It had everything we needed. Close to the beaches, restaurants, shopping, and main roads. Comfortable beds, and a nice kitchen. Pamela is very helpful. We had very good time.
Pros:Spacious kitchen and bathroom. Patio space great for early morning breakfast. Good location to restaurants. Neighborhood a bit noisy Cons:A/C. When we first checked in at 4 pm, all of the windows were open, and the temp inside was 85 degrees. Instructions listed at the end of the long list of amenities are to turn the A/C off when vacating the unit. When we returned from our activities each afternoon, it was VERY warm in the unit (81 to 85 degrees). Though the bedroom cooled off quickly, not once during our entire stay was the A/C in the bedroom able to cool the entire unit, even after it had been on for hours. We even set up an fan we found in the closet at the door of the bedroom to try to draw cooler air in the rest of the unit, but it was still 81 to 83 in the living room hours later. Most evenings around 9 p.m. it was still much warmer inside than it was outside, even after opening upThe unit description stated they had a hot tub (#1 in the list of amenities). When we inquired about it, we were told that there wasn’t one and that we were the 1st people in 17 years to ask about it. When we replied that in lieu of a pool, the hot tub was a big reason we chose the property, the reply was they could give me directions to the public pool located a mile away. By the next day, the hot tub was removed from their listing.We were unable to locate instructions for the tv. We texted for help, but no response from host. We finally figured it out on our own.

Peaceful property in a locals neighborhood. Wake up to birdsong. Close to all amenities, including the beach, by foot and by car, which was very nice. Enjoyed our stay. Mahalo!
Enjoyed staying in a quiet peaceful neighborhood within walking distant to the beach. Having our own space and deck was relaxing after a busy day exploring the island.
We had a fantastic stay at Pam’s Treehouse. She made us feel like at home from when we arrived. Pam is passionate about the island and we were amazed by her story. We were amazing by how well stuffed her place is from the water filter to the aftersun and antifog for the snorkel masks. We hope to come back in the future!
I loved everything about my stay at the Treehouse. It was such a wonderful, calm place to stay but still had everthing I needed (and want) in a vacation stay (including a laundry hamper and a full legnth mirror which are just so nice to have, but many places don't include).
The kitchen and bathroom are perfectly stocked with everything you might need. The bed is so comfortable and the bonus of the AC in the bedroom let me get a great night's sleep every night.
The neighborhood was very quiet, but within about 5-7 minute walk you can be at Starbucks/restuaratns and just around the corner from that is Foodland. I did have a car, but I could see how you might not need one in this location.
Pam was incredibly welcoming, checking in on me when I arrived and during the stay, just to make sure I had everything I needed, but was not intrusive.
This was a fabulous stay and I would stay there again in a second!
The Treehouse suited my wife and me perfectly. I think it would be a challenge to fine a place that is more peaceful and tranquil, as far as a vacation rental in Kihei. It is also a nice place to view the sunsets.
I’ve stayed in Kihei about two dozen times, and often in some of the better condos (like Maui Kamaole.) This was better than anywhere else, but don’t tell anyone—it’s simply too pleasant, and would become too popular for our return.
Wonderful place. It was beautiful, clean, quiet and had everything we needed to feel at home. It was so nice to have the deck to sit and have our morning coffee on. Kitchen was well supplied with everything we needed. Bed was super comfy and the bathroom had a great shower. It was nice to have laundry right there if we needed it. You also have beach chairs/ umbrella and boogie boards to use if you like. Communication was great and Pam was there to answer any questions and gave us some great recommendations. You won't be disappointed if you stay here. Thanks for everything Pam!

We did not rent a vehicle in Maui - just walked, bus, and a couple of Uber rides. This location was so convenient to all we needed. Pam is very hospitable and helpful. The deck is my favorite place in Kihei!

The monkeypod 'treehouse' is the perfect get-away! It is tucked away from the busier tourist scene but still close enough to all the Kihei shops and beaches. My favorite thing was the ocean view and just sitting outside on the lanai to relax and there's even a partial ocean view and beautiful tropical views from inside the large living room and kitchen windows. You really feel like you are in another world and it is very quiet and peaceful. Enough good can't be said about this place and the kindness of the hostess and her husband really help you feel right at home. They have really created something special and I'm so happy I was able to stay there!
A beautiful, spacious, and convenient location. Pam and Juan were such warm and welcoming people that it truly felt like a home away from home.
