Our trip did not go as smoothly as planned. When we check in late, we found the unit had not been cleaned. So we cleaned it and made the bed. (The owner did refund the cleaning fee.). The hot water was spradic, so not all showers were hot. The unit locked us out prior to checkout time, but she was able to give us anew code so we could retrieve our luggage. It was fine, but not a relaxing vacation condo.
We loved staying here! Direct access to the beach was amazing and we loved how quiet the complex and beach were. It was super convenient having AC, beach towels, chairs, and snorkel gear and the host was able to give us a little later check out time.
Everything was simply amazing and so perfect! The condo was beautiful with an amazing view and was a great location for an HQ for all of our adventures. The sandwich shop downstairs was very convenient - and a super cute dive bar to boot! I could not have been more pleased with our stay and would absolutely stay here again!
I really wanted to give this stay 5 stars, but unfortunately, I can’t. The check-in process was smooth, but once we got inside, we noticed the floors were extremely dirty—after just five minutes of walking around, our socks were covered in grime. The AC wasn’t strong enough to cool the bedroom, making it uncomfortably warm at night. The Wi-Fi and cable kept cutting out, which wasn’t a huge issue since we were out most of the time, but still worth mentioning.On the bright side, the view from the balcony was absolutely stunning, and the location couldn’t be better—right on the beach. They also provide chairs and snorkel gear, which was a nice touch. I genuinely hoped to leave a higher rating, but the cleanliness and comfort issues made that difficult.
We had an amazing experience here! Everything was so clean, so close to the beach and the pool was great! If you stay here, stop by the Sandwich shop right below! Overall, the hosts were amazing, check in was so easy, and it was close to all the good things! You won’t regret booking with Lisa and Dwight!
This property is amazing! I was visiting with my partner and I had never stayed in Kihei before. I was pleasantly surprised. The property is well appointed and has everything you need. It is clean and the check in process is convenient. Now to what makes this property special in my opinion. The beach. I can’t figure it out but the beach the property has access to is SO quiet. My partner and I would walk on the beach and there would be no more than 20 people on the 2 mile stretch. If you want a nice quiet place away from the crowds, I highly recommend this property. We will be back for sure!!!
This place was perfect. Centrally located to all the things we wanted to do. Walk out to the beach. Many extra amenities for the beach provided. The grounds were under construction while there but still beautiful and well maintained. I would recommend and go back if I have the opportunity.
This was our first trip to Maui. The condo has a great view of the ocean, pool and hot tub. The condo has everything one would need, coffee pot, Keurig, air fryer, blender and tea kettle. There are boogie boards, snorkels, sand chairs and a wagon to take to the beach. Lisa is fantastic. She replies to messages quickly and seems very easy-going. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Condo location at north end of Kihei was perfect with the longest beach in Maui to walk-on everyday! Condo was clean and looked just like the pictures with great views from the deck. We really enjoyed our stay!
The condo was in a great location, right on the beach, and nice to explore Kihei area after 5 nights in Wailea. It’s a nice comfortable vibe at Sugar Beach Resort. The condo was well-equipped; except no wine glasses. I would consider staying again in the future.Thank you
This was perfect for us. Lisa was very responsive to my questions and is a perfect host. The condo is clean, quiet, and the bed was very comfortable. It comes well stocked with kitchen needs, especially a blender and air fryer. There is a washer and dryer. It really is only steps away from the beach and Lisa provides everything you need for a beach day, towels, chairs, snorkel equipment, boogie boards, and even a wagon to haul it all. There is even a pair of binoculars you can use if you like watching whales
Overall nice experience. Towels rugs and linens need upgrades. Toaster was not clean but everything else was very nice. Appliances were very nice.Great water pressure and hot water. No problems parking. Danas sandwich shop handy with good food. Service was hit and miss. Don't be in a hurry. We left a rubber shower mat to make standing on the rock base shower more comfortable. Our cleaning fee should cover doing all laundry and stripping of beds. Your guests shouldn't have to worry about that. food
Nice little condo I could live here ! Had the best time in Maui The only thing was the beach at this time was a little choppy but really good beaches near by and close to wailea
Met all needs. Ocean view, pool, beach. Well maintained and equipped. Cooler, towels and other beach accessories as well. Would stay again if the opportunity comes about.

This property provides an ideal place to stay in Kihei, if you’re looking to explore the coast of Maui. It has a sweet view of the sunset from the balcony and offers a quick, short path to the beach. Everything else is in easy driving distance.
The location was excellent. Enjoyed the amenities, especially pool and immediate access to the beach. Covered parking was also nice. Seemed safe and secure.
Spent 10 nights at the condo. The host had great communication, responded to questions quickly. The condo was very clean and appears to be newly remodeled. However, Sugar Beach Resort exterior areas appear sort of unkept. I would still stay at the location again because the host takes care of her interior. Thanks for sharing your home.
Loved being central to reach other parts of the island, walking out to see the sunset nightly was delightful and then enjoyed a soak in the hot tub.

Beautiful views, easy access to the beach. It was really close to shopping, restaurants and activities. The unit was clean and had all the amenities we needed. Sorry we had to cut our trip short to get out before another hurricane hit. Great place to stay!!
This was our first VRBO and our first time to Hawaii. The unit was clean and as presented in the listing I feel for the price we paid it was a good value. I was surprised at all the owner left for our use both in the unit and on the beach. The resort pool and beach amenities were excellent and really enjoyed the grass area by the beach.
