Our family of 11 stayed at Poipu Getaway in July. The house was immaculate and tastefully furnished. There was plenty of room for all of us and the house had many indoor and outdoor seating areas which offered beautiful views of the gardens and pool. The amenities were spectacular!! We used the many pool/beach accessories which included snorkeling gear, beach chairs and umbrellas, wagon. boogie boards, and pool floats to name a few. The kitchen was well stocked and included many spices. The pool was very clean. Our host, Rocco, was so nice and very responsive and kept us well informed during the one day tsumani evacuation. If you are looking for a place to stay which feels like a private resort stay here!!!

Rented Poipu Bay Getaway for a week in July 2025. We ranged in age from 17 up to 76 years old. We all had a great time. House was well stocked with everything we needed and very clean. The location is great for everything Poipu. You are only a 5-10 minute walk from the Hyatt's swings that overlook an absolutely beautiful stretch of the Pacific Ocean. Jan and Rocco were always just a text away to answer questions swiftly. Overall, we were very pleased and would definitely rent again.
Our family of twelve enjoyed a one week stay at this wonderful home. The accommodations were perfect for our large family. The location is ideal with a partial view of the ocean from the large deck on the second floor. We were so close to the beach and The Grand Hyatt with several delicious restaurants. The three outdoors showers were a big hit with everyone as well as the pool and hot tub. The reason I am giving a four instead of a five rating is because we felt the explanation and tour of the house fell short. Rocco was very friendly but we could have used a more detailed tour showing us around the kitchen and appliances and how to use the tv for a few examples.

This is a very well run property and home that is in a private garden like setting near Shipwreck, Brennen’s and Poipu Beaches. The home was well laid out with three king beds in five bedrooms. It has plenty of private space on the grounds and in the house for people to read or have quiet conversation. Everything was in great working order due to an excellent property manager, Rocco. Our five grandchildren loved the large pool and hot tub. We grandparents stayed in the bungalow, which was perfect for us. The home is located near great restaurants and beaches and very good shopping.We highly recommend this beautiful home and property.

From the lush gardens, the inviting pool and spa, and ample living space, this beautiful home was perfect for our family gathering of 9 adults. Everyone raved about the comfy beds! Our host “Uncle Dan” greeted us with a huge smile and a tour of the property. Dan made sure our stay was one we will remember for years to come.
The property is breath taking and we could not imagine a better home for our family. The back yard and pool felt like it was an isolated oasis even though you are just a short walk to many amazing beaches. Plenty of places nearby for restaurants to walk to. We had the best week in the most beautiful location!
Everything about our week at the villa was amazing. It is truly even better in person than the pictures! The house was perfect for our family- from 11 month old to great-grandparents. The gorgeous property had absolutely everything we needed. We could have happily spent 100% of our week on site, from coffee on the deck watching the sunrise over the hills and ocean to afternoons in the beautiful huge pool to watching the sunset. The location is perfect- secluded and quiet yet just a few minutes easy walk to Shipwreck Beach and the Grand Hyatt. And last but certainly not least- Dan and Lynette are incredibly lovely, gracious and generous hosts. We were all so sad to leave and are planning our next trip back to paradise!

This was our second stay at Dan’s Koloa Kauai house. We had three adult couples plus one single and we all had our own beautiful suites. We so appreciate the house feels luxurious and homey all at the same time. The house, grounds and pool were immaculate upon arrival. We could walk to several beaches easily from the house. We enjoyed the salt water pool every day. It is so wonderful to be able to take a dip without chlorine. We will visit again as soon as possible!
Honestly better than advertised. Nobody else has mentioned this yet in the reviews - but every single bed at the property is comfortable. We slept well, swam so much and honestly could have never left the property it’s that nice.
We were a family of 10 ages 1/2 to 68. The place was perfect. Pool and grounds were a private oasis within an easy walk to beach. Had toddler friendly high chair/ pack and play/ retractable gate for stairs,which we
appappreciated.
Our family of six - two parents of three pre-adult kids and me - the very happy grandmother had so much fun making the best memories. The home is so well appointed the only thing we needed was food and there were so many great restaurants just minutes away. The Hyatt next door is breathtaking and we enjoyed the beaches all within 15 minutes. The pool was huge and there were so many places to lounge. I can't imagine a better place to vacation.
Great location to all the natural beauty of Kauai. House had a lovely tropical setting with private pool. Great place for all ages and close by activities. Private rooms for all with air conditioning. Beautiful kitchen with all the amenities. Grand dining room table for family and friends to gather. Fantastic stay !

