Kihei boat ramp is just down the street where you can find the best Maui boat excursions including Molokini snorkel trips or fishing charters. The unit was a good size and fit our family of 5 well. The kitchen was well stocked and had the essentials needed to "eat from home". The grounds were nice and the staff was friendly. There is major construction going on in the complex, so machinery and people were present.
The photos are a bit deceiving, the unit has been remodeled but it doesn't seem like it was recently, as finishes and surfaces are very well used and dirty/broken.
The unit wasn't very clean in general- we removed our shoes when we arrived, as asked, and soon after discovered that our feet were black with dirt- there was also hair in the shower and all over the floor of the loft, there were things left under the beds. The furniture was stained and dirty looking. This was discouraging given the large cleaning deposit we paid.
The location of the complex is great, easy walking to attractions in Kihei- and easy beach access. The condo is located at the back of the complex, with the deck overlooking a street (there is an ocean view in the distance which is nice). This street had several camper vans and cars using it has a place to camp/live. Most of the time it was quiet but we did see a few interactions that made us uncomfortable and the police were there once talking to campers.
