Beach House sits on a beautiful 10,000 square foot lot with 130 feet of direct ocean frontage. The home is located on a corner lot with sand surrounding more than half of the home. The home is perfectly located halfway between Waimea Bay and Haleiwa town on Oahu's famous North Shore. The home was originally constructed as the Laniakea Train Station in the late 1800's. The home is raised above the winter surf on large cement pillars and because it was originally constructed many years ago it is built much closer to the beach than most North Shore beachfront homes.

Chuns Beach House has one of the best locations on the North Shore with a beautiful white sandy beach at your doorstep. Once you open the gate, the sand is just steps away. We provide many beach toys for the use of our guests including sand chairs, umbrellas, snorkel gear, boogie boards, stand up paddle boards, soft top surfboards, kayaks, and coolers. Chuns Reef is the best spot for water activities on the North Shore during the calm summer months. The calm summertime reef is perfect for snorkeling, kayaking, stand up paddle board and beginner surf lessons. Tide pools in front of the home can provide hours of exploration for the little ones.

There is amazing world class surf in front of the property during the winter months. Two Surfline.com cams are located on the property. The entire home was completely refurnished with beautiful Balinese furnishings.

***THIS IS A SHARED PROPERTY. THERE ARE THREE SEPARATE PRIVATE UNITS ON THE PROPERTY*** Each unit feels completely separate and private from the other units and everyone has their own private lanai. Please inquire about oceanfront units if interested.

***OUR SURFER STUDIO IS OUR MOST ECONOMICAL OPTION FOR THOSE WISHING TO STAY ON A BEACHFRONT PROPERTY WITH DIRECT BEACH ACCESS. THE SURFER STUDIO IS NOT FOR EVERYONE. IT IS A SMALL STUDIO, HAS A DETACHED BATHROOM, SITS ADJACENT TO THE BUSY HIGHWAY WITH ROAD NOISE AND HAS NO VIEW. It is a very basic, no frills, cozy, clean comfy stand alone studio at the rear of the property. The surfer studio features a sleeping area with a comfortable queen pillow top mattress, down bedding and fresh white linens....

Uncommon was the first word that came to mind when I discovered the place. A room in the background, behind a house, a separated bathroom, but… the more you stay there the more you wish to stay some more time. It’s perfectly clean and there’s everything needed (A/C, fridge, blankets, bathroom and beach towels, soap, shampoo, body lotion, washer and dryer, hammock, paddle and surf boards which Michelle (the owner) is kind enough to leave at disposal. She was so helpful, to find the exact location, give the best adresses and places to go to or things to do, and to answer a last minute booking. And Diane who welcomed me, was so considerate. The best part : a direct access to the beach, and a surf spot! A wonderful stay, so much I already planned to go back there in a few weeks.

We loved our stay at Chuns reef and cant wait to go back! The house is literally right on the beach and has plenty of beach chairs, snorkels, etc. for everyone. My husband especially loved that there was a great surf break that is directly in front of the house. He paddled out on the complimentary long boards several times during our stay. I loved that the bed was comfortable, the AC worked great, and the kitchen set up had everything we needed to make breakfast in the mornings and drink our coffee at the patio tables overlooking the beach. The host was very helpful and available if we needed anything Chuns reef was a dream! We would recommend this place to anyone wanting the full North Shore experience!

Description was exactly correct. Small, but charming and private studio at the back of the property next to the highway. Lots of boards, SUP, kayaks to play with. Although the room had no view, we had access to common picnic area, hot tub, and gazebo with amazing view.

We enjoyed the back studio, which may not be for everyone, but we had a great time and utilized the space well. The property is beautiful and the owner and staff take great care of it. There is road noise and the bathroom is not attached, but we understood this before booking it. The direct access to the beach is priceless. We definitely will be back and we might book the studio or the other larger units that have the direct Ocean views.

We booked this property along with the beachfront studio for a family vacation. Our two adult children stayed in the garden studio. It was perfect for them! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Chuns Reef. The property has everything you would need and is very comfortable. Would highly recommend

The only thing that would’ve made it a five star, is if we were staying in the main house which had views of the ocean. The studio has no windows! But was really comfortable. Next time we would hope to stay in the main house!

Big bed with expensive linens and well stocked kitchen. Airconditioning was helpful. Bathroom is down an outside path but that is stated on description and wasn’t a problem. Waking up to Chuns reef every morning is a dream!!

The Garden Bungalow was a perfect place for my wife and I to spend a long overdue vacation. It was great to be steps away from a beautiful beach and nice little surf break. We are planning a return trip with the rest of our family, to main house this time.