This property was perfect for our big family getaway which consisted of 3 individual families. The pool was great!! Our kids loved swimming with “Herbie” the vacuum. Unfortunately the hot tub jets were not working but we would still soak in the hot water. Location was amazing and near a beautiful path that lead right to the beach. Beach chairs, boogie boards, sand toys, kids life jackets all on property. Dan was very responsive and gave a personalized check in. The perfect house for multiple families or a large family!
The photos of this spacious retreat-like home do not do it justice! We had 12 adults throughout our 2 week stay and had room to be together and spaces to spread out. The home was very clean with high quality furniture and lovely art. The lush gardens and house design made it very peaceful and private. We will definitely return to this home on our next Kauai visit.
We had a wonderful time at this property with 3 generations under one roof. The location is perfect and everything you could possibly need was already there. We all highly recommend.
This house was perfect for our family of 12! We found it to be a perfect home base for our adventures. There was room for all of us to be together, but we also had space of our own and didn't feel like we were on top of each other. The icing on the cake was the pool. It was great! Just the right size for all of us to be able to enjoy. We spent many hours hanging out at the pool. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone coming to Kauai!

The property is simply incredible, a private oasis, so beautifully landscaped and maintained, and with plenty of space for our large group of 12 family members to share without any issue.
We were there for my daughter's wedding and were able to get some of the best photos of the wedding party right in the back yard of this property.
The check-in and check-out was very simple and the property owners are so friendly and accommodating.
This really feels like a home away from home - with all of the perks, views, and a very short walk to the beach.
This place has everything needed to enjoy a fantastic holiday for visitors of all ages.

This home could not be any better for a family gathering. Great location, wonderful attentive owners(an in person check in!), amazing property.
This was a fantastic property to stay at for our family. The location and accessibility to the beaches while still enjoying a private pool made this trip great for both parents and kids.
It is worth noting that there is great air conditioning in each of the bedrooms and no air conditioning in the main gathering space (kitchen, living and dining room). This area has electric fans.
The pool and hot tub were so great! They were well maintained and offered a great space to relax and play!
INCREDIBLE! Dan is by far the best VRBO host that we have encountered! His communication is quick and reliable. Dealing with Dan felt like we were dealing with an old friend. The property, from the house to the pool and gardens, is absolutely stunning! There was plenty of room for the ten of us (8 adults and 2 children). We never felt like we were cramped or like there was a lack of privacy. The common areas are large and comfortable. Well appointed kitchen with plenty of spices available for cooking. Outdoor Weber BBQ for grilling. The pool was so awesome that we nearly forgot that the beach was only 4 minutes away! We would definitely stay here again, feels like home!
This is a beautiful private enclave in an amazing location. The home has two apartment areas, one has 3 bedrooms and then the second basement unit has a bedroom terrace that can be made into two rooms. With an additional cabana there is plenty of room for privacy and at the same time it is easy to have together time in the many areas around the property.
We loved using the second floor patio that had views of the ocean for coffee in the morning and beautiful dinners in the evening. The pool area has three different areas to relax and enjoy the lush landscape and hot tub. So nice to have one of the most beautiful homes to come back to play and relax.
The hosts are very responsive and want to provide the best experience. A short walk to shipwreck beach, and hikes along the shore make this a gem. Enjoy!
We wanted to have room for friends and family to celebrate our wedding. This house is relaxing and the landscaping was amazing. Location is great for walking and close enough to walk to shops etc. Loved it! Dan was fantastic!
The house set-up was perfect for our group (family with kids and two sets of grandparents). The backyard pool is really beautiful, and we loved the hot tub on cooler evenings. We also enjoyed many meals on the outdoor deck. The location is great too - easy walk to Poipu Beach and very convenient location for exploring nearby. Highly recommend!
This property is absolutely fantastic! Dan was the absolute best host we have ever had. The kitchen was the most well appointed kitchen we have ever had! We will definitely be back.
Location is relaxing with a yard that is surrounded by tropical plants, a pool and a short leisurely walk to the beach. Lots of room for a large family to spread out and
have their space, yet accommodating for all to be together without feeling cramped.
