended up staying at Napili Point, A8 which had great views. Only issues were the sliding doors were difficult to open and close and the AC in the condo isn't big enough to condition the entire space adequately.

The location is right on the oceanfront. We snorkled with turtles right ouside our door. The unit is a little run down and the kitchen is not well equipped. The a/c was broken and there is no cross ventilation. The manager did compensate us for the inconvenience. We could walk to the beach around the corner and so many restaurants and things to do in this area. The pool is steps away and we watched sunsets every night from the patio. We would stay here again for the price.

You sit right on the water. You get to watch whales with your morning coffee and then dive in to snorkel with turtles before lunch. The property is dated but makes up for it in location and amenities.

The owner needs to put some money into this property. The entrance door/slider kept coming off its track every time you opened the door. You had to lift it to put it back on the track every time. Same for the screen door. And the old refrigerator stopped working on the third day of our stay. The property manager responded quickly and had an appliance repair person come in and fix it but food spoiled (we were reimbursed for that). Stayed at three other units in previous stays at Napili Point and they were in better shape. but the location of this unit is great.

Great location, views from the lanai, enjoyed whales and sunsets. Well furnished and comfortable. The trail to the beach was a bit disappointing (rocky and slippery), ended up using the roadway. Only concern with the unit was that the doors were difficult to use, did not slide well or latch easily, both door handles loose and needing a repair with a screwdriver. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen worked well for us.

The property has beautiful ocean front view and is the perfect spot to watch sunsets while sipping your favorite beverage. Besides sleeping, we spent almost all of our time on the lanai reading, relaxing, visiting with family, and eating. Communication with the property manager was clear and we had need need to contact them during our stay. The kitchen had the basic necessities including enough coffee filters, TP, paper towels, laundry detergent, sop, etc. for our entire stay though we did have to buy S&P-no big deal. Interior isn’t fancy and is a bit dated but comfy. We’ll come back!

Highlights: views, access to great snorkeling out the front door, grills on property, great AC in bedroom, walkable to other beaches/trails.
Lowlights: fees, stingy on extras.
We love this property/location and have stayed at other units in the past. We had always been envious of the "A" level units for their ocean-front lanais, so were excited when we booked this one. The view from the living areas and lanai are fantastic. The slight downside to this unit's particular location is that that the single entry point for getting down to the cove is a few feet from the lanai, so was heavily trafficked/occupied, especially at sunset. Still a fantastic location with better views than the other upper units we have stayed in.
As to stinginess, we were surprised at: no spices or cooking supplements at all (not even salt/pepper), getting only a single small travel size shampoo for multiple people for a week's stay, a note mentioning we were allotted a starter set of toilet paper rolls that we would need to resupply as needed, only 2 beach chairs and a small cooler (other units commonly have other things such as a beach umbrella, beach mat, snorkel stuff, boogie boards, etc ... things people commonly leave behind anyway). Aside from that, the mattress is overdue for replacement, as mentioned in past reviews.
These are minor but unnecessarily annoying as they are easy to fix with little cost/effort. Would rather pay a few $ more to not have to bother with rationing/buying basics

Overall, this property is in need of further repair and renovation. The shower is very good, newer than the rest of the bathroom and anything else in the unit. The entry sliding door needs a handle at least. Door rollers are shot as well, making it difficult to operate either the main or the lanai door.
The bed is the worst ever experienced in our many years of worldwide travel. Torture.
Nowhere on the website did we discover that there were flights of outside stairs to get into the unit, or a lengthy walk uphill, when unloading and loading our luggage. This was especially disappointing and difficult for us.
We enjoyed the great views of the ocean, sea turtles, islands of Lanai and Molokai, and sunsets right from the lanai of unit A8. Birds and lizards were frequent and welcome visitors. The grounds are well kept. There are sufficient electrical outlets in the unit. The washer and dryer are a plus, too, if somewhat old and rusty.
There is a cabinet in the kitchen labeled “Cleaning Supplies”. Inside, we found one can of bug killer spray. That was it. We didn’t have to use it, but we did find two dead roaches in the unit - normal for Hawaii.
Hopefully, the owners will disclose the stairs issue, repair the doors, and update the furnishings soon.
