The location of the unit was great in terms of being close to everything we needed - beach, restaurants, stores, etc. Cleanliness was fine and the host was very responsive in all communication. Just a couple of weird issues - the light and ceiling fan in the master bedroom were either all on or all off - so in the August heat we could not have the ceiling fan on without also having the light on - not ideal for sleeping. The kitchen is pretty sparsely stocked. We had a full house and had to buy disposable plates, cups, flatware because there was not enough in the house. We also had issues with the kitchen refrigerator not working properly but the host was very responsive in providing us with an alternate solution. Upon our arrival there was no hand soap in any bathrooms or in the kitchen. We ended up going out to buy some because we didn't receive any from the host until the next day. Additionally, storage space with cleaning supplies is in the garage of this unit, so there were often cleaning staff entering and leaving that part of the property during our stay. All in all, a good stay, just some things a little wonky.
Maggie is the Best! She is a great host and responds quick to any concerns. You cannot beat the location and spacious home.
Great location. Very spacious and comfortable. Only thing was it didn't state if it were handicapped accessible. Took my father who uses wheelchair and cane. Other than that great place. Highly recommend.
The place is just how it is described on the site, perfect for our family’s needs, 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths. Noticed the place had just been cleaned as the floor was still wet from mopping. I discovered later on the place had not received a thorough cleaning. I went to shower and noticed to my horror, a pinkish film on the grout of master bedroom shower, I went to the second bathroom and noticed it was even worse there. I messaged host, the co host answered and she was able to come clean (at 9 pm) the second bathroom but wasn’t able to clean the master bedroom, as someone was sleeping in there and it would have been weird. They came the day after to put in new shower curtains as those had mold as well, but never came to clean the master shower, even after they told me they needed to “treat it”. So we had to take a shower with the bacteria infested shower. It was so bad, they agreed to refund me the cleaning fee. Not sure why I was rated so low, we cleaned the kitchen, left no garbage in the bathrooms or kitchen, left CLEAN dishes in DW, used towels left on the floor. 2 stars for house rules, not sure why we did not get any complaints from the host about breaking rules. If the two stars for overall experience was due to the complaining, I have a right to expect a clean place to reside in, especially when they are slamming a 200 cleaning fee and allowing a bacteria infested shower, who knows what else is lingering in the place.
Beautiful property, and accessible to everything. Our family enjoyed it. My 8-year-old boy enjoyed the board games. The only thing is they don't have enough bedsheets and pillowcases (there's 8 adults and 1 child in our group). Also, they have super old and scratched none stick pans for cooking.
