Our Puamana home is about 100 steps to the ocean and 60 steps across a meadow to the Dolphin Pool (perfect for family fun). The neighborhood is walk and bike-friendly, where you can join a welcoming community on the lawn or at the clubhouse for the nightly ritual of sunset viewing.
Both front and back outside sitting areas of Hale Aloe afford you privacy, without the continual foot traffic of ocean front properties. Enjoy beverages and dining on your lanai, where you will find some of Puamana’s oldest plumeria trees, swaying palms, a bubbling fountain – and lots of aloe. It’s the hardiest thing in our garden and heals a sunburn or irritated skin – and why we call our place Hale Aloe (House of Aloe).
Hale Aloe perfectly accommodates a family of six, or two friendly couples. Recently renovated, the unit features cool travertine floors throughout, double-pane windows, new appliances; decorated in a contemporary Hawaiian motif, Hale Aloe is filled with local and vintage art. The kitchen is fully equipped for indoor cooking, and there’s a Weber BBQ for outdoor grilling. Your home in Paradise has a washer/dryer, air-conditioning and ceiling fans, land line phone, free wireless Internet, 4 built-in USB charging stations, and 3 flat screen TV’s (all cable connected).
The spacious master bedroom features a king-sized bed with sumptuous private bath and walk-in shower. The loft bedroom offers a choice of sleeping options: a full-size platform bed with drawers, a twin-sized fold-down couch, small air bed, and two fold-out sleep cushions. The queen sleeper sofa in the living room has a comfy new Tempurpedic? mattress.
Our unit is just a short walk from the clubhouse, tennis and badminton courts, 2 additional swimming pools, and ½ mile of shoreline. We have a seasonal sandy beach on the property, and a year round popular surfing beach is just south of our unit (Puamana Beach Park) where you can catch some of the best waves in West Maui. This unit is located near the highway and there is some road noise if sitting outside on the lanai. But the double pane window block the sound when indoors. Please note that this unit is allowed only one vehicle in a non-covered stall.

We loved our stay at Hale Aloe in Puamana! The condo owners were very attentive and quick to respond to any questions we had. This unit is on the mauka side of Puamana so there is a bit more road noise from the Hanoapiilani Highway. The condo was well stocked and is older, but the owners have taken great care of it. The ocean was literally just seconds away, a very short walk from the front door. We absolutely loved our time here. Our daughters loved swimming in the ocean, as well as spending a lot of time in the pools. Puamana is such a beautiful place!It was with an extremely heavy heart and fear of uncertainty that we were forced to evacuate due to the fire, and hurricane force winds, on August 8th, 2023, that decimated Lahaina town. The owners maintained contact with us during the evacuation and ultimately refunded the reservation nights we were unable to use. It was a tragic and abrupt end to our time on the island, but we look forward to the day Lahaina rebuilds and can come stay in Puamana again. In the meantime, we will be praying for the people of Lahaina and all of Maui.

This place was so cozy and welcoming. All three kids fit easily upstairs and everything was so well appoinnted! This is definitely a place that stands out from th typical rental that is set up skeletally to extract maximum profit at the expense of comfort.
The florid back patio is a relaxing spot to start and end the day and it's a few steps to walk to Puamana'a little beach.

We loved being in Lahaina and the location was great. Beach access right on the property made it extremely convenient. We also appreciated the short distance to Front Street with all the shops and restaurants. The kitchen comes well-equipped for cooking. The check-out process was much better than other properties we’ve stayed at before. We did notice that the sliding glass door in the master bedroom didn’t have a dowel and the door handle lock wasn’t clearly visible. We contacted the property manager and they had someone check it right away and explained how to check the handle to ensure it was locked. We appreciated their attentiveness.

We came to Maui for a family vacation and for our son's 10th birthday over the fourth of July, this is an IDEAL location!!! Steps from a (basically) private beach, walking distance into Lahaina, and perfect for 2 parents downstairs and 2 kids upstairs.

This property had everything we needed! All the beach necessities (chairs, umbrella, noodles for the pool!) The kitchen was well stocked and even had a coffee bean grinder for the Kona coffee we bought at Costco when we landed. We loved Puamana - more quiet than the large resort areas. We were able to walk with a stroller to town but be warned no sidewalk for a large portion. Traffic wasn’t bad and we felt navigating the walk.
I can’t think of anything we’d change about our stay!!

The townhouse was comfortable and nicely appointed. The beach chairs, cooler and beach towels really came in handy. I highly recommend snorkeling at the sunken pier at Mala Ramp in Lahaina. Lots of fish and turtles!

The property has all the comforts of home and yet it’s still located right near downtown Lahaina with numerous businesses including restaurants, grocery stores and shops. Would gladly stay here again.
